When creating and writing a new dual patch sound.. take these simple steps.
    1. Press patch/perform
    2. Press dual or leave it on Split (which is by default)
    3. Move cursor to where it says PRST and turn the wheel to USER (be sure to turn the wheel clockwise)
    4. Then move cursor to the User number to choose the next favorite, example 001, 002, 003, whatever is the next patch suitable to the song.
    5. Choose the patches.
    6. Write the title for your patch setting.
    7. Press WRITE and it’s going say.. Performance Write Are you sure? Move cursor clockwise to OK and press enter, finalizing title patch done

I love my Juno DS 76. I’m still learning how to play, so that has taken priority over learning all the capabilities of the keyboard. I have my usual patches though there came on it that I like lots, and now I’m exploring creating some of my own patches. As I’m learning worship style predominantly, Its important to get some quality patches with some different pianos and pads with strings and such.
There are tons of options on this thing and that is before even going to axial.....I may never go there.

This is great! How can I assign the 4 sliders to control levels of my 1st 4 parts? Or is there another way to mute parts at times?

The problem with this synthesizer is the users manual is a start up guide. If you wanted to change the effects structure of a pattern you'd have to download the parameter guide and figure it out same with changing the portamento rate or anything. Once you bounce back and forth and figure it out its fast and easy and is the most amazing synthesizer. It would of been better if Roland charged 5 dollars more and included a printed parameter guide I'm tired of going back and forth manual to ipad.

Shit. I’ve been doing my performances wrong LOL
Mr Diaz always shows you the best workflow. Beats me why this is only allowed at church tho.

Can you set each favourite part in a different channel, so that with channel change midi messages you can switch the Juno sound with a roland AX-07 keytar?

Hi. Thanks so much for your video. Do you have a recommendation like this for the song The Blessing. Being hours and days trying to figure out which sounds sound nice and still struggling and the song is for this Thursday sept 24. ☺️

Hi. Can you tell me how to do so that, in a performance, I can press the octave button and all the octaves of each sound move at the same time?

    Huge question
Can you disable the sustain pedal on a patch in a split? Like disable the sustain on the bass in a bass and keys split?

    • @jml7916
      @jml7916 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

A little late with an answer but yes. First you have to make a patch (load the patch, make edit, save to a user slot above 500). Edit the copied patch to disable the sustain midi. I don’t have my DS here so you’ll have to google that. Now add the user patch into you performance. Sustain will work on one patch and not the other. I do this with all of the organ sounds I use to re-assign the sustain to leslie speed. I also disable velocity sense on the Organs.

@@jml7916 Or just go to the performance MIDI page and uncheck the HD for the one you don't want held. HD is hold It's in the last column.

Can you change from favorite to favorite smoothly? If I'm holding my sustain and switch from my current favorite to another, will the notes that my sustain is holding onto abruptly stop?

Be a lamb and tell me something ... can you connect this (or any recent keyboard) to a Rodgers church organ and "have" that organ play the same sounds that are featured on that keyboard? Thanks so much!

In other words, get an RD2000 where you can create multiple internal and external layers in 10 seconds.

Hi, everyone. Just do yourself a favour, anyone who is thinking of buying this keyboard, because it is an excellent keyboard, but a terrible synthesizer. Spend the extra few hundred pounds and purchase the FA series from Roland. It does everything the Juno Ds does, but better and easier (watch Mr Diaz explain the functions of the FA on other videos and note how much more comfortable he appears explaining its working compared to the videos of the DS) to achieve. Plus, the sounds on the FA are a league apart from the Juno. That said, the Juno Ds is an excellent keyboard for the money, but it is a jack of all trades and master of none.

AXIAL sounds cannot be saved, you must keep USB connected. If you switch to another AXIAL collection, you will see the name of the sound, but no sound.

It’s poorly documented but it isn’t to hard. A DX7 is hard. Got a 76 on sale for less than half of an FA or MODX and this is a beast for the price.

Too late I bought it and I cannot seem to figure it out yet; like how save patches without losing everything I saved after turning it off. Using software was easier but my laptop bit the dust!

I played on one the other night in rehearsal and I was blown away. It's definitely NOT horrible. One of the better sounding and feeling boards I've ever touched. Period.
