This week the city of Brooklyn Park approved a sister city relationship to begin with Garowe, Somalia. The city also examined the process for establishing and maintaining a sister city relationship.

As a grown man born and raised in MPLS , I never heard of Somali people even living in Brooklyn park. It’s mostly African Americans or west Africans. Somalis tend to stay in almost every suburb of MPLS except Brooklyn park lol.
