I was lucky to find Phish, the week of my first show (5/3/94) Pink Floyd played my college stadium (Vandy 5/8/94). Who gets a Harpua at their first show? Me apparently! I saw 2 shows from 10/94 and this was pretty much peak Trey shred era. Overall as a band I like the way they are now and a lot of my favorite Phish songs didn't exist yet at these old skool shows. Don't get to see but one weekend a year nowadays due to kids and family responsibilities, but I had some of the best times of my life and made some of my best friends in life thru the whole Phish experience. 194 shows and counting! Made it to 4 halloween runs, 10 consecutive new years runs and every festie since Big Cypress. Phish were the luckiest musical find of my life. Welcome to the party L33~
You have been making my Saturdays more fun. You have to check out Fluffhead, Maze, Bathtub Gin, Mike's Song> I am Hydrogen > Weekapaug Groove. They did a show with Les Claypool on 12/6/1996 that you must to listen to in its entirety.
watching you get more and more into and out of Phish is really excellent. Every time I watch, I get excited for you. You asked today where has this been all your life - you are doing it at the right time for you, and think about how much you might have missed if these guys grabbed your attention too early! It is hard, once you are into them, to not listen to them a LOT. I think a lot of us are chomping at the it to just explain so many areas of nuance and cool shit about Phish to you - like that they come on stage with no setlist planned. That Halloween, they typically do a and costume and cover an album. That they have a song called the Vibrations of Life. That they have a secret language that was prevalent in the mid 90's. About Gamehenge. Glowstick wars, secret sets, it just keeps going. There is so much to unpack and enjoy. I love the ride you are on and I love that we get to go with you. Can't wait to see your reaction to video when you get there and then to see how you feel when you go see them live. And a lot of the time, after I finish here, later in the day I hear a song that I can't wait for you to get to. Some of the dark and nasty stuff, some of the fast and fun stuff. I hope you end up digesting Hampton Comes Alive like you re the 94 stuff. And then on to more songs to enjoy - from Run Like an Antelope to Punch You In the Eye to Carini to Free and on to the newer songs that just slap! I Cannot even figure out how to put eniough of them in front of you - there are so many incredible things to taste in this magnificent candy shop. Keep both hands inside the vehicle and enjoy the ride.
Hey - Phish had a annual halloween tradition of 'dressing up' as another band and performing an entire album for the show. You probably saw that the '94 show has the Beatles White Album embedded in the show. If you go through the Halloween shows, you'll see Phish dress up as Talking Heads, the Who and even, in 2018, as a Swedish pop-band they invented and wrote a whole album of songs for. The band and album they made up was Kasvot Vaxt:i rokk (this translates to "face plant into rock" in Swedish).
This is the greatest Reba they’ve ever played and it’s a scientific fact. Check out the divided sky from this show as well for an equally incredible version
Man I wish this was one that you had done the video to. Just a random person in the audience that captured the whole show. Treys swaying at the peak is engraved into my brain, you can tell he was in a different place. Either way, you’re hitting all the top top stuff. Keep it going, best phish reactor on TH-cam!
Yeah, I know, it's hard to believe how great they are. I was lucky to be a UVM freshman in 1987. Let me suggest music from spring 92, such as the Weekapaug Groove from 3/20 Binghampton NY. It might be their GOAT show. It's unreal. It includes Brother and Sanity. That might not mean much to you, but they're rare songs that would only be played in the same show if the boys were in a supremely great mood.
You will be blown away when you watch a live video, etc. check out their official DVD releases Bittersweet Motel and the IT festival documentaries.. you will love it and get in close with the band and personalities and phans!!! You are already sucked in and understand how special this band is!!!!
Next song from this show should obviously be the 3rd set closing Run Like An Antelope, you will enjoy yourself 😁 Since it's only 11+ mins, may I suggest you also react to the While My Guitar Gently Weeps (6 mins) from the 2nd set when they covered the entire Beatles White Album, and started a tradition of covering another band's album as their Halloween costume 🎃
I would love a Phish video every day, but there’s a lot to be said for tension and release . Very satisfying. Lol.😂 i’m gonna keep suggesting Bathtub Gin until you play it.❤
You probably dont know this but Trey has his own Band call Trey Anastasio Band (TAB) that has additional percussion and horns. I think you woukd really like some of their stuff too. Push on til the day is a banger and Night Speaks to a Woman... To many songs to mention.
Hey.. I love you. Stayed to the end for the first time but, your honesty kept me there. Love and light my friend. The change in 97 was driven by their 96 Halloween costume. Talking heads changed their approach to everything. Anywho.. you’re a good soul and we’re all family

Love your videos !!!! Just based on the videos I've seen you do I kinda feel like you should watch the Prague Ghost from july 1998. Many fans feel like 1994 or 1997 was peak Phish but each year kinda has its own vibe. Greatest concert that I have, or ever will, take in. Not to be topped.
Were you there??
@@L33Reacts Yeah. I was there, and it was the best concert I would ever see.
It later came out as Live Phish volume 13, which I'm guessing will become one of your favorites, particularly if you enjoy the beatles.

Weekapaug groove - Philly spectrum 97 next it’s on their TH-cam channel audio and Spotify
Not without Mikes and hydrogen at the same time
@@disguyhere972 it’s not hydrogen on this album. Goes mikes->simple->dog faced boy->ya mar->weekapaug lol. Too many songs prob for a reaction
@@disguyhere972 no hydrogen on this album
@@disguyhere972Gotta say the Mike’s>With>Weekapaug this past summer was awesome. Not suggesting Lee listen to it because there are so many other, better Mike’s Grooves from the ‘90s, just admiring that particular surprise sandwich filling. Which reminds me, we eventually have to pick out a stellar Curtain With for him. It’s one of the Phishiest songs to ever Phish.
@@randomperson-dy6kj 2024 was one of my favorite tours
Divided Sky from this show is another all timer. Simple from 10/31/96 and Sneakin Sally from 10/31/98 are two other great Halloween jams from this era as well
dude watching you get it is such a joy, because we've ALL been there, and wish we could experience it again for the first time. good thing is, phish still deliver every night.
Is there another band that has found the “GROOVE” as much as Phish over the decades(1980s-2020s)!?!?! They are just so amazing….
YES THIS IS THE ONE!! my fav thing phish have ever done. Pure musical bliss and perfection
Such a CLEAN sound for a live recording!!! Thx to the Phenomenal Paul Languadoc
(Also made custom 🎸4Trey, & bass 4Mike + Soundman)
You mentioned the word breathe at the end and how they opened it up and let it breathe. I always say Phish jamming is like Breathing. It is the best word to describe what it feels like to me. 👊
Good choice! What's next?
I recommend listening to a full show or two to get a sense of the flow of their shows...not even as a reaction video necessarily (although I would be here for that if you did).
Dude I wish could react to a whole set. It would take up the whole morning but I’m here for it lol
@@L33Reacts Like I said...even if it's not a reaction...do it on your own time on a drive or something. Either way...Very much enjoying seeing you go down this rabbit hole. Still so so far to go! Enjoy bud!
I recommend the 6/14/95 Memphis Tweezer, which I attended. Warning-- it's 52 minutes long. 🙂 Other versions to try include Dayton Nutter Center 11/30/95 and 12/7/97 Detroit.
L33.. so glad you got turned on to Phish! Your journey has just begun. You need to go to a live show and experience the community and music. I have seen over 150 shows and it is always awesome! Thanks for your great videos and support of music. I get to relive some of it just listening to the music with you. Go to a live phish show!!!
I’m gonna try my best brother! I want to go so bad haha. I know it’s gonna be amazing 🤩 thank you for the kind words. I can’t wait to see what else they got in store for me..
@@L33Reacts Keep up your great videos!!!
And you are in tune with it.... The pockets that all the band members get into are just that! You recognize when it was more of a trey lead or mike or Page.. fishman is always the pocket. Knowing their history a bit over the years, big influences from Zappa, king Crimson, grateful dead, David Bowie, yes, etc. they know the good stuff!
Wow, just discovered your channel, very cool! Discovering Phish is a little like discovering a new planet -- so much to explore! And I love your format where you comment as the music plays, rather than pausing the song while you comment -- so much smoother! I'm subscribing...
If you're looking for something Halloween, the 1998 Vegas "Run Like An Antelope" is an overlooked gem. Okay, it's the show before Halloween, but it's a fantastic Antelope!
Not jimmy Hendrix but did play the entire beatles White album at this show
Dude , I love your Phish vids.
You NEED to listen to the Amsterdam Stash. The single greatest Phish jam of all-time.
7/2/97.
Someone else mentioned that you need to listen to a different version of a song you’ve already listened to and this is it.
Other vote is 10/31/98 Wolfman’s brother.
Dude absolutely love your phish reaction videos…you’re probably my favorite and I’ve seen many many. Can totally see that you get phish and you have so much left to discover. They are a life journey and am glad to see you on your way. YOU HAVE GOT TO SEE THEM LIVE WHILE YOU CAN!!….can’t wait for the next one!!
Dude I appreciate that so much! Thank you! I immediately clicked with them the second I heard chalkdust… and I haven’t looked back since (like two months ago at the most lol) they are spectacular. I don’t know how I’ve been missing this my entire life.
@@L33Reactsso awesome…I’ve seen them like 100 times since the late 90’s….and it never gets old ! 😊totally check out the album “ slip stitch and pass”….that was my first introduction to this band….a live concert will change your life…pure bliss and joy
Notice naked Fishman on the cover with His vac. That happened during the show. Number 9 Number 9 !!!
watching you get more and more into and out of Phish is really excellent.
Fishman actually got UN dressed up for that ‘94 Halloween 😂
Yeah, happy to be alive hits it on the head when talking about how phish makes you feel.
This is the greatest Reba they’ve ever played and it’s a scientific fact. Check out the divided sky from this show as well for an equally incredible version
LFG!
Come to the shows next weekend in Albany. 🎉🎉🎉
On the road and catching up on what I've missed. Wow! This was not to be missed! Wild and fun. Thank you.
Have you done Fluffhead yet? Another amazing Zappa-esq old school phish song
This is the show where they did the Beatles white album. The first of many haloween albums they did.
Phish saves lives. ✌️🤘❤
They really do…. It’s almost a religious experience at points
You will be blown away when you watch a live video, etc. check out their official DVD releases Bittersweet Motel and the IT festival documentaries.. you will love it and get in close with the band and personalities and phans!!! You are already sucked in and understand how special this band is!!!!
I can't wait for next Saturday! These guys bring the best out of you!
It’s definitely worth checking out the studio version of this one. The outro/Trey solo section before the Whistling is pure bliss.
My fav Reba of all time is the Clifford ball
Next song from this show should obviously be the 3rd set closing Run Like An Antelope, you will enjoy yourself 😁
Since it's only 11+ mins, may I suggest you also react to the While My Guitar Gently Weeps (6 mins) from the 2nd set when they covered the entire Beatles White Album, and started a tradition of covering another band's album as their Halloween costume 🎃
THIS WAS SO DAMN COOL 😎 This is why i subscribe to you. Never heard of this band but here I am, downloading their entire catalog. Thank you Lee ❤
Divided sky is a beautiful song you’d enjoy. The Lizards is a fun one too. Maybe the one from this last New Year’s Eve.
I would love a Phish video every day, but there’s a lot to be said for tension and release . Very satisfying. Lol.😂 i’m gonna keep suggesting Bathtub Gin until you play it.❤
This is in my top 2 phish shows attended, this & NYE 1995
You probably dont know this but Trey has his own Band call Trey Anastasio Band (TAB) that has additional percussion and horns. I think you woukd really like some of their stuff too. Push on til the day is a banger and Night Speaks to a Woman... To many songs to mention.
Surrender to the flow my phriend! Love watching you love Phish 🤘
you're the only reactor i agree with regarding Phish's power.
Oh yeah, let’s go!❤❤❤
Hey.. I love you. Stayed to the end for the first time but, your honesty kept me there. Love and light my friend. The change in 97 was driven by their 96 Halloween costume. Talking heads changed their approach to everything. Anywho.. you’re a good soul and we’re all family
absolutley love your reactions and takes. this was an insane pick. havent heard this for a long time. keep being you bruv
In honor of Halloween you should do a full set 2 from 95 96 or 97 halloween. Talking heads, the who, or velvet undergroud. Take your pick.
One of us! One of us!
Google, gobble!
Love these man… keep going
Dude. I was there. Thanks for really listening😊 and the Bruford ref was boss. Try Tribal Tech…………
Bro whaaaaat that’s awesome! I had to drop the bruford reference! It sounded just like that album. I love it. These guys are wizards bro. I can’t get enough of
This show is my favorite, second set "White album - The Beatles - " included. And there is some footage! The devided sky and While my guitar gently weeps both phishing from the paradisiac pond of the innefable land of music
And that’s why we go to shows. Escape
keep the phish reviews coming! channel growing! cool to see ;) love your takes as a "newer" phan with a musical background
Started seeing them in 1994 on the east coast... And spent many years selling tshirts and going on Phish tour still to this day. Best band ever.. glad you got exposed!!!!
"WTF bro?!" 😂 yep that pretty much sums it up. Been a joy watching you on your Phish journey!
You get IT, ma dude.
Love your videos !!!! Just based on the videos I've seen you do I kinda feel like you should watch the Prague Ghost from july 1998. Many fans feel like 1994 or 1997 was peak Phish but each year kinda has its own vibe. I personally feel like Trey creative touch was peak 1994 but the overall audio and just sonically for Trey and the band was more 1997 and peaking in 1998. 1999 is my favorite year and I feel like 1993 is the tightest year. Having said all of that if you want to see Trey peaking on guitar I'd watch the Prague Ghost video , but only do this video if your going to watch it because Treys stage presence comes thru strong in the video. Also Bathtub Gin from 97, 98,99 should be a must watch . Thanks for your videos and welcome to phish, there is soo much phish so take it slow lol
best reba ever
listened to this one night while tripping face. That's when it all made sense. That Jesus Christ blotter in 97 was something else. ;)
Little late to the weekly Phish Phry, but always a hoot! You need a fluff or Hood next!
Welcome to ,”Reba!”
Yay. One of the best. So Zappa. So Phish Go check out the lyrics. This song is why Phish fans love Phish and Phish haters hate Phish. This song will make or break a fan for sure. ❤️🌈🤪
I could see this one being the heads or tails for some folks for sure. But luckily for me, I didn’t care which side it landed on. I’m just happy to be here enjoying this wonderful band 🤩👍
Been loving your Phish reactions. I'm gonna ask for something totally out of left field... you oughtta check out Julien Baker. Big fan of Go Home/Hurt Less Pitchfork live version. Or Something, or Distant Solar Systems... all her songs are great, but those are favorites.
Song w/ Jam is good. Have to warm up, get you ready for those 2nd sets where it’s song>jam>song>jam>song>jam oh wait, they never stopped playing the whole set? What just happened?
