My husband and I moved across the country away from friends and family, but our life’s is 100x better than it was before. Me being a stay at home mom, our Christian community, our church, I’m now running a bible study (never thought I would do that) everything has been such a wonderful transition!
This podcast episode was straight confirmation after confirmation. SUCH an answered prayer. Thank you for allowing yourselves to be used. Because of you guys obedience- I have been incredibly blessed.
My grandparents (w my dad and aunt as young teens) moved from states away to our small city because God told them to in 1984. They had never even heard of our town before, God showed my grandfather on a map. They started my family’s church. My mom’s parents also had just moved here and if my grandparents didn’t obey God, my brothers and I wouldn’t be here. In that same year my husbands parents moved here because of the military (and I believe obedience to God) and they became associate pastors at our current church, and our families met that year 🥲 I went to the same elementary school as my husband and his sister. Because of obedience we have 3 generations, my parents getting married, and then my husband and I getting married and now we have our 2 1/2 year old son (and praying for more) 🥹 Obedience effects so much more than you expect. Such a good word you guys
I personally want to be a stay-home mom and my husband wants that too but we just can't afford it. I'm currently going through the anxieties of wanting to conceive but then thinking about daycare and such breaks my heart. I don't want that. But also all this waiting! Currently inquiring of the Lord!😭🙏🏻🙏🏻 my husband and I are actually saving FOR THAT but definitely need the Lord to lead us. On another note, we already have a mission statement and we're excited to see how it might change once our family grows! 🥹🙏🏻
Amen! We have 2 children and both work full time, thankfully my parents and in laws are able to be with the children. But I definitely yearn to be with my children more, it is hard. But I’m trusting God for whatever it is that’s in His plan.
You can afford it! Rethink what is necessary and what is a want. Suzanne Venker has an awesome podcast and she talks all about how to be a stay at home mom and going against cultures’ ways of doing things. She is amazing! She has also talked about how harmful daycare is which you have already said you don’t want to do which is good!!
I hear a lot of "I,we" can't...but all things are possible through Christ Jesus. Little becomes much when you place it in the hands of Jesus. In Him there is always more than enough.
Hi! I feel the Lord telling me to reply to your comment. My husband and I live on a very very tight income. We just had our first baby in October, and I stay home with him. It is SO hard. But I would rather be dirt poor than leave my son for someone else to raise. I am his mother. My husband works hard for our family… and Lord willing his income will increase soon. But until then and even then… we are trusting God. He has sustained us thus far and will not stop! It is so possible to live on one income and a small one at that. Like I said, it’s hard but so worth it. Rethink your lifestyle. And when you think you’ve saved in every area you’re able… rethink some more. It’s also possible to do this debt free! Prayers for you and your family💕 The enemy wants us to be scared, distracted, and busy… not at home doing the most important work!
@@makensipittpraying blessings and heaven over you and your family! I pray you are blessed in your home and blessed in your finances in JESUS NAME! Stay patient and faithful in this season of waiting, your harvest is coming! ❤️❤️❤️
By golly! My husband and I are being INCREASINGLY affirmed and blessed by this series (really everything y’all are spillin)! You guys give off a pastor and his wife vibes. So aligned with the Spirit, and I’m so thankful ❤️
I moved to a different continent for my husband and my husband and I have moved around so so much and now we’re finally getting settled. Every single place we have lived in has had such huge importance to our growth and I get your perspective but there is a flow and trust that you just have to follow sometimes which includes moving places. It’s all important part of the story. After all Jesus moved around a lot too for a reason. You influence people around you and you’re influenced by them too. Obviously you shouldn’t force anything but focus on what God is calling you to do for your growth
Man, you guys! This was so encouraging. My husband and I recently moved our family to El Salvador because we felt very strongly that the Lord was calling us here. We got a lot of negative pushback from family and friends for doing this. It hasn’t been easy but we are pushing to see where we can build God’s kind here. I appreciate what you both share always.
I don’t have the desire to have kids yet but also I don’t know how to even financially take care of them let alone my anxious mind. I feel less equipped. I’m praying to God about these things to help me prepare for a family. When the time is right he will give us a kid.
God will provide🙏 Joining a church and being part of community will pretty much take care of the material needs for baby stuff. Someone with a baby who outgrew one size clothing will be happy to share outgrown clothes, outgrown bassinet, etc etc. Theres foundations that even help giving you packs of diapers and wipes. With every baby, I pray to God that He will put that desire on my heart when the time is right. If God gives you a child, He can guide you to taking care of your child and fulfilling needs. God will always be with you every step of the way, my friend. 🙏
Thank you for that @patriciaf3560 I believe He will also. Also wondering what it feels like for Him to put it on our hearts. Can’t wait to hear from Him more on this ❤
Jordan and Milena, thank you so much for this episode. For the past month, I've been having second thoughts about moving to another country based on the wordly aspects you guys mentioned. This episode really helped me renew my mind and shift my perspective to what really matters, which is the kingdom. May God continue blessing you and your family!
I love this!!!! This has been on my heart lately. I’ve been talking to my husband about how we can encourage and develop our children’s social skills because we feel like we didn’t get that as children and have a hard time making friends now as adults. Definitely think that this would help and be part of the mission.
Please pray for my children’s father. I hadn’t come to Christ when I conceived our kids. We are not together and he doesn’t have anything to do with his kids. I don’t want to go into the weeds of it all too much. But please pray that he comes to Christ. I would love nothing more than our family to reunite. Even if we do not I just pray for his salvation of his soul.
Loving this series so far, it is such a refreshing take in relation to all the noise that we hear on a daily. Thank you for sharing these biblical, edifying gems with us. May God continue to bless you guys and use you for His glory ♥️
This couldn’t have e come at a better time. My 9-5 is killing me and I am really considering other options. I’m also someone who always thinks about moving somewhere new, but don’t really have a reason to. I have some things to think about!
Multigenerational thinking is part of what made us turn towards postmillennialism. 😏 love how much your faith is flowing out through all your content. ❤️
@@KenzieRank I believe we are in the reign of Christ now- “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” the mustard seed, starting out as the smallest, grows to give shade and refuge to all in the garden. The stone that knocked down the statue in Daniel turns into the largest mountain. Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings. His kingdom is redeeming the earth little by little through his own means and people, making his kingdom not like the ones of the world. 1 Corinthians 15:25-26 “for he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. PLEASE please I would love some advice or a video about if you’ve found Christ while on a marriage and husband is not on board. We have children and I dream and pray and pray for us to have a Christian household. I know God already has victory over this, it is just a waiting and praying season.
Been there, sister! Read 1 Chorinthians 7:10-16. I held on to that and prayed this verse over my marriage and family. Faith will move mountains! Jordan and milena have a beautiful family and testimony, but so do you! God is doing something in your life and your family and it’s going to be incredible 🤍 it took my husband a couple years to come around to a saving knowledge of Christ. My advice is to give him grace and love him for him. Don’t try to change him, leave that to Jesus. He’s got you covered.
I will be praying for your husband and you and your family. Let me say this...The Bible is very clear that God can lead and speak to and use absolutely anyone. Be a godly wife, be submissive, be honorable and Christ like and you may win your husband. But just know that you can live in peace and harmony every single day until he believes and afterwards. Keep praying for His salvation but be a living epistle and move out of the way so God can work and dont try to do it in your own strength.
@@alicardon1013 thank you so much truely, I really appreciate your reply. Just one more question, do you have any advice on what to do when he wants to lead our family a certain way that is clearly not biblical (I usually keep my mouth closed to avoid conflict and pray over it instead) and when he directly tells me to stop doing ‘xyz’ and do something that is considered a sin but I won’t? That’s how 90% of our conflicts start 😞 he gets frustrated and will say something hurtful… I just don’t want to do something that is a sin just to ‘honour him’ and keep the peace. That’s where I’m so stuck in this waiting season.
@@sensualnina83 thank you so much, your reply means a lot more than you know! I hear you, and that’s so hard! 😔 there’s going to be conflict. He’s going to push back on things because to him, you probably seemingly changed over night. My dad was the first one to get saved and I remember thinking, I lost everything I loved about my dad. I used to travel to get tattooed with my dad, listen to wild music, have a beer with him and talk about the times we got high. So when he changed all of those things, I felt like I had nothing in common with him. So there was absolutely conflict and push back on my part. And all I can say is it took time and a whole lot of patience on my dad and mom’s part to share truth, but still love me while I was going through that spiritual battle. I know that’s not advice, but I just want to encourage you. We’re not perfect and we never will be, but take it day by day. Being patient is soo hard. Try to see things from his side too, and love him through it. Praying for your family 🤍
