We wash in Fels-Naptha soap. All the old farmers around here have used it for decades. It dries the rash out the first day and stops the itch. You find the soap in the laundry row at the store.
Thanks for the info. Next time I'm going to the store I will get some just to have on hand for my son who is extremely sensitive to it. Thank you thank you
Wash with it as soon as you come inside after weeding. It's very drying but it will wash the poison ivy oil off your skin. And take Benadryl at night for the itch!
I wish I could say good things about our local FBMP. As soon as they added the Shipping option it literally ruined sales and even the shopping experience. I used to be able to list 10 items and sell 9-10 of them. Now, I can list 10 items and I’m lucky if I sell 2. Plus prices have tanked since there are so many sellers now. When I am looking to buy on FBMP I put in the search ‘Local’ and it still shows me items that are Shipped items or Promoted Items not even related to what I was looking for & also items that aren’t local. I miss the days before the Shipping Option was available. Feel better soon Karen!
My daughter had a terrible case of poison ivy. She tried everything! AA landscaper recommended ZANFEL. It’s expensive ( approx 50.00 for a small tube). I picked it up at Walgreens and in 2 days her poison ivy has dried up and itching has stopped. She said it’s a lifesaver. Good luck!
A few years ago I got poison ivy or oak weeding and ended up needing a steroid to stop the breakouts. I'm sure you know of Fels Naptha soap in the detergent section of the grocery store but unless you use it immediately after contact it won't work. If you use a plastic loofah to shower, make sure to throw out the one you used after you weeded and use a new one. The little holes trap the oil and will spread it more if you use it again.
Thanks for sharing your experience with FBMP local pickup. I arranged with my neighborhood USPS and UPS offices to be able to meet buyers in their store. The employees know me, watch out for me and I feel safer than meeting someone in a parking lot or outside and I'm usually at these locations several times a week anyway!
That “blue tray” you picked up was Rosemaling, Norwegian Folk Art handmade plate. I have one on eBay for $50 with provenance, She was an Olympic winner. They are REALLY hard to find
I’m reminded of our first home a townhome we had built. We focused on the inside and the backyard went wild..a jungle of weeds and poison ivy included. My husband spent days clearing it, but at some point touched it and then took gloves off and used the bathroom without first washing his hands…you can guess where he got poison ivy! I felt so bad for him! He laughs about it now…that happened in 1989!
Awww. I get poison ivy if I look at it. Dawn dish detergent following exposure. Lather , rinse, repeat, several times. Soak your clothes in it too… It’s the only thing I’ve found that will break up the oils. Lots of Benadryl…
I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you get feeling better soon! I appreciate the fact that you go out & support your local businesses & resellers. I think it's so important to one another. Sending you love & healing light ~ ❤️🌈 ❤️
I didn’t go through all the comments to see if somebody already told you but the fish “vase”, seen at the beginning, is actually called a Gurgle Pot. You put water in it , serve it and when you stand the pot back it makes a gurgling sound.
Zanful!! Poor thing! I grew up in Connecticut and can’t count the times I’ve gotten Poison Ivy. The absolute best is Zanful. Nothing else helps me at all. Prayers that you feel better soon❤️❤️❤️
When I was a kid our school made us cover up our poison ivy and poison oak. We had to wear knee socks which stuck to us and we had to soak in the tub each night to get them off. You're on my prayer list. My kids know you as "My Lady".
Yes Carmen Miranda. I was obsessed with her many many years ago I’ve watched a lot of her movies and she was a singer. Sadly she died of a heart attack in her 40s
You poor thing. I hope you feel better quickly. Itching is definitely the worst feeling we could get! I hate everything itchy right down to mosquitoes. Just to comment on your videos, the shoe buy was epic. Good for you! Love that mall you took us to. The Thule carrier is pronounced Too-lee (this from my son-in-law) You are such a good reseller with so many good tips, thanks Karen. ❤️
Thanks so much Karen for the FB marketplace tips & info. I have several large items to costly to ship and have been hesitant to use FB but your guidelines are great! I'm gonna give it a try. Especially on the antique steamer trunk I just picked up, LOL!!
First of all, I do love your channel. I've just known you yesterday. And now I can't stop consuming all your videos. You are now my number 1 Reseller TH-camr. I love the way you talk and you genuinely share informative knowledge in every videos. And of course no course selling lol. I assume that you use FBMP for local pick-up only. I have also done that since 2020. I can 100% sell my used item. I use local pick-up only because I don't know how to ship at that time. But now I know but it's weird since I offer both shipping and local pick up I got 0 views on my items. I have had this problem for a month I don't know what to do. FBMP is my main platform and I love the selling fee.
I was backtracking to play catch-up on watching your video's and I really loved this one today! I really liked how there was a little of this and a little of that it really broke things up and kept my attention. Thank you LC, and especially a big thanks for the information in regard to FB MKT P!
Tecnu extreme poison Ivy and oak scrub…our family has used it for years…gets the Ivy oils off your skin that makes you breakout …shower immediately after working in the yard🥰
Hello Karen, I hope you are feeling better. I use a combination of colloidal silver and tea tree oil for poison ivy. The first helps with the healing and the second helps with the itch.
I just got blasted with poison ivy too. All over my torso, neck, arms, cracks & crevices. Brutal itching, poor sleep, feverish, patches of inflammation. Best move ever- a quickie visit to Urgent Care, signed up online for appoint. Prescribed prednisone with a taper over 9 days. Fastest best recovery ever. I was heading to skin infection and likely cellulitis given an auto immune condition I have. I know prednisone has plenty of side effects but I needed medical help. Hope you get well soon!!!
That tall vase with the date that puzzled you was made in Europe...probably UK. We write the date differently. day/month/year. So it was made on 23 Feb 1922.
This was a great video and not crazy at all, Karen. So sorry you’re not feeling well. You couldn’t even tell, that’s how good you are at what you do. Take care ☺️
So sorry you aren’t feeling well Karen. What a trooper you are to make a video anyway. Glad you chose a relaxing Prussian St trip at least. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for speedy healing!!!💜
I have it too! I am highly allergic and have been successful avoiding contact with it for several years BUT not this year! I feel for you and hope we both get better soon! It's horrible especially in this heat! Take care and God Bless!
I use Original Dawn as soon as I realize I have been in contact with poison.I use it the entire time I have it .It is made to cut grease ( oil ) and does an awesome job.
The problem with poison ivy and poison oak is there are oil droplets and as soon as you start scratching and break those droplets open that’s when you run into trouble the best thing to do is to not touch them at all. I’m so glad our area does not have such plants
Zanfel works great! Husband and son are highly allergic. Also, taking a HOT shower releases the histamine (which makes you itch) and is effective right before bed. Zanfel is the best though...you have to start using it with the initial symptoms. It might be too late by now, I don't know know how long you've had it. If too bad, go to the doc and get a shot of steroids. Injections and oral are the best. So sorry Karen (always take a hot shower after yard work, this helps to get the oil off). RN, Amy
Ugh, poison ivy! I can just smell it and get it, I feel for you. No home remedy, just the steroid pills. I do cut tube socks and wear them around my wrist’s at night to prevent the weeping and scratching all night. ( if I have it on my wrists, which is almost always where I seem to get it).😫
Benedryl clear lotion will stop the itch when applied to skin but make sure you don't injest the oral benedryl ...ONLY USE THE LOTION...it REALLY stops the itch....I am also allergic to PI
Sorry for your poison ivy. It's awful, I know! Last summer I had it very bad and a doctor prescribed prednisone. It worked wonders in 24 hours! (Love your videos!)
Hi Karen, great video. One day I'd like to visit Prussian Street Arcade, it looks very beautiful & inviting. I'd get an iced coffee too! I really enjoyed this video, thank you for being you! Take care & I hope you are feeling well again very soon. Connie
Karen , you may not feel well, but you look great, as usual! I love your red tassel earrings with the blouse you’re wearing. Perfect! So sorry about that awful poison ivy?..I hope you recover from it soon.
First positive healing thoughts your way Ms. K regarding the Poison Ivy...ouch! Totally loved Prussain Street Arcade - so well done and it seems a little bit of everything. Putting it on the list. TY for your tips on FBMP - following your own rules for safety and successful meet-ups are key. Again, thanks for bringing us along.
The swan was by Niloak. I may have been tempted to buy it myself, though I don’t know if they’re going for enough to warrant paying $14 to resell. That is a good price though for a collector.
Oh yes...poison ivy. I had many years ago in my 20s. At that time I ended up with a prescription that put me out of my misery by zonking me out. Only had it on my arms that time and wore tube socks to bed to keep from scratching. Then just last summer at age 63 got it again....worse! Didn't pursue a prescription (although Benadryl is helpful). I piled on calamine, critter itch cream, hydrocortisone cream, everything I had in my medicine cabinet. All over legs and arms. It was so bad some times I just had to scratch it directly. About 4-5 days of misery before finally turning the corner. It took many months for the discoloration from the blisters to fade away. I hope you're not that bad....there would be no way I could film a video with the breakout I had. Hope at this writing you've turned the corner and are doing better.
I could literally roll around in Poison Ivy and/or Poison Oak and it doesn't affect me (my dad was the same). My mother can talk about it and start a rash! I'm sorry Ms. Karen! Mom always seems miserable when she gets it on her. Praying for quick healing.

Ugh!! I am so sorry about the poison ivy. So miserable and it seems to last FOREVER! What has helped for me is to use a sterilized needle to burst the blisters (tedius and time consuming) and clean the fluid with alcohol. I don't know if the bursting is just a distraction or if it actually works, but if you have the time, it's better than scratching. Good luck!❤
I got poison ivy last year and it is horrible. I have a slum landlord who does not cut it down and it grows over my windows so i cant see out. He does nothing. So i mixed up a solution of salt, vinegar and dawn detergent and sprayed the poison ivy but it only killed some of it. I had to go to doctor for a shot it was so bad.
Hi Karen, oh my I’ve only has poison sumac once as a child but I don’t remember what we did for it other than calamine lotion. I hope that you feel much better soon! Cheers Pat
Sooo sorry you have poison ivy! I have a son and grandson who are highly allergic! I think we have tried everything! They do the oatmeal bath and mixup water and baking soda paste for itching. We try anything and everything! Get better soon!!
Karen, I hope you are feeling better...you kinda remind me of the Broadway shows..."The show must go on..." You really did show up and did NOT disappoint... I enjoyed your video, you gave a wealth of information, especially about safe tips for the market place. Hurry up and get back to 100%.😊

Linda, how do you do this? You call UPS and … can you explain a bit more?
That is a great idea.
I think it’s great that you share the prices with the viewers. I love how educational your videos are.
That “blue tray” you picked up was Rosemaling, Norwegian Folk Art handmade plate. I have one on eBay for $50 with provenance, She was an Olympic winner. They are REALLY hard to find
Feel better! The tall black and white Blendo glasses are called Tom Collins glasses.
I remember you buying that orb chandelier at the flea market you go to, it was in a building!
Prayers lifted up for you.

Saying my prayers for a speedy recovery Karen. I know it’s a pain in the you know what. 🙏🏻😊❤️

1922 is spot on for it . Very art nouveau
My daughter was a huge back country canoeist. She uses calamine lotion and oat baths to calm the rash.

Realy liked your explanation of Facebook Marketplace and how you do it. Your way is such a smart way not to mention a safe way. Thanks for the info!!!

Carmen Miranda was a terrific singer and a great charismatic dancer from Brazil.
The white fish vase is a gluggle jug. It makes a gluggle sound when you pour liquid out of it.
Thank you for the great video and your positive attitude.
Thanks so much Karen for the FB marketplace tips & info. I have several large items to costly to ship and have been hesitant to use FB but your guidelines are great! I'm gonna give it a try. Especially on the antique steamer trunk I just picked up, LOL!!
Water as hot as you can stand it over the areas with rash. Helps with the itch. Love your videos. Feel better soon!
Dawn detergent removes the volatile oils of poison ivy/oak. Continue to wash/shower with Dawn on a daily basis until the blisters/rash dries.

Terrific video! Love the information you gave on marketplace.
Booth at Minute Mark 20:00, The tin centerpiece in the booth is a 15 cube layer hen nesting box. Very nice, for keeping a 40-50 hen flock of layers.

OMG Karen...That puppy is soooo ADORABLE!! He looks so life like. That shop is so neat, clean and love the music they're playing. GREAT video!!

That Texas pottery piece you left behind is a favorite type! I loved it.
Get well soon girl !
A little late, but good ole Calamine, always worked for poison Ivy when I was a kid-beside the pinkish white chalky look it gives you:)
Awwwwwww, Hoping you feeel better soon!!!

Sending you positive thoughts and hugs! Hope you have a speedy recovery, Karen ❤️
The vent holes are meant to be-for exactly as you wondered. Vent holes.
Feel better.❤
Hey Karen, I went by the new Goodwill and they have items on racks. They might be open by next week.
Allegra works great for poison Ivey. Just one a day and the bumps and blisters will not even develop. Great video!

that vintage flowy dress you looked at would be beautiful to wear next time you're at Anna Marie Island on vacay!!

Karen, I'm curious why you don't have an antique booth? I would think that would be a great way to move inventory you don't want to ship.
Yikes! Feel better soon! Nice video!
Feel better sending good vibes and healing prayers
Hope you feel better soon, Karen. Out here in CA we have poison oak or sumac. That ceramic dog in your shopping cart looked like a real pup:)
I could literally roll around in Poison Ivy and/or Poison Oak and it doesn't affect me (my dad was the same). My mother can talk about it and start a rash! I'm sorry Ms. Karen! Mom always seems miserable when she gets it on her. Praying for quick healing.
You are lucky to be resistant. I'm like your Mom and just walk by it and catch it.
What great information, especially for FB Marketplace sales. I am so sorry for your poison ivy. It is so uncomfortable!🤕
I hope you feel better soon Karen!
Yes the Fels -Naptha works !
hi Karen. Not sure if anyone already mentioned it, but tannic acid is wonderful. My daughter is like you, and when she gets poison ivy, it is a nightmare. Be well.
🤗Hi, I am new here and I just subscribed....I love how show what you get and how and where...😘You are fresh and kind....😍👍👍👌👏👏👏Thank you for all the work you do.💕❣💯
Calamine lotion mixed with tea tree oil is my go to.
If you have never gotten the steroid pills just to let you know, the relief is almost hours away! Don’t suffer!!!😅
yes Fels Naptha works!
Wish you a quick recover and warm regards from Belarus!
Nice going on the shoe buy. Might be long tail but will sell well. Bummer on the poison ivy
Get well soon Karen. 🤗
I like this mall, everything looks so well organized and beautiful. I always think it’s funny that you can look at a shelf and miss something completely. That is why I always do a second round in a triftshop the other way round to see what I have missed. I am a small reseller in the Netherlands. Unfortunately the triftshops here are nothing like you have there. Very small and lately not much stuff at all. Incan go to eight of them and come home with 5 things. 🤣 Oh well, it is what it is and I still enjoy the shopping.
And by ‘you’ I mean everybody and not you personally ofcourse. 😉 English is not my main language, so forgive me my mistakes. 🙂
That shoe purchase seemed like a great decision. Hope that is a bonanza for you.
Oh rubbing alcohol will dry it out. One of my common sense ideas to use to get rid of poison
Hope you are feeling better!
In Minnesota we use calamine lotion it calms it down and dries it out
Hi Karen, oh my I’ve only has poison sumac once as a child but I don’t remember what we did for it other than calamine lotion. I hope that you feel much better soon! Cheers Pat
Loved it😊
Sooo sorry you have poison ivy!
