Great video! I’ve had my cammus since June and i love it. But the forza problem needs work. I tried when I got it then I tried again today and it didn’t work. Back to assetto I go 😂
This wheel base is one of the better ones that I have tested, especially for the price. To get a DD to feel "realistic" for drift and rally out of the box is very impressive
I'm waiting on the full kit to come but I've had quite the wait. Apparently they are still ironing out issues with the pedals but they didn't really mention it when I purchased it a month and a half ago. Supposedly everything is supposed to be worked out in the next week and it will finally ship out to me. Looking forward to it. This is gonna be my first DD and load cell pedals set coming from a TMX Pro set.
i have an order out for a Moza bundle. Wheel ,base, pedals (with clutch and brake upgrade kit) and a hand brake all for 777.76 shipped from 6 Sigma a canadian sim disto. direct manufacture shipping was another 200% just for shipping alone.
10:56 "Forza 5 must be some sort of software nightmare" Yes, Forza games on PC have always been a nightmare. Even though Fanatec "works" in Forza Horizon 5, for the first year after launch using a Fanatec wheel would crash the game in 5-10 minutes. As of 2023 it's "mostly" stable but now the game is just dealing with general PC bugs and crashes after 1-2 hours no matter what I do. With Horizon 3 it took about four years before the game was even remotely stable, Horizon 4 was always stable but the FFB support is just such garbage that it's just not worth playing with a wheel at all. Which is a real shame because the Forza Horizon games are the best open world driving games (hopefully Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown can change that).
@@NOOBIFIER1337 oh whoops, guess I missed that one. Which of the two do you think is better performance wise? I heard trufeel (I think that's what it's called) from Logitech makes a big difference in games that support it.
I went to the site and tried to put one in the cart and add nobodies code, however nothing happens when ai say add to cart and there is no option or account I can see on the site at the moment.
I've had issues with overly bright lights on PC hardware in the past, and I think this would be especially distracting on a racing wheel. At least it's static, and hopefully not difficult to fix.
I'm like you, and I still think about carry that at some point, but actually it doesn't disturb me at all. It's mostly hidden behind the round wheel. I don't have the 'F1' wheel.
Great review! Would love to hear your opinion. Now that driver 's software and firmware updates have matured? Even a video would be awesome but I'm not expecting that haha. Perhaps you could give me a little bit of insight?
That's a crazy sale price. Makes me wish I was planning to replace my wheel. I wonder if they really will kick the price back up to the normal price at some point.
No. The price has always been $499 for the base, $799 for the base/wheel or base/pedals and $899 for base/wheel/pedals. Now its even cheaper by $50. Plus you can always add 5% on top. Sometimes 10% off works too.
@@abuelb Well, Its currently 40% off on my link, so one could say the price is good... Check this crap out.. $940 PLUS TAX AND SHIPPING.. pitlanesimracing.com/collections/cammus LOL
Why is your GT1 wheel in D shape, while on the website and other videos I have seen it is in round shape? Did you changed it? I like it way more in D shape
@@NOOBIFIER1337 i want to purchase the gts bundle but don’t want to purchase a completely new wheel with everything just the rim itself so was wondering if i can just remove the f1 style rim and bolt on a 13 inch rim to that existing hub
Great overview, but devil is in the details. Compare it with Logitech in specific titles and tell the difference. ACC is numb in Cammus. Software and website has not changed in a year. Both sounds very scary. Looking forward for your in-depth, per-title and vs Logitech/Moza/Asetek comparison.
I mean, scary… worst thing the company stops supporting it, you are out $450, you sell it on Facebook and go get something else. It’s not like you are loosing $10k, right?
@@NOOBIFIER1337 True. It is more about possible time and expectation waste. There are at least three reviews where people say 1) it's surprisingly numb / worse than most in ACC 2) Software lack of fine-tuning mechanisms. Most of things happen in software nowadays, so one could expect this kind of issues get sorted. But then you watch reviews and their software / webside - nothing much changed during a year. Everyone got spoiled by frequent updates, patches and releases for games, drivers and hardware firmware, nowadays. In the end (so far) - high risks of wasting time even on not-so-expensive device. Plus, hard time finding one who does not care. Wish them best of luck and move faster. At least they are pushing Fanatec and Moza guys to thing of even better bundles.

If only I could afford new toys, even the “more affordable” ones. Great breakdown on this product!
Interesting bit of kit & a proper review. Thanks dude.
Sounds like a great product at a very surprising price. Thank you for the thorough review, N00b!
Love your honesty and your videos! Man I wish I had your toys! :)
I appreciate that!

Dang you went all the way with this. Nice job.
had mine for 8 months and luv it
Is it still good?
Awesome review and awesome product.
It is a solid performer for sure
thanks, i might actually start racing with a wheel instead of my years old game pad.

Shipping from China for my stuff was $30.00 and there was no duty.
777.76 is one cent away from great price for the bundle. Sound great, even for low-NM set. Congrats!
Great video! Please, could you share with us your settings (power, effects ratio, damper, friction, inertia and idle spring)??
Thx. Michael

I'll go by your word.
This or the mlza r12?
both are available in my country for almost the same price.
It depends on which ecosystem makes the most sense to you
Great review. Very thorough. What did you think of the GTS steering wheel? Did it feel like other Formula 1 style wheels in your hands?
GTS was really solid. It’s all metal and yes I use it for gt3 and F1
I'd love to see you review the new Logitech direct drive wheel, I heard it trumps any wheel less than $2500.
