This is such a great video, watching these bright green beasts is awesome! Not to mention, the carts are just as neat! I really liked the driver’s speed too! I was watching with earbuds and I’ve gotta ask, do you use an external mic or something because it sounds great! Awesome job as always.
MidwestTrashTrucks thanks man, These trucks are always super fun to watch roaming the streets. This is actually my cameras microphone surprisingly. I’m very happy with the quality as well
awesome job, wow, no time wasted whatsoever. what do you think is the optimal truck for these routes? certainly won't be trying to automate anytime soon in city limits (I should think, anyway). it's also very refreshing to see recycling done right, nothing in plastic bags, VERY few contaminants, everything pretty much containerized and kept dry except for the few seconds it might be exposed to rain before the packer is cycled. clearly Seattle didn't just start recycling and people are mostly committed to following the "rules" of it too, just strikes me after seeing what literally all of Colorado is like.
Trashman242 glad you enjoyed this one, this driver certainly does keep up a good pace. When I filmed this it was about 3pm too so it was a full day of this with more to go still. Honestly, rear loaders are the best for recycle in Seattle. As for the contamination, I’m always surprised to see how clean the recycles are in Seattle. Even elsewhere around here recycles are contaminated but Seattle is a different story. Glad you liked this
Great job! Fun to watch recycling collected this way!
TheNVTrashMan thank you!

What's the capacity of the wheelie bins?
Great video! When did Cleanscapes take over? The Cascades seem relatively in good condition
zp12684 thanks! Cleanscapes became a seattle hauler in 2009 I believe. Somewhere between 2008 and 2009
I think that he pulled the shortest straw so he had to work alone
