Real talk. During my stay in VA, I used to get a lot of compliments in terms of style. My style was urban, yet bohemian, with a bit of old-school soul put to it. Infact an elder called me "James Brown". It worked with my personality, always called an old soul. I was the only person tucking my shirt in as well, due to my body build at the time I was able to pull that off well. I rocked two bomber jackets, one a nice black leather and another that was black wool that was very warm in the coldest weather. I liked how that squared off my shoulders. This was all 2018-2021. Man I can talk about style and classy shoes all day lol. Speaking of style, you pull off those collerless shirts very well. I made that comment on the deep thought channel. I look to rock them myself now that I reached 30. I noticed that style with my pops back then. In my opinion, 90s black men had the best style. I'd love to find the wardrobes that Samuel L Jackson wore in the 'Great White Hype' 👌🏾. I often think it was an conspiracy to change the black man's image in modern media, because niggas got no class today, but I digress. Lol this probably my longest comment.
Even when in uniform a man can have a unique style. When I’m in my military uniform I always make sure it’s neat, crisp, and clean down to the boots. Along with smelling good the ladies adore it..
I was wearing a shirt with the mugshot of Saul goodman on it at the grocery store the other day, part of my casual fit, the two girl cashiers started talking me up cause they "love that show"
Sunday Mornings, I love being suited & booted. My suit has all the accessories with a nice Invicta Watch with a tie pin and ring and custom cuff links.. The Barber blesses me every other week. I have custom 👞. With the good smells. I feel like Tony Stark with all his different armored suits. I love dressing up for church on Sunday. I'm clean
Gotta emphasize what Rom said. “Style isn’t only limited to the physical. Unique traits in your personality can be it for you too.” The key is to be unique without hindering yourself and OWN your uniqueness. For me, muscles and clothing (hype sneakers you rarely see in person or a gifted gold necklace I always wear) brings them in. In conversation, they’ll learn I do things my way and value rarity in almost all aspects, listen to obscure music, or my intense attention to detail. Even small things like being left handed or how pour cereal stand out. Salute, Rom ✌🏾
4:27, man, during my senior year of high school (graduate earlier this year), I changed my style. Instead of wearing sneakers, I started wearing Chelsea boots, instead of wearing sweatpants, I started wearing jeans, instead of wearing a sweater with a Tshirt under, I started wearing flannels and buttoned shirts. That's my solidified style, I'd say I found myself clothing-wise, at a young age. Heck, I'd sport shades indoors as well, haha. I'd get compliments every now and then, even for my hair.
Style is self knowledge… the clothing you wear and your personality should be cohesive/complimentary. People (women) will pick up on that subconciously, I believe. Salut Rom!
Rom what are your thoughts on men with long hair? Personally it’s gotten me quite a bit of attention from women. Although I think you need to have good looking facial hair and body game to pull it off really well.
I was fortunate to both realize this and find my style at a young age (high school) and it has grown and evolved with me ever since. I do have to ask though: why would Italian shoes mean you'll be a while to get married?
Question: why do ppl wait for you to say hello all the time, even when you've broke bread w/ each other many times? One of many things you constantly speak on is how women who find you "select" act towards a man. I spoke w/ some married chick @ work the other day, and really wasn't interested in her @ all. She tried really hard to get me to talk (as you said women love to talk). Mind you I'm wearing loose clothing w/ dirt marks on it, I'm @ work. This woman is around 4'5'' 100 lbs so compared to me I'm a giant. Anyways, she worked really hard to get past my stoic demeanor and talk to me. She took the convo from how long you're worked here, to topics of sex and kids and what kind of hobbies I have in my free time. Mind you she's married and just had a baby. If I recall correctly, she said she got her tubes tied, or changed up her birth control and all that, hmm. She had dudes coming up to her all night in the cell (pause) we share @ work, simping for her attention. Here I am unperturbed and indifferent, especially to them. I'm familiar w/ tactical ignoring and the gray rock method, as those are my base responses. I don't like to sound too excited about my life, and I don't give much attention to anyone unless there's imminent danger present where they or both of us can be harmed. The gray rock method is to sound as boring as possible w/o revealing too much of who I am to ppl. You know there's haters using others as a measuring stick for how good they feel about themselves and their lives, and want to find any reason to be mad at you.
