To the vocalist for the demo, I liked the character of your voice and dynamics of your style. Character is everything to me though when it comes to vocals.
Carlos, I can't speak to this specific mic, but I have a 47 I built and I have the V13 and the WA87. My 47 I think resembles the Flea 47 IMHO which is designed to sound like a real one which the WA47 is as well. Anyway they are definitely diff sounding mics. The 47 has a more mid forward sound where the V13 has a big bottom and big top. V13 is airy not harsh. my 47 sounds more pronounced in the 6-8k range than the V13. V13 sounds happy and 47 sounds, not sad but not happy. Kind of like the V13 is a bright sunny day and the 47 is overcast, slightly raining. Both are great and with the WA87 I have everything I need covered. The 87 sounds like the 47 but more neutral. I've used the 87/v13 on acoustic guitar and the 47 on vox. Also the V13 for vox if its a major type song, wa87 for a minor and the 47 is just great on vox always...sorry for the novel, but imho either mic rocks and both are even better. lastly my 47 has a dif capsule an PVC and this is a K47/49 reproduction. still mics sound similar for sure...fwiw
It looks like "no proper sound test because we have chines capacitors in the circuit, and yes you will paid $900 for it, but real 47 will win in 5 sec"
Do you think the Avalon M5 should bring the volume up front using this wa87? cuz I went to Sweetwater and they have a lot of different mics shoutout i don’t know if buying the akg C214 or this one, so my point is using an Avalon M5 should sound present and upfront with this mic the wa87 ? To me the wa87 sounded without presence That’s all I need to know please
Sadly I don't think your choice of vocalist was very well suited to show off the character of the mic, I found it irritating. Try someone with a richer more dynamic voice and show off what the mic can do. Like a Scott Walker or Sade, a warmer fuller voice not so shrill and narrow.
Some of you have a penchant for exaggeration. The demo may not have been reference, but it was hardly appalling, horrible, or some of the other very negative adjective used to describe it. In fact, I got a very real natural sense of presence from it. Maybe you should check your speakers?
Am I the only one who sees Chinese black/gray capacitors in the circuit photo? I know really well really great sounding capacitors look like (Elna, Nichicon, etc.)
Por favor alguien que entienda español y que lo hable que me diga si los comentarios son a favor o encontra, pues estoy apunto de adquirir este micrófono pero todavía tengo alguna duda, hago bien si lo compro? Gracias ojalá alguien me responda
Hi Chuck, thanks for this great review, I bought a Warm Audio WA-47. While testing the microphone I've noticed that there are some annoying mid range frequencies coming from this mic. I've also noticed that if I'm tapping on this mic there's a strong resonance that comes from the mic's body. Does your WA47 act the same? Please watch this short video and hear what I'm talking about. th-cam.com/video/bJTcRyvJmsk/w-d-xo.html
What a horrible sound example. The vocals are distorting, and performance is appalling. Extremely exaggerate HPF. This makes zero justice to this fabulous mic.

Thank you
Comparison with u47 please
RAWK !!! Get a vocalist who’s got a pair . Any 47 has it’s strength in the heft of it’s response across the freq range .
Wondering how it compares with the Vanguard V13 ($749)?
Hi, our pro audio folks would be able to best answer this question, you can reach them at proaudio@soundpure.com

Ufffff this is the different poop club 😭
It is dual diaform mic ?
Just out of curiosity, if you are reviewing a microphone, why not use THAT microphone to describe THAT microphone?
Can I used this mic to my Scarlett Focusrite interface?
i'm currently use it with 6i6 gen2
what is your preamp?
Hello, we used the Phoenix Audio DRS8 mk2 in this audio sample: www.soundpure.com/p/phoenix-audio-drs-8-microphone-preamp/2395
Change the vocalist and then give a proper sound test.
No kidding, that was painful. The vibrato was nauseating as hell.

I mean I don’t have neither ones I’m just trying to buy the right mic for the Avalon M5 please

This is HORRIBLE ! Waste my time
Horrible sound choice
Wow that was horrible lmao
thats it? really?
Horrible EQing! That's what get for playing horrible back ground music the entire video!
terrible talent choice, couldn't focus on tonal characteristics of the mic because of terrible singer.
Bad eqing
Doesn't sound that good tho be honest 🤔
Wasn't a very rounded voice to be honest, shrill and irritating to me. Maybe record a grand piano or upright bass.
@@drampadreg1386 yeah that's true
I was looking forward to hearing the microphone but didn't care for it. My $50 Samson sounds better.
I think its the recording cus let me tell you, it aounds farrrrr better in person than your shure mic
@@LafemmebearMusic eqing is bad
