    Thanks for your time and effort for introducing tree braids to your viewers. I get tree braids once or twice a year but I vow to get them more often because I keep damaging my own natural hair due to quick weaves and sew- ins in which I have accidently cut my own hair trying to cut out the threads from my hair in order to remove the sew-in. Ugggg! Now all I want is to see more creative tree braid styles so that I can try different ones each time I go get them re-done. Your braids were gorgous in this video.

    • @NeziNappsakaNezi

      Hi Jeannie and thanks, so much for your compliments and support:) I'm glad, I introduced my tree braids to my viewers, too. At the time, I didn't know, people had never heard of them. Although, they have been around for years, they are not as popular as other styles, such as weaves and braids. Getting tree braids, back to back to back, can possibly be damaging, too. It's hard your edges, especially, if you getting your french braids going towards the back. I'm sorry, to hear about your incidents, with your hair. To be honest with you, it might be best to just, wear your hair, without, all the extra stuff. Maybe, try wigs or simply braid your hair, without, extensions. Either way, with any style, you have to have a hair care regimen. I know, extensions, makes us feel super pretty. I go through withdraws, literally, once my tree braids are taken out. I hate for them to leave, because, I get attached to them.

    Ok I'm up late at night watching all your videos on your tree braids and they are just stunning on you. From san'tee to synthetic, your looks are always together and look very nice. I have always had my mom do single braids on my hair and she has been on my case about getting it professionally done but there are so many things to choose from out there. I've been trying to decide between micros or tree braids and I think you have helped me make my decision. I thank you for your time you put into your videos and showing us tips. I happened to stumble on your channel and I am now subscribed! Thank you really for all your helpful tips!

      Panthera82191 Hi and thanks, for watching my videos. I appreciate you and your compliment. I agree. I loved how those treebraids looked on me, too, especially, the color. Oh! The Santee treebraids were synthetic, too. Professional braids do look really nice. You just have to pay more and run the risk of hair breakage. You can always get what you want, eventually. If my treebraids has inspired you more, get some, now and then, later down the line, get your micros. Thanks, so much for letting me know, that, my videos has helped you. That makes me very happy and continue to put out more helpful videos. I appreciate your support:)

    Hi there, your hair is absolutely beautiful! I currently have tree braids, and I have a 4/6/8/27/30 blend that is beautiful, but I want to go red next time. Do you find the 30/33 part of your hair to be more on the red side? Also, how do you prevent the braids from the sides of your head from showing when people are looking at you from the front? That's currently the problem I'm having; I can't hide the braids that hang down on the sides. Thanks again for the video!

    They look so pretty and I want to get them so bad!! First though - How tight were the edges in the front? Do you think there will be a difference in the tightness depending on whether your hair is relaxed or natural, and how long did the tightness last?

    • @NeziNappsakaNezi
      @NeziNappsakaNezi  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Toni! My french braids were very tight, but, I'm tender headed, too. Normally, my braider don"t have my braids, that tight, but, this time she did. My head ached, for a couple weeks. No, I don't think, there is a difference in tightness, from relaxed or natural. It depends, on the braider, themselves. They tend to think, very tight braids, lasts, longer, but, it causes pain, suffering and breakage, in some cases.
      Hope this was helpful and if you have more questions, feel free, to ask:)

    • @NeziNappsakaNezi
      @NeziNappsakaNezi  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi MrsBeliever!
      Thanks, so much for your compliment.
      I don't know, if Tree Braids are good for the beach or pool, because, I never wore them in that manner. I will say, no, if I had a choice, though.
      My braider told me, with these particular Tree Braids, it's best, NOT, to use a moisturizing shampoo, because, it will make the extensions, slip out. If you are going to be in those, types of waters, you will need to do a deep, cleansing, shampoo and conditioner, which may cause, slippage. So, yes, the can be shampooed, but, I wouldn't recommend them for water usage. Just my opinion, though.
      On another note. Chile.........You will feel, so fly and gorgeous, to where, you are not going to want them to get wet, anyway. I'm just saying. lol

      Shalana Smith Nawl, I won't be doing tree braids, anymore. My braider started french braiding my hair, differently, in the front, causing, my hair lining to bald. For the first, 3 sets of tree braids, she did not break nor bald my edges, but, the last 2 sets, she started doing this new pattern in the front, was killing my edges! Can't do it no mo, sis, especially, when I asked her not to braids my edges, too tight. They are just now, barely, filling in and it's been over a year, since, my last set:(

    You surprise me when you said they can braid it in the back in a certain way so you can wear it in a high ponytail. That is very very nice!

    Love the hair and the colors!! It looks great on you. I am in Jackson, MS and am very interested in these same hair colors. How could I purchase this hair? Is it in beauty supply stores or sold by an individual?

      Hi Iris! Thanks, for your compliment. This hair came with my style and price. It is provided by Ladyz Of Elegance and they don't tell the clients, what brand it is. However, I think they can still help you with purchasing this hair. Go to their website and contact them. The link is in the description box, underneath, this video. Click, About, then click, Show More. If you need more help let me know.

    Vibrant senior, who recently cut off 15years of locs. Hair had started thinning on top. Growing back, but I really want to do something cute with a bit of glam and I think this is it. My concern , you lost your edges, what should I do to avoid this happening,

    • @NeziNappsakaNezi
      @NeziNappsakaNezi  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      joy anderson Hi joy! Wow! You cut off years of locs? I understand your reason, though. To answer question about your edges. The breakage comes from the braider, braiding our hair super tight around the edges. I told my braider, not to braid my edges tight, but, they tend to think that look is cute. It goes in one ear and out the other.
      My suggestion is this.
      1. Have your braids braided in a circle instead of straight back.
      2. Find somebody in person that has them and ask them questions about their braids. If you see stress on their edges, don't go to their braider.
      3. Don't get them.
      They will tell you to keep them oiled and moisturized, but, it doesn't matter if the braids are being pulled from the roots. Ain't no magic oils and moisturizers going to stop hair pulling.

    Hello. I'm wanting to get my hair done with tree braids, the same type of hair you have but my sides are really thin. Would that still look good for me?

    Hello Nezi Napps, question did u have a problem with the hair tangling at the braid not the ends? I have looked at ur video so many times that I decided to give the sister in ATL a try and I must say that I'm some what disappointed. I truly wish that I had gone with crochet instead. ugh, I hate getting screwed.

    • @NeziNappsakaNezi
      @NeziNappsakaNezi  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I'm not sure, if I understand your question, about, tangling at the braid, but, I had minimum tangling. Let me explain. On the ends of my braids, the extensions will start tangling, like, every 2 to 3 weeks. When that happens, I usually, schedule an appointment, with, Ladyz of Elegance, so that they can shampoo, re tighten, trim and curl my hair. It's a maintenance, procedure and it keeps our hair fresh looking and pretty, plus, it prevents major tangles. Now, when it was time to take down my braids, before, I would go to the shop, i would drench my french braids, with, Care Free Curl Moisturizer. You remember that Jerri Curl stuff back in the 80"s? That stuff was super juicy and it would soften my hair, so that the extension would just slip and slide right out, without, my hair and extension, tangling, together. In-between, maintenance, is the key to preventing tangles and ugly baby doll matted hair. I hope, I answered your question.
      I'm sorry, you had a disappointing experience with your tree braids with the sister in ATL. I don't know which one it was, but, the baby sister did a great job with my hair. I don't know what made you feel that way, but, maybe, you will like the crochet braids, better. You may like that look, better. Crochet braids, look so much better, today, than when I was growing up. They look like old lady hair styles. lol
      Thanks, for commenting:)

      Sorry that my description of my problem that I'm having was confusing. But what I am experiencing is the weave bubbling up from the braid. unfortunately, it's not on the side but directly in the front.
