This funky soul had us dancing in NYC around 76-77 and was a prelude to the disco era. Thanks for posting. PEACE!
TH-cam was launched 2005 and some of these comments are already 14 years old. Back when TH-cam was still fairly new🎉
I haven't heard this song in a long time, this is truly a classic.
No one could work a baseline better than BT!
R&b soul at its best the legendary BT Express 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Oh, MAN!!!! I used to mix sound for them on the road... 1976. Toured with them for 4 months. What a great time!!!!
When the rhythm/beats to Peace/Pipe was played, we hit the floor, we couldn't stop shaking/moving, those were the very best of the best dazzzzzzze!!!!!! BT express was one of the very best of so many of our soulful groups BITD!!!!!!! We socialized, dated, navigated around one another face to face, the exchange in the sixties/seventies/eighties, was a dynamically organic, experience that are indelibly etched in our souls!!!!!
The bass in this video goes hard!! 🙌🏾🔥
BT hit #31 in Billboard, 11-8-75. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
This is when people were still really dancin....the crowd is workin it out!

great stuff real funk I grew up with in the 70s we had this album(Non stop) I took it toschool to show it of,f a friend of my accidentally dropped it and broke the disc I never forgave him and 30 years later I bought the CD version and still listen to it regularly, one of the greatest funk groups ever
listening to different djs in chicago with the house sound in the early 80's and jacking to the music was really great at the time. didnt know they were on soul train with this song.
remember when the music made you want to dance? alll night long? until you passed out? I do...and this song was definitely there with me!
Now this was true seventies music.
I saw them in around 2000 in Japan. Still jammin!

Veritas, here's what I saw: the black church stopped live music gospel and started buying MIDI equipment in the mid-80's. Programming the music followed. Black music has always been rooted in the black church. When that connection was severed, a generation of young blacks lost their musical way back home. Sampling took off at the same time and rap and hip-hop branched off towards vinyl instead of live original blues-connected black gospel in the churches. At same time, music stopped being taught widespread in American school. Result: perfect storm that murdered black music.

NOBYA DANCE!
Michael Jones aka Kashif on key boards
Once serious-azz base line
In answering Veritas I notice something else too: look at this band. They look like a band, not a bunch of Getty Images models. Why should musicians need to look like models to give you music? If your doctor had to look like a model to treat you, you'd be dead...
kim koyduysa helasl olsun..selam,Hi,Hello Thanks"shockg021"very very very thanks

I'd like to know the name of the lady singing. She can keep up with the wind instruments.
dont forget alil crack sometimes
well I would be down for some apple pie tobbacco in a hookah and a nice philosophical conversation, and I dont mean mary j, but a social smoke with some friends and strangers would help calm people down, or pack a regular pipe with a friend and let it force your ass to calm down lest one get tongue bite, or a heart attack, once in awhile mind you dont chock it down like addictive cigs but once in a few months sort of thing.
subliminal? lol
This what Russia need to do with Ukraine and stop the madness come on Putin get some peace pipe in you
