Great video, and perfect timing, quite coincidental as I was looking at the same two items yesterday to install into one of my planes, the freeing led controller and a set of freewing a10 LEDs. The first thing I noticed were the voltage tags and got my multimeter out, note the led controller DOES NOT step down voltage! On the freeing jets, it looks like it’s the “blue box” which does that. On eflite jets, it looks like they come with resistors in line to deal with voltage, so now I have to go and figure out what resistors I need! Next time I’ll just buy eflite LEDs…
The LEDs are tricky. I have ruined a few by running 5V through them and had some that required 5v (Eflite) and I stepped them down to 3v so they were dim... Playing around with the different systems takes a little time, but it's not too hard.
Thanks.. I could post the stl on Thingiverse and setup a link in the description.. Its a pretty crude model as I'm not skilled in CAD, but TinkerCad works well enough. The painting prep was just using a fine abrasive pad to rough up the surface. I painted all the surfaces with a light coat of primer and then 3 coats of the Metalic paint. There a few really great videos by RCGeek that shows the detailed process. Good luck.
Now that is neat Will. I've never done that. Gives me an idea with a Beech 18. Needs a nose light. Appreciate these instructional vids.
Thanks for all the support Adam. Really appreciate your coaching. For sure the Beech 18 needs that. Thanks

Great result!
Thanks brother.. Appreciate the support..
Nice, I'm looking at lights now..
They sure make a difference... Have fun.
That's neat Will, just seen the link over from Model Aeroplane News 👍
Yep, they've used a few of my videos. Nice they are interested in the content...
NIIIIIIIIIIIICE! 😁👍
Thanks Dave. Appreciate the support.
By the way, great idea re the lenses, do you have print files? Also, do you have a video about the process you go through to prep and repaint? Thanks!

Thanks good info I have some planes I want to add wing lites too ,☺✈🛩🛫🛬✈👍👍
I should make a video on how to do that too... Requires careful drilling down the middle of the wing..😬
That be great@@SteffenRC
