about the defamation: simple insults are not defamation. and you can of course say things that hurt someones reputation.
defamation is when you tell lies about someone to harm their reputation and possibly get them in trouble.
so 1. it has to be untrue
2. in most juristictions, you have to KNOW that it is untrue while you say it, otherwise it is not defamation
3. it has to be something that isnt just an obvious insult but is believable enough to actually damage the reputation.
so all the examples they give afterwards (aswell as the defecation thing) are actually just childish insults. but as they are clearly identifiable as insults and do not even try to appear like actual factual statments, they are not defamation.
the reason is pretty simple. insults dont hurt anything more than your feelings. defamation (when people actually believe lies about you) can severely harm your business, your life and so on.

People don't like how the layers of irony, sarcasm and memes Pewdiepie, Roomie and boyinaband mashed up to create this hilarious song and it all just got thrown out the window because he's looking at a "music producer's perspective", which feels really invalid and I can respect that it's his opinion; it's a catchy song that contrasts the rather harsh (some even true) statements that they just sprinkled in, yet this guy calls out cheese every 5 seconds of the vid to pass that 10 minute mark + advertising his own stuff the entire time while reacting. Overall, he a hypocrite, calls out cheese on the video while also being cheesy about what he does and the alternate reality video he posted to get back at everybody who didn't like his opinion because he simply didn't clarify that it's his look on it then labels it as a music producer's perspective
