it is, matter of fact im gonna go play now lol
its very simple, to set it up:
you lay out 7 cards the first one face up and the rest face down, then the 2nd face up the rest another card face down etc until they all have one card facing up. the first should be 1 card and the final should be 7. these cards are called the "tableau." the rest of the cards go in a face down pile somewhere near the tableau, these cards are called the stock pile
to play:
the goal is to stack all of the suits in low-high sequence, beginning with ace and ending with king. these stacks have to be a uniform suit for each ace, BUT the cards in the TABLEAU have to be stacked in alternating colors going down, so for example red 7 can be stacked on a black 8 regardless of suit. when you remove the face up card from a pile to stack on another, you flip the card beneath it over. all aces get laid out somewhere near everything else usually above the tableau (some call them foundations). if there are no cards to be played in the tableau, you can draw either one or three from the stock pile" but if you draw three you can ONLY play the one thats on top of what you drew. if you play the one on top and the one underneath can be played you can play that too. any cards you cant use you place face up next to the stock pile. when you reach the end of the stock pile, you flip it back over and start drawing from it again. theyre different versions of the game, called one-card draw or three-card draw, so you technically ought not to do one-card and three-card draws in the same game, but whos really looking anyway lol
kings can only be placed on empty spots and empty spots can only be filled by kings, so if you clear all the face down cards from one spot you can put a king there, otherwise the king cant move and nothing else can be put in that spot
i think thats it, theres different kinds but i think thats the basics of classic solitaire as timothy is playing here. i feel like i made it sound more complicated than it is so im sure you can find a simpler explanation somewhere lol i find that its very intuitive and endlessly fun if you can shuffle :)
