I know knives aren't supposed to be cute...but that is the cutest little knife...very handy I'm sure. Great job on your leather work!! Love seeing your beautiful forest and the peace.
Tom, again, nice video. I like how you show how really nice things can be made with small scraps of material, minimal tools and a little ingenuity--double sided tape when you made your pattern. This is true bush craft and as you like to say "old school." I recall my grandfather, who had financial means, buying a worn out leather coat from a man who need the money, and then using the leather to make items that grandpa used on a regular basis around the farm. He had a few leather tools, which I now have, and his work, unlike your work, was rather crude, but it functioned very well. That is old school. I am a tool junky, and while I don't have all the tools I want, I have many of them for making leather goods and wooden ware. Recently I have expanded my cutting edge tools by making my own knives. Seeing your videos inspires me to get the stuff out, tune it up and get to work. I have completed one Kuksa because of your inspiration, as well as a spoon and ladle, and I am currently working on a kuksa for my wife. Thanks for your gentle reminder that the most important part of getting something done is to start. Take care my friend.
Thank you so much John for your kind words and for sharing this wonderful history with us 👍🏻😉 I appreciate your support very much and looking forward to making more videos for you and my other old school lovers 😁 Have a wonderful week 🔥🌲
Hi Tom It is "nice" that you say nice. 've had the same trouble opening that type of tin & in fact I have torn a finger nail or two. Beautiful sheath. Thanks Brian 78
Glad you reposted this one. I must have missed it. Having been doing a bit of leather work myself lately and picked up a few good tips from this one. Only problem now is that I have to buy a similar knife to yours.
Great music, wonderful skills, but for me I would have dyed it dark brown to match the wood, whatever, it is still a nice little knife and just as good a sheath. Regards Tom. ATB.
I gotta tell you Tom: those sharp little knives with no guard scare the crud out of me. Too many times I have wet or greasy hands when I'm using a knife. I kinda like my fingers! Nice job though buddy!
Thanks Charles for your feedback and question 👍🏻😉 You can buy it here: www.google.dk/amp/s/www.tobaccopipes.com/amp/falcon-pipes/ And many other places 😊 just look it up on google. Atb 🏕🔥 Tom
I do some leather crafts so always enjoy these videos but didnt you already publish this one? I feel like I remember drooling over that little knife before
I totally understand but maybe something added to the title reupload or whatever. Even after I figured it was a r e upload I watched the whole thing anyway
It will hold the shape … unless I try to change it to another shape. But most sheaths are made that way … Thanks for your feedback and question See you on the next one 🔥🏕 Tom
Thanks my friend for your kind feedback and support 👍🏻😉 I can’t remember the exact music … but it’s from the TH-cam library 👌🏻😇🦌⛺️ Atb to you my friend
The glue is just important when I’m sewing the sheath … it’s just so the leather doesn’t move in the process After sewing it’s holding well and no trouble with water 💦 Hope this answers your question 👍🏻😊 Atb to you 🏕 Tom
You have good skill in leather craft to make pouches, sheaths, etc. Why don't you offer sell this "monetary" service to your subscribers ? as little side projects?
Thanks Tuan for your kind feedback and support 👍🏻😊 Beside TH-cam that takes a lot of my time ( and I love it ) I have a full time job and just haven’t got the time to produce such items 😏🤔 But thanks a lot for your friendly suggestions 👍🏻😁 Atb to you my friend 🔥🌲🌤

If you drop your sheath in water, does it keep its formed shape or does it revert back to its original shape?
