I first heard the maha mantra at the end of a song by Boy George called Bow Down Mister. I didn't know it was a mantra at the time. But I couldn't get it out of my head for several days- it just kept playing and playing in my mind. Eventually I looked up the lyrics and discovered their meaning and learned that the maha mantra has been chanted for thousands of years and is considered a way to connect a person to the eternal energy of the divine. And I really believe there's something to that. I find myself singing it in my head at various times throughout the day and it always lifts my spirits. It's mesmerizing to me and so inspiring and quite addictive.
The Inner Strength that Bhagavaan Krishna gives me by the Chanting of "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare! Hare Raama Hare Raama Raama Raama Hare Hare!" Mahamantra is very true.. It gives me a clear vision about what all I should avoid, and what all I should consider as my priorities and how could I have a focussed mind.. I believe in this because my inner self is elevated to "Krishna Consciousness" by the Chanting of Hare Krishna Mahamantra!

I chanted the mantra 10 times in a row while laying in bed.....15mins later I was as high as a kite in the bed. Backs of the eyes felt awesome....I'll add it to my yoga and breathing.
The shield is mahamantra, speak it over & over & over. a never-ending bliss is ongoing eternal. Just because we are disciplined enough to skip the Vastness & colors of life, both good & bad. We are so disciplined to turn away from the society just in the holy name...

thanku I am experiencing the mantra making me free from everything and makes mind pure from dirty things but my q is if iam chanting this mantra regurarly and I am eating meat some time so it will affect to shree hari that his devote is eating meat. but I am not chant this mantra when I am eating meat
Hey Don't worry , keep chanting you will hate eating meat !! My self a meat eater left within 3 months .. please dont leave chanting ! Never Ever leav chanting.. he will bring you on track.. you dont worry about anything..
Miracle is the change of consciousness...you will come to know slowly what that means :)...maybe a few months to few years...to be precise, its a journey which will help you in everyday life problems. It has Level 1, 2 ..... but the highest level will be Enlightenment which hardly a few people may achieve...When that happens, you will feel all materialism, family ties are nothing but illusion and can only give you pain...When you die with the changed consciousness, your soul will be better shaped and get ready for a better destination...

Must reply (any one), I would not say I was sincerely chanting however I was passionate about chanting but once when I was sitting outside ISKCON - Shri Vrindavan Dham one of Prabhu ji while returning with us told me why do you chant? I told him I don't know I just like it may be I will be rich, famous or may be some materialistic things with sprituality, in reply he said if you chant you will become poor, it will give you vast knowledge but not materialistic things, I don't know but I am happy having money and sprituality together because I can't lie to myself and being fake, after all Krishna knows everything. I never got answer from my fellow Prabhu ji something is missing in there statements .... Plz comment
Hare Krishna! We must continue chanting in any circumstances. If you continue chanting, Krishna will do whatever is best for you. When Krishna knows everything about you, there's no need to ask anything separately from him, just keep chanting and he'll do the needful. Haribol!
@@LifewithYoga The logic behind is that it makes you a devotee without expectations. After carrying this thought you will not leave chanting even if your desires are not fulfilled. Refer to Om Swami ji, Black Lotus, he has given light on this thing. He as well says being devotee is not easy task, you have to continue in all circumstances.
