His defense is so underrated! People kept saying PJ was our missing piece this year but I think Wes was a good enough replacement. In game 3, Tatum was 0-10 when guarded by Wes. He did good overall against Brown & Tatum in that series. PJ is not the reason we didn't advance further year, it's the fact that Middleton was hurt, plain & simple! If anything, I just wish Wes' jumper was more consistent (even now it's still probably better than PJ's) & wish he was taller than 6'4. That's why I'm excited to see MarJon Beauchamp! For the past few years, other than Middleton we've lacked tall athletic wing players on defense. Pat & Grayson were getting killed on defense. MarJon has the height & with a 7'1 wingspan he has the length to potentially be a great defender. Nwora has the size too, but he needs a lot of improving defensively, hopefully he's been working.

As a Laker Lebron fan I’m really happy Wesley still found a home here in Milwaukee. Sadly he wasn’t a good fit for the Lakers and he wasn’t shooting well with us. Although I wanted him out of my team, I still wanted him to find a team that best suits his playing style and thankfully, Milwaukee is the place for him.
To anyone reading this….Don't let no one tell what you can and can't do Keep pushing there are going to be a lot of obstacles but I promise you, you’re going to Conquer all of them.🙏🏽❣️

He had to play a much bigger role than he should have, because of middleton's injury. He did a decent job, but his shooting was mediocre and he couldn't even dribble a lot of the times. Defensively he did his job pretty well. Still a solid player and i would like to see him stay for at least one year.
100% agree. People hating on him are expecting too much. He brings that defense and hustle we sometimes need and he can occasionally get hot and shoot well. Glad hes back for another year

I probably stay alone with my opinion on Wes Matthews.
His defense doesn't justify his lack of productivity. I repeat. His defense is not good enough to justify 3 ppg. For me, Wes Matthews, along with Eric Bledsoe, is the key to failure for the Bucks.
He doesn't deserve a starting position, and i wouldn't keep him either.
