    Hello Dr Novak,
    Great video again.
I use a diy system with 2 2liter bottels and suger/yeast methode. For a diffusor i use a up side down container that has 2% of the square from the watersurface. This way i have a regulated system because there can't be more CO2 taken in the water because of the size of the container has.
    Greatings,
    Henk-Jan

Dr Novak. I've been a fan and follower for a long time. I recall a DIY video years ago you did with a Cascade 300. I did the same drilling and pushing CO2 thru the impeller. I don't use that set up any longer and the Turbo 400 & 600 are the same concept. I've found better saturation from non powered methods over the years. Thank You for all the knowledge you share.

Until I made BCB baskets for my pond, I could never see my goldfish in the summer, because the was so much green algae. Now with the BCB backets I can see to the bottom of my pond year round. Also, you should do an update video on the 90 gallon, and have the fish and plants are doing.

Great info. I just recently set up a 90 gallon with plenum and am currently using a ceramic disk diffuser. I'm going to try the Mr Aqua 600, looks like a much better option. I'm also running a Oase Thermomaster canister, mostly to create flow, heat and extra filtering. I moved 2 aponogeton boivinianus from the 30 gallon tanks they were in to the 90 gallon. They had completely out grown their tanks. Those tanks also have the slow moving plenum set up. I have had great results with plants using the UG filter, slow moving style. The plants love it!

Sera and ISTA CO2 reactors do the same (chopping up the CO2) , but Inline to the output of a cannister, so no electric needed. As no electric is needed, there is a minimum pump power required from the cannister they are attached to though.

Anything that is placed on your output of a canister filter slows the output down tremendously. So I guess it's a Yang and a yang of the trade-off that you want to commit to.

Once again thank you dr.Novak for sharing your research about these different CO2 bubblers, diffusers and what really works. There are so many ways- and products-, but wich one Works the best, I never haard of this turbo co2 mixerpump,Anyway keep on making these video's, greetings,Hans Kuipers from the Netherlands, Europe. What do you think of the Co 2 reactors from Dennerle,JBL and Dupla? These exists a long time.,Like to hear from you.

Hello Dr Novak. Always interesting to see your videos. Years ago I had tank with deep sand bed. Sand would soon clog up and deposit black sludge. In very short time it would go completely anaerobic. That's why I gave up on small sand in aquarium. Now I have three BCB's in my tanks. Two are filled with leca hydroton clay and one with sepiolite. I plan on replacig that with zeolite when I get my hands on some. It will be interesting to see if these BCB's went anaerobic inside. Is there a way to measure oxygen levels inside BCB basket or sand band? Perhaps sticking ORP or O2 level probe inside would give us idea of oxygen concentration?

Thank you for the video. Very imformative. You say that your undergravel plenum in your tanks is quite a few months old. Do you ever need to break down your tank to replace the plenum made from kitty litter?

NO! I have ran them for over a decade without ever having to break them down. BCB for over 30-years without a break down.

Hi Kevin. .. more information for my aquatic brain to digest ! I use a ceramic disc diffuser running off a 2 litre bottle of diy co2 and it's flows upto the inlet of my built in filter and gets sucked in and mixed inside the inbuilt filter of my juwel rio 125. Stem plants grow crazy and I add liquid iron ( 1 ml per 24hrs for 100 litres nett water volume, from a mix of 1 scoop of sequestered Iron mixed into 2 litres of deionised water, so it's mega cheap ) and 1 ml of liquid carbon per 24hrs into same tank from a 5 litre bottle, so that's also cheap as it's 5000 doses ! Vitally no algae but haven't got any reduction of nitrates from average of 50 ppm per week after a weekly 90% water change. I'm now wondering if de chlorinated tap water actually contains the specific bacteria I need to make my system work !? So mixed results with an under gravel plenum system for me.

Hey Dr Novak, how can I get in touch with you? I’m getting ready to build my second bcb basket and plenum set up and would love to send you the pictures. The first one I built is working fantastic!

Dr. Novak, it looks like there is a kind of black stratus at certain depth. Does it mean that the substrate height should be thinner or the air bubbles flow higher?
    Thanks in advance

Hey there Dr Novak. If I put that Mr. Aqua in my sump return chamber, will I then need to point my loc line return straight down into the tank?
Right now i have the return in the tank right at water level to break surface tension 🤷🏼‍♂️
    Thx

which light are you using on your goldfish tank?
