"American rap are mostly about ..sex but, Korean rap music, like the real hip hop, are kind of more about life and some hate." I hear this take a lot. And I understand why that take is valid. However, it's the same in America people. There are loads of rap songs that are not secular. You just have to be a fan of the genre and not just listen to what is popular to know where to find them. Real hip hop started in the U.S. so you can find songs about every thing here. This was a really funny episode. I laughed so much at the stand-up and the commentary.
Ikr, K-pop is just hip-hop but Korean, I don’t understand why a lot of Kpop fans want to make it a whole differeng genre . Some of the K-pop even have some the Afro beats and dances, so there nothing original about K-pop only that they are Koreans. I don’t mean to offend anybody, I’m sorry if I did. (My English is not good sorry)
Isn't Hip Hop more of a protest of people's struggles, sort of a voice for the marginalised? I'm not into hip hop, by any stretch, so what do I know? lol
@@_Tie Yeah, I think Hip Hop's roots are from the marginalised people and their way of protesting, but it has developed into something more, as you said.
12:40 Sung-Ji literally has perfect pronunciation. She speaks better American-English than some Americans here in the US lol. Would've thought she was Korean-American at first
I think its surprising to hear a regional American accent from a non-english speaker. Seung Ji's west coast accent sounds so natural its unreal. If a native French speaker sounded like he was from Texas it would give a similar reaction.
Yeah, apparently she went to school in Canada, which is why she has a strong accent. Every now and then you can here her Korean accent come through and her word choice sometimes isn't that of a native speaker. But she has amazing English for someone speaking it as a second language, I only wish my Mandarin was half as good.
The sound levels were off, Jimmys sound way too low(maybe to hear panelists input), but even when the panelist were talking the music was high and the talking volume was quite low.
Fortune cookies are like half a Chinese thing, more a Chinese American thing. It's like American Chinese food where it was adapted or invented by Chinese immigrants for the American market back in the day. It's definitely far from traditional Chinese food but I consider it just as valid, even fortune cookies which was a single restaurants gimmick lol.
@Global Earth - FYI…Fortune Cookies is definitely an Americanized Chinese Thing. It was created by a Chinese Immigrant who immigrated to San Francisco, and who happened to start and own his own Chinese Restaurant. Also, Panda Express is Americanized Chinese Fast-Food Restaurant
Tbh, i don't think none of you are 14. Stop acting like that you are. This is one of the things that can be creepy and cringe at the same time. Take care
“I think American rap music is mostly about sex.” Spoken like someone who only listened to mumble rap. 😂 Listen to Black Thought, Royce Da 5’9,” Eminem, Li’l Wayne, Nas. Or the late greats, Biggie and Pac. Matter of fact, just listen to 90s-2000’s rap. For more modern rappers, listen to Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole. Nah, you really have not heard American rap. THAT’S real hip hop. For starters, just listen to the collab between J.Cole and J.Hope. J.Cole killed that. Different leagues. 😂 (and I’m not even American.)

I didn't realize sung-ji didn't grow up bilingual because she speaks better english than many people I know in the US.

Panda Express is the Asian version of Taco Bell

I want them to react to hiphop videos or comparing Korean and US hiphop! React to Harry Mack freestyle raps!

Just a criticism but with the sound so low and muffled the subtitles for Jimmy were almost impossible to read.
Jimmy’s audio is so muted that it is difficult to hear what jokes you are reacting to.

Saki gave up speaking English🥹
Her english is awesome though 😔
Her English isn't as good as her Korean so anything longer than a sentence she just speaks Korean, but she sounds really cute when she speaks English.
"Korea is a country of feminine people, both men and women" i forgot which comedian said this but it's soo true...
