- I've been getting tattoo removals in Tokyo for 2yrs but this is the first time I'm talking about it on a vlog! Busy work days, trying to manage stress levels and looking after my neighbours' lovely cat Bao.

Good time to cat-sit! A cat's purr has been proven the relieve stress. When your busy time winds, down you need to take a long weekend to Aoshima Island. better known as Japan's Cat Island... though you may not want leave!!
Yeah so I’ve heard! Bao saved me from drowning in work/stress ❤️ am yet to go to aoshima but would probably be difficult to leave without brining some of them with me 🥹

i love the cat !! it is so nice to see how well you take care of that little rescued cat! i hope you can do more cat sitting with him and show it on your channel! regarding to your concert at that jazz club, i find it so nice that they (the audience) had a special request for you to play the violin and sing!! i love how you sing! seriously, it's so beautiful! thank you and talk to you next week on next week's video!!
edit: i forgot to say that i think you might be spending way too much more money to remove your tattoo than what you spent to get your tattoo, that's crazy! 12 tattoo removal appointments and it looks practically the same, that looks like a bit of a scam

I realised after uploading that perhaps it's not apparent but I'm only getting rid of the tiny areas on the sides of my rose tattoos, so not the entire tattoos :) Those have faded quite a bit but there's still more to go. Could be that there are better places for doing the removals though!
We liked the vlog, but loved Bao!. We want more of Bao next time :D

l have a question : can a full stack web dev work with a person in digital marketing together and make money ? Is that possible ?
Yes totally. I used to work in a tech consultancy so most of the consultants were software engineers but they also had digital marketing consultants. For example when it comes to websites that need to convert or e-commerce it makes sense to work in teams that have both.
I went through the same. Went about 10 times for a small arm tattoo using a pico laser. Hurts, expensive, takes multiple visits. Wish i never got them, couldn’t go to a cool water park in saitama.
Ah yes tattoos can be tricky in Japan. Love my tattoos otherwise though, I'm just getting rid of small parts of my shoulder tattoos that were added later on while I was fixing my shoulder surgery scar on the tattoos. Had a very unfortunate experience with this tattoo artist and hated what he did basically right after it was done 🥲 So just getting rid of what he did.

Could you please tell a bit more about your experience of living in Japan and having tattoos ? Do you struggle sometimes because of the limitations in the spa, gym, etc.?
Also, how do you think, why did your fashion style change? Was it mostly the effect of the Japanese environment or because of all the things you went through during the last year?

Yes exactly, it sets limits for onsens/public baths/gyms. Sometimes I can tell that elderly people are a bit shocked by them. But in general, tattoos are becoming more and more popular in Japan as well. If my tattoos are visible, everyone simply seems to assume that I'm a foreigner since it's a lot more common for non-Japanese people. I wouldn't say I suffer too much from it though :) I love my tattoos and the removal is also just for the parts that I don't like.
In terms of fashion/style, I think I tend to not really think too much about what Japanese people think of me. I understand the culture but also feel that I want to be who I am instead of trying to fit in. Partially I think it's just my identity shift that happened as I spent more time by myself :) I feel like I'm in the process of discovering who I want to be and that's also slowly reflecting more on how I look.

@@oliviaimamura Been thinking for a while about moving to a new place after leaving my toxic job and I’ve heard great things about the work culture in Finland! Denmark and Belgium are also on my list! I’d love to work in Tokyo or Seoul but idk if I’d do well with the office culture😅😅 But I do agree, freelancing has its perks for sure!

I had my tattoos removed and I agree, laser removal was far more painful than actually getting the tattoos. I wasn't offered numbing cream - I feel kinda ripped off ngl! lol I found that the longer you wait between sessions, the better.
Oh I guess it must depend on the place where you do it whether they offer you numbing cream! The 2 sessions I did in Finland were cheaper but numbing cream wasn't included either :)
