  • Lama Tsongkhapa has written voluminous, tremendous amount of work and it is still existing today. And the reason why so many people have faith in Lama Tsongkhapa is not because the Tibetans say that he is the Buddha, it is because of his works, his writings, his teachings and the results people have by practicing his teachings. Then they have faith in Tsongkhapa.

Very logical explanation on the existence of mind before we take rebirth in this present life.By the same logic, our mind will continue into our next life. This really helps in understanding of past and future lives.

    Such a great talk.
Everything is so true. The mother of all ills is literally ignorance - backed by no desire to understand or change oneself.
I think the worst is the way that people suffer needlessly for no reason, even for something that don't believe in or understand. That is why Buddhism is so perfect - roots, causation and results are explained so perfectly; and everything makes sense - and it is so, so very logical. YOU as a person are required to change inherently, to take responsibility and make your peace with it [instead of blaming anyone else or whatever else]
Its true; whenever I hear Rinpoche talk; everything just easily hits my brain. Not a single sentence is ever random - you can see how much effort he puts in in trying to make the listener understand why THEY should try to learn and try to change for the better.
Really glad the blog exists :) its super amazing :D

Neat teaching on the mind. It's amazing how much Buddhism has such intimate knowledge of the mind and Tsem Rinpoche explains it in such a clear and concise manner.

Thankyou for posting this teaching up, illustrating how the mind is independant of our body, how it exists at conception and prior to that. It is true, successs comes in many ways, but that measure of success - does it really make you happy, and at peace with yourself ?

I accept that what you say. It feels good. How do I possibly deal or how should the world then deal with those brains that are completely out of control? How do we deal with psychopaths and murderers? This is the inner conflict that I experience on a daily basis.

there is no doubt that everything we do everything we say has cause and effect on everythng else that is said and done , this teaching for me is simple , the sanskrit word karma is directly translated to cause and effect is a wise study for all scientists or those who think about everything , imagine you took time to know every leaf that ever grew fell to the ground and every leaf that will grow in the future and what purpose this was about

He mentions the reincarnation idea and the 'god theory'. The way I see it, these two ideas are both one and the same. To be general: Buddhism is a much more developed tradition, I think, where they were able to produce explanation for what buddhism focuses on, while the bible was written in a symbolic, archetypal way, yet still representing the same thing as buddhism. It is like two different science textbooks, explaining something in very different ways; they are different, and one may appear to be more true, but both the textbooks are describing something that is in the natural world, therefore both textbooks hold truth.
I see truth in all the religious and spiritual traditions that I study, such as christianity, islam, judaism, buddhism, hinduism, shamanism, and various mythologies: they are all holding truth and are all made up of truth; they simply have different ways of portraying the natural world.

He really knows Buddhism but does not understand Christianity. Devotion to deity - and through Jesus Christ is not 'giving up responsibility' at all. It is embracing empowerment through what Buddhists call 'guru devotion'. Jesus Christ being the guru - helps disciples....the principle of connection and assistance is the same, but the guru is a deity who is not incarnate 'the same way' that some of the other religions...I won't go further due to complications surrounding real vs. false gods.
