What tool is that that you were using on your lathe?

The diamond chips you use are way to small crushed, you need the premium ones for a good sparkle, I found this out a long time ago, it was just dull, use the premium chips and get great sparkle. Other than that the ring looks nice,

Have you ever had a problem where the glue just doesn’t want to dry clear? I’ve been trying to make some rings and the glue will dry “frosted”. It’s like the application is nice and clear and lush, but if I let it sit or even when I use the accelerator, it’s becomes frosted. Could it be too cold in my garage perhaps?

I may know why that is. What grit sand paper do you use up to. You wana wana sand through the grits up to and including 5000. I start at 400 and go up to five then plastic polish

@@atreaunews6174 this is even before sand paper is applied. As I’m adding material to the inlay and turning the ring around, by the time I get back to the start, the glue is dry and frosted.
I’ve also noticed a few times that after applying the accelerator, it would produce a puff of smoke, which makes me think there a bit of heat created in the hardening/drying process, so maybe because my garage and glue starts out too cool, the jump in heat from drying is leaving a frosted look.
I’ve also noticed a similar result if I end up getting the ring too hot after drying. I was using a polishing wheel on a dremel and stayed in one spot too long and the heat created a similar effect.

@@extion ok if you are getting cloudyness through the ring to the bottom there may be a bad chemical reaction with the glue and hardener. I started using something called UV resign. Faster than glue and easier to use. You put a bit then hit it with uv flashlight. I can make a ring in about an hr including the sanding technique I mentioned. Luckily with uv resin you can do it anywhere inside or outside

super pretty, but why fake opal?

natural opal doesn't do well when crushed, synthetic opal gives a great colour pop and shine regardless of how finely its crushed 🙂

It seems like you make the same ring in every video, getting kinda redundant...

It’s what the customers order. I do have some new designs coming I just need the time to film them
