I've always loved custom tracks in Mario kart. 8 deluxe has a ton of great ones too.
5:23 as a Canadian I can confirm that the only things that exist are maple trees.

Love the first track being a recreated parking lot course from the legendary kart game Logan Kart. That game is a true chaotic gem, and it's free. You should try it!
The Bowser's castle track is made by namco since it's a Mario kart arcade track.

I think you should try and see what shortcuts you can do with these custom tracks AND not have Lakitu! That would result in some pretty crazy shortcuts.

Even know I hated the pacing of dream team, it was a very nice game with the story and music, the art style with the UI Compared to paper jam (my favourite due to the pacing fixes) in fact, dream team's pacing was SO SLOW I had to download a cheat table for walk through walls and moon jump codes

Mario and Luigi Dream team rep?! And Walrus Cove from Diddy Kong Racing?! Two very underappreciated games that are some of my favorite. (DKR being my favorite racing game ever)
Mario & Luigi being one of my favorite Mario games, i have to agree, plus the reference is even more wonderful since you enter in luigi's Dreams IN the race

While not as good as their CTGP counterparts, it's cool to see some tracks from CTGP in MK8. They definitely need a lot of work if they ever want to match CTGP's level though lol. Some of the Retros are also inspired off the version in CTGP, which is pretty epic.
Speaking of, some MKWii content would be sick.
I wish the modders would move on to mk8 deluxe because there’s so much potential for some great looking custom tracks on 8’s engine.
@@IllusiveDev Perhaps. I think more people just prefer MKWii’s physics overall, and I don’t blame them. Plus with them all being familiar with MKWii modding already, switching over will be a process.
@@JosepiThe13th There is a much higher skill ceiling in Wii so it makes sense why a lot of diehards don’t want to leave Wii. It’s similar to smash melee for example.
