Your argument is pretty invalid because a lot of the features you listed have been available in lots of other cars not just Mercedes. For example on my 2007 Nissan pathfinder if you held the unlock button the windows rolled down and a back up camera is nothing new, you have been able to get it on a Camry for a while. If you want a "true Mercedes" get a used e class or slk also not to mention the cla isn't even a Mercedes engine. And also why is the camera taking to long to go away make it a "true Mercedes", why would you want to see whats behind you as you pull away?

Also it can park itself, the 4 difference driving mode. The ride is more comfortable than your car. Now you can also unlock the car and start the car with your smartphone. Also roll down the window with phone.
A Golf (7} drives better, has more space, is cheaper and is possible to opt it with luxury options which you can all get on a A class/CLA, that's why its not a proper Mercedes. And FWD with that rubbish Dct box ruins the proper comfort of a Merc

As a present owner of a 2014 W204 C250, I test drove the CLA and to me, it is not as refined as the C Class. And when I added the extra optional equipment packages, the price of the CLA would be equivalent to the C Class. So why not go upscale? So I bought a new 2018 W205 C300 instead. I am much happier going upscale in getting a real Mercedes-Benz.😀

Solid closing sounds - okay, I'll agree here but to be fair, all my other cars were coupes so the doors were heavier thus takes more force to close. Keyless entry - I'm disappointed my CLA didn't come equipped with this as most modern cars have this. Also, other car makes like I've seen like Lexus responds that quick too. Windows rolling up and down from outside the car - my CLA CAN'T do this!! All other cars I've seen from Hondas to Toyotas to my 95 BMW can do this but my Mercedes can't! Design - no argument here, the looks is why I bought this car Backup camera - I do enjoy having the backup camera but mine doesn't have all those extra views like the ones you showed. Also, there are better backup and parking tech out there from other makes like full 360 camera view surrounding the car. Comfort and sport - this I have mixed feelings about. In comfort mode, the ride feels pretty rough. By saying "the Mercedes drives you" I do agree on, in a sense I don't feel connected with the car. Turning radius - I'm used to driving compact cars so this is what I'd expect from the CLA These are my views on my Mercedes CLA. Mine is a 2014 with premium, multimedia and sport package

I have a CLA 220d AMG line and it suits my small family needs perfectly. I don't need an E or S class. I'd rather have the extra money in the bank or spend it on something else.

I've owned a MY2014 CLA up until now. No issues at all, in these seven years I've only done regural maintenance and changed a multiplier (€90).

I had it for 2 weeks as a rental , terrible car , if you can buy a low mile e class , it's the best for the money...
