I love Dazai! And BSD helped me to carry on for so long.
But although I think your rendering of this song is cool, I can't help it but being concerned. As someone who had suicidal thoughts for over 11 years, I just want to say, in case anyone who reads this comment is thinking that dying is cool, let me tell you living is way cooler!
The song itself says it, it's not easy to die, even if you try.
It's not pretty and the lives of the people you care about will definitely be ripped apart if you hurt or kill yourself.
Most importantly, there's a universal truth: hurtful situations and seemingly unending problems DON'T LAST FOREVER, there's more help now than ever, there's more people who understand than what you think, and once time passes and you get better, you'll be so glad you didn't give up...
I know I am. I may not have all the answers yet, but I definitely don't crave for inexistence anymore. I'm happy, I have hope and I'm not lying just to try to sound good, please reach out, change your perspective, cherish yourself, live! Because that's the bravest and smartest thing to do in this world.
If you're not really thinking about suicide as something good... then it's fine, sorry if I sounded preachy 😅
