Very nice! I see what could be the pilot story to a series, with chapter stories that follow the newly graduated lxiart warriors into various battles, with occasional casualties, both non-fatal as well as fatal, but learning as they go. Hoping for more.
Patience my friend. Please trust that the story is developing at the appropriate pace. Episodes from the "SciFi HFY Stories Universe" playlist will be tied into this story arc. But be on the lookout on my community page where I will be posting schedules and story updates.
Sun Tzu said: Pee when you pretend to take a shit, and take a shit when you pretend to pee, for your enemy will walk upon malicious clouds unexpectedly, thus you gain victory without even fighting.
My only small nitpick about this one is that that the Ixiart lack anything similar to human adrenalin. Adrenalin is what powers the fight-or-flight response, which I would assume would be a common development even on relatively peaceful planets as it helps with survival against predators. A mammalian species without an equivalent probably wouldn't have developed naturally. Now, there might be a reason for it, perhaps the Ixiart were engineered as a pet species originally, but it doesn't seem like that's ever elaborated on.
@@vukkulvar9769 I doubt it, because the fight or flight response would still have use even in a peaceful society, as it's not necessarily just triggered by the threat of violence. Various disasters from workplace accidents to extreme weather can also trigger it, and at least in the case of humans we've even built machines (roller coasters and other amusement rides) and developed media genres (horror films and games) designed specifically to trigger an adrenalin rush. For a species to naturally un-evolve an adrenalin equivalent, they'd basically have to be sheltered from ANY potential trigger for a VERY long time.
@UTuberNo, the mutation can occur at random and un-evolve it. As long as it doesn't compromise the ability to pass genes by reproduction, it would spread. Accidents/Disasters occuring too infrequently and buildings being sturdy enough and engineered to resist them would mean it's not a pressure on survival.

Don't let the Ixiarts see lolcats. They'll never recover.

Don't Dead. Open Inside.
Exactly. Took me a while to translate "Humans Mastered", "Have Warfare" simply because it was so close to meaning something.
Beat me to it
That's funny. Somebody opens door.
"LCpl! What the fuck is that, Marine?"
"Sgt? I don't kno..."
"How many times do I have to tell you that you can not keep an Ixiart in the Barracks!"
The story is not bad, and the art is cool. Subscribed!
Damn that good, marines will forever be undefeated

The current story is going to eventually meet the Ixiarts again, among the other ally races covered in episode 2.
@@SciFiHFYStoriesAny idea when that will be? I am Looking forward to it.

I almost pity the Prozinuthian Empire. Hopefully, the Marines accept new Ixiarts teams for training.
Until the Ixiarts have instructors of their own.
Well, thought out short Syfy story. Love it.
Thank you. I hope you find the series enjoyable.
Khajiits in space....
Fuckin' cats in power armor XD
The alien allies would do good to read The Art Of War by Sun Tzu

They might have lost it from living in a too peaceful world for too long.

Good story
Thank you! 🙂
I like the art work
Thank you.
I'd say this story is about 90% adjectives.
I bet the Ixiarts are pretty good at singing show tunes.
Not bad, need to add some tension and conflict.
The is title confusing.
Longwinded and lacking substance, tension, adventure or character.
Eh, it's more of an atmospheric fluff piece outlining an alien perspective on humans.
Could you provide us with the link to your SyFy so we can read a master?
