Sweet Potato Harvest 2023 - Massive Harvest Despite Significant Pest Damage!

We lost a lot of sweet potatoes to pest this year. It appears that harvesting Beauregard (orange) sweet potatoes earlier in the season is probably best in our area. The purple sweet potatoes actually thrived with a later harvest despite heavy pest damage to the other sweet potato varieties planted. Again, this year we had a very limited number of O' Henry's (white). Lesson learned: Keep sweet potato varieties planted separately. Harvest Beauregards early and purples late. I'm still trying to find the best way to grow white sweet potatoes. Enjoy!

The moles eat the grubs, so you had a two for, but if you didn't have the grubs, you wouldn't have molds, I used mold spikes, it worked for me

You definitely had pest issues, hope you are able to work past it easily. Felt bad you called out guy who backed over your things, I am sure it was an accident not carelessness as he seemed sincere. Will continue to watch you, your property is lovely.
