Funny I member renting this, I was sick at home playing it, and as far as I recall I somehow beat it. Just dumb luck I think. Now I question my memory if it was so bad, but damn if I don't think I beat it all these years.
As someone who's never heard of the original channel: 1.) Bummer about the channel cancellation 2.) Good for you for getting back on the horse 3.) You've got some exciting work, and I'm glad to have discovered it!
You should do one about hidden gems. I think one of my faves has to be Snake Rattle n' Roll. I found it entertaining & really enjoyed it. I remember looking at it & thinking .. NAHHH .. but then I tried it. Super fun ! :D

The fact that the game doesn't have a goal is a good reason to remake it. Cause you can give it a goal and you can give it some sense to the adventure.
This was a game I wanted to love. It has a cool name, the artwork was cool, the character wasn’t the greatest but he wasn’t bad. But after a few minutes of this nonsense most people just shut this crap off.
Dude I owned WWF Wrestlemania. The game sucked ass, but for some reason when playing with a group of friends the game was so unbelievably cheese that we had a blast playin it. This game literally eats inputs so the AI has a fighting chance. The reactions from my friends was anything from. " Fuck this Game " to human tornados flipping out. Im surprised my controllers made out alive. So my experience was different.
I knew it was DT, yep, but you know what, the game has its own flavor. Back in the 80's we would play it and it was super hard, still is, but it has a life all its own.
Love your channel Ed but you're way off base with this critique. If you think DT is the worst game for the NES you've clearly never played it with a strategy guide. Actually becomes quite fun once you get the three pieces of armor. But not nany have the attention/fortitude to delve that far into the game. All that said, to say it's the worst of the library is to say you haven't played the entire library. Just one man's opinion. Still love the channel.
I think I can factually prove you wrong about the worst NES game. It is Taboo, the 6th sense. If u have not seen it, it is a tarot card simulator. But all it does is, you type in any random bs nonsense, anythign at all, then it prints back random sentences that were preprogrammed by the authors, That is it. it is not even a game as there is literally no goal, no strategy, and it just prints nonsense sentences on screen. Deadly towers also is I think by far not thwe worst. I rented it back inthe day, as the only game for the night, I had a god time playing it. I did not know how obtuse it was for getting progress, only as a 1 night rental there was fun to be had. I had fun running around and killing stuff and trying to explore. UNlike something like even Dr Jekyl/hyde, just waling right and getitng bombed, that is worse. At least in deadly towers, u can run aruond and shot stuff with the kinda cool range atack sword throw. Not a good game by any means, but it is possible to derive some enjoyment, at least for a rental for 1 evening. I think Taboo is mathematically, objectively worse. Cheetahmen is better than Taboo, ANythign I can thnk of is easily better. I would love to hear your thughts o htis point a smaybe u did not consider taboo. Imagine opening a birthday gift and it is taboo.....zero minutes of fun, but deadly otwers, if u had not heasrd of it and opened it, you are gonna have fun for at least 20 minutes!
Thank you for confirming that. I owned that game and no wonder I could never figure out what I was supposed to do. In the mind of a child, I could have never suspected that anyone would or could just release a poorly made game slap some marketing and slick advertising and a shiny, colorfully decorated box; just to make money during the holiday season. All with the Nintendo Seal of Approval. SHAME!
I remember reading about Deadly Towers in a book about NES games and how to beat them. Deadly Towers sounded really cool, and needless to say I wanted to burn that book.
I had a friend that no one liked but me and he Loves this game back in the late 80’s. He is a computer genius and maybe that’s what it takes to be on that level to understand this game???

8 eyes, cybernoid, action 52, cheetah men terrible nes games. the worst og XBOX game is S.T.A.K.E. Fortune fighters, very broken, unplayable.

Megmax is my most hated crap NES game. Deadly Towers wasn't good but I could find things I liked about it.
