I got the blue one due to extra mag for only 10 more bucks. Surprisingly I haven't fired it yet but I got 3 mags for it lol. I love the feeling in the hand compared to my g17g5 t4e also. But I love the g17g5 because it's magazine self pierce and it's just super well made. I also got their vp9 love that one too. Best feeling in hand def is the ppq m2 though fits perfectly in my hand and I can turn the laser on with my index finger aka my trigger finger. Very nicely made.
That light at night gives it a more lethal appearance. I have had my ppq for a few weeks now and still haven't gotten the chance to play with it. I have nylon riot, and pepper balls I just got today. People keep trying to break into my apartment and I almost got car jacked driving to the store the other night. So I got it for my wife when I'm at work at night.
The light & laser combo are nice and quite effective when needed. I’ve never shot pepper balls out of my PPQ yet but have mainly adopted the yellow riot balls and aluminum riot balls. This LL is fun to shoot and it’s about the most compact of the LL’s. Rock the Bells! 🤙🏽
Hello Carl, These are a lot of fun and are gaining some momentum in the Less Lethal arena. What I like is that they’re very inexpensive to operate and it’s a great way to stay active without making a bunch of noise out in the elements. 🤠

Is the byrna worth the hype? Im trying to decide a non lethal for self defense besides my lethal ruger handgun. Would you say the ppq is the same as byrna?
If using pepper balls then the BYRNA is definitely worth the hype. However, the PPQ and BYRNA are worlds apart in so many ways, as the PPQ is a .43 caliber vs. the .68 cal BYRNA. If using alum/steel projectiles the PPQ reigns supreme in the pain factor.
I’m trying to decide too for self defense. The price tag on the Walter is nicer but I see real cops using the Byrna for crowd control so I’m trying to choose
Good video. I have the same Walther PPQ and shoot the nylon balls along with the pepper balls. Nylon balls will go thru a few layers of cardboard at a distance of app. 25ft away from target. I stayed away from Byrna because of the reliability.
Thanks for the comment and the sub TrpleP! The Byrna was so hyped up and I was eventually caught in their trap. Hopefully they square that unit away soon and add some trustworthiness to it. Haha.
Can you tell me how you load them? For instance 2 pepper than three nylon followed by 2 pepper? What way do you find is the best? I'm just concerned about the power of the nylon being diminished due to heavy winter clothing.
@@stephenpope578 The magazine of the PPQ holds 8 projectiles and if I was loading Pepper Balls, I would load 2 solid Kinetic projectiles first then 2 PBs, 1 Kinetic, 2 PBs and the last one being another kinetic projectile. Hope this info is useful.
This is just my opinion I own both Walther and the Bryna. If you are using them for self-defense practice headshots. Because if your assailant is wearing a jacket they can't do much to slow them down. However, a headshot will. Or their neck not many can make that shot.
@@NorthwestAdventurerNWA id say switch that spiting out using the non riot balls u might blow the ring shooting something that light, the only light thing I’d use is their baby powder rounds from t4e. I prefer to only use .43 cal Nylon/PVC riot balls with my Walther T4E PPQ M2. I have. Chronographed them as high as 423 fps, with a six shot average of 412 fps. The .50 cal riot balls perform great with the T4E TR50. I haven't chronographed the tr50 yet.
Top of the morning G.K. Spinoza, Those fps numbers are nice and I wouldn’t want one of those projectiles coming at me. I just bought a chrono for some testing except it only catches up to 400 fps but it’ll be good for my BYRNA HD XL and some other less lethals I have. Stay tuned. Thanks 🤙🏽
