It's listener who is also in deep shit about human trafficking and such. Very deep and dark if I write the whole idea but you have genius! -Cyberpunk?: the world of body enhancements is expensive but do you know what is more expensive? The military grade body enhancements that Listener traffics in, so it's very profitable for the big guys to hire mercenary VA to take care of the trafficking and get all the products and profits. Without knowing that they have a past. -Aliens! Listener is taken by an alien ship where she meets this strange being who wants to study a human being, VA is curious and knows little about decency on a human level and Listener knows how to hit whoever bothers her, VA tries to learn how to defend himself from other more aggressive aliens with the help of listener while asking questions about humanity, now knowing if listener gives you true information or not is for you to decide and have fun with it :) -Merfolk *u* an exiled pirate or sailor is saved by a merfolk who curiously tries to have his own human, he had friends who had their own but they floated, swelled, did not move and rotted very quickly, he finds it interesting one with pink skin and that it breathes and moves, trying to hide it and at the same time keep it alive, the human tries to ensure that the merfolk simply does not kill it until it can flee. Imagine the things that can happen in those situations! You can now decide who could be VA or Listener -Western? A loner rescues a traveler from being assaulted, this traveler is a doctor, with knowledge of both "modern" and native medicine, the doctor heals the loner with his wounds and cooks something other than coffee and beans, then they begin to travel together until they separate. But will they? - Time travel: it is a very big leap but imagine what it would be like for any person today traveling to the Viking era, the Mongols, the Templars, some war culture that appreciates the knowledge that traveler could provide but always look at them with suspicion that he is some kind of a trickster, witch or devil's trap

Reverse isekai: a character from a story written or not written by listener ends up in reality, without knowing how to return to his world. VA must adapt to the world as it is (he could be a medieval knight and hallucinate with "magic"/technology or being from a futuristic world and being entranced by how "rustic" everything is) Netflix may or may not become a listener's worst nightmare Zombie: there are beginning to be zombies everywhere, the world became smaller and bigger at the same time, only those who travel in small groups live, large groups were prone to being rationed, rationality was increasingly scarce, everyone became They have become amoral or don't care how things were before and want their own dominion.
