Nice assembly job Richard! I believe in a short time you will adjust to the 6500 K lights and you won’t want a dimmer. As I age I prefer more light to be able to work under. They also use very little power overall. I came, I liked, then I watched, why watch first, I know I’ll like what I see and learn something too.

As a mobile high-end automotive electronics guy, I did (3) jobs in (3) days in a client’s garage and I found the hexagonal pattern a big distraction. It seems like a cool idea but in daily use I would go for straight LED lighting, especially if you work on black shiny cars. Fabrics absorb and diffuse light, so it’s probably OK for upholstery and sewing work.

Hello Peter, I think most people would build it and attach it directly to the ceiling. Because I have a sloped ceiling, I mounted it to a wood frame first then suspended that from the ceiling. Please keep liking and watching!

Very expensive system, unless you run a TH-cam channel. There are cheaper methods to get similar illumination and coverage. I might add, much cheaper. Being on fixed income, this is just unobtanium.

@@oldschoolautoupholstery according to the all knowing Google, yes you save some power but since LED lights are so efficient the savings is minimal.
