Alright, I’ll explain this one more time. This song was scrapped for 2 reasons: BTS complications and bloat. The BTS issues involved Avery, who wrote all of the story for this song, and was the co-owner of starved and owner of furnace. Recently, Avery left the team and requested his works be removed from the team, so we did such. Since Avery didn’t have as much involvement in the first song (as Dumbie owned the character and directed it further for that song) we decided to keep it, but remove Prey. This was also a good opportunity to remove character bloat from our mod, as we had too many characters and too many songs overall, and it was the best choice to make. Starved is still in the mod, but is NOT being used in prey. Thanks for reading, and for the love of god: Stop using this as an opportunity to shit on the exe team for simply existing have a good day!

For those who dont know. Starved is a version of the Evil Doctor we all know, he took a fondness from getting a taste from a burnt flickie while clearing up Scrap Brain Zone. After that, Eggman kept eating more and more animals. And due to his diet, his skin became red, and all of his facial hair missing. And became what we call now "Starved" Furnace is basically a Mecha Sonic prototype which eggman made to, well. Cook larger animals. Starved is not a cannibal. Starved never eats animals raw.
I think within the story it happened a long while ago, some time afterward Sonic 1, which is why Sonic seems to have gotten used to the weird scary look.
He probably doesn't know WHAT a human should REALLY look like(if we're using the two worlds/earth and Mobius aka sonics world are separate)he probably thinks it's just head fur.
I LOVE how at 3:57, we can see Furnace flying under Sonic and Starved so he can unexpectedly capture/kill Sonic at the end. I don’t see many people notice or comment about this, it’s such a nice addition and I missed it my first time watching.
Minor nitpick here though - from what I got from the original lore - Furnace apparently outclassed Sonic in everything BUT speed. The only reason he actually ended up killing Sonic is because he went all the way to the end of the course to place spikes on a wall, which Sonic didn't see and he died on impact. The mod makes it seem like Furnace was faster than Sonic, which is weird since he should have just ended up catching Sonic much earlier.

I think that not paying attention to a giant wall with spikes is a much more lame way to go out than dying because the villain did an unsuspecting move. The reason why Furnace didn't catch Sonic earlier was because he wanted to seem like Sonic won by falling back. When Starved came in to keep Sonic's attention on him, Furnace flew underneath the bridge, and passed by both of them to get ahead. Once Starved fell back and Sonic still kept paying attention to him, Furnace took the first chance he got to swoop in for the kill on Sonic. I think it's more that Furnace and Starved pulled a smarter move to get the jump on Sonic is a much better way to show how big of a threat both of them are than a random wall made of spikes that Sally.exe already did with Cream
Whoever did the voice of Sonic in this song deserves respect, it litearlly sounds exactly like Sonic's voice from Sonic CD. Which makes sense considering that this takes place in Stardust Speedway Bad Future/Past. Even if there are few scrapped good songs, I can Already see that This mod will be HYPE when V3.0 releases. Take your time guys. Edit: This didn't aged well isn't it?
One of my favorite parts about this is that the cutscene in between the character switch has a Hedgehog Stew motif. Not sure if that was intentional but if it is that makes this even more of a shame that this ended up scrapped
With how well that name fits with the context, probably very intentional Also a shame this had to be scrapped, wish alot of the scrapped stuff could be left in some kinda Directors Cut for the people that might still want to play em.
It's a shame this song was scrapped. At least Starved will still be in the mod. I do hope we'll get another song featuring the real Sonic, cause it is refreshing to see him after facing multiple demons taking on his form.
Imma be honest, for someone who just watched Amy get roasted to death inside Furnace (the robot) and challenged it out of blind rage, Sonic seems way too chill in both voice appearance and lines.
I really hope Furnace sonic still shows up at some point in the song. The idea of a version of metal sonic being Gigantic and a literal furnace that goes around cooking flickies and eventually even cooking Amy is really dark and cool.
I mean... The song is a FREAKING BANGER. Really conveys that feeling of trying to escape someone, and the complete change of Eggman, having a deep voice and not caring about playing with Sonic anymore Sad that it got scrapped, but like, it's right here for anyone to listen. Just enjoy it
i was like "aww this was scrapped?" then was sad for a moment, then realized i don't actually play fnf and this doesn't affect me at all, and the only thing that matters to me personally is the song being on the internet or not 😁

Great song, and for my first experience with any of these characters, I'll say that Furnace (is that his name?) is a really interesting concept, being a visual combination of Metal and Mecha Sonic that operates with a literal furnace instead of some jet engine or thruster. I'm also noticing some retractable claws with some of his animations? I also found it kinda ironic that Sonic, known for racing a mechanical doppelganger through a highway in a dystopian future, forgot that said highway is a giant circle. . . . Yes, moments after posting this, I watched it back again and realised that Frunace actually snuck ahead of Sonic underneath the highway, you don't need to tell me, please save yourself the effort.
honestly this is just an really good execution, Sonic is genuinely in-character, as his cockiness led him to his fate, altho he seems to have more of the Modern personality, and Starved actually kinda fits as he seems more like an Bad TimeLine character as he isn't an demon possessing an game, but instead an insane Robotnik after he went thru an incident
Worst part about starved and his story is that we literally have nothing to worry about. The fact that he isn't a cannibal and treats humans very kindly, just makes it so that we can only worry for something else other than ourselves.
For those of you who don't know the lore of starved and are confused about Starved Eggman's line he said to Sonic Starved Eggman is prominently born around the Sonic CD game where there were six stones called the time stones that when collected allowed you to travel through time, due to that S Eggman can basically eat Sonic and everyone else then go back in time and do it again and again. His line was implying that this isn't the first time this happened. EDITTED TO ADD BIGGER SUMMARY. Starved Eggman is a version of Eggman that comes to be after the events of Sonic 1. While rebuilding his destroyed base he happened upon the charred corpse of a flicky(The blue little birds in sonic) and curiosity got the better of him as he smelled the flicky so he picked it up and took a bite. Afterwards something clicked in his mind. He grew a taste for the flesh of Mobians(Sonic characters basically) and animals and started to remake his robots with the purpose of catching and cooking the animals so he could eat them faster. He would then go on to create FURNACE (This world's version of Metal Sonic and the one in the video) With the goal of capturing Mobians(The animals that can walk and talk like Sonic, Tails, etc) Rules of Starved He only eats cooked animals/Mobians He ISN'T A CANNIBAL. He is generally nice to humans Due to his diet change, his skin turned red and he lost all of his hair on his entire body. He has the ability to time travel via the Sonic CD Time Stones. He has Eggman's IQ of 300 and Eggman's personality but is more brutal for obvious reasons.
This is such an amazingly well done song. Starved's lore is pretty intriguing, the fact that he created Furnace to cook more sizeable animals (like Sonic) is nothing short of cool. Of course, like all great songs that were gonna be in update 3.0, this is scrapped, but I'm glad this is one of the remnants of this song actually existing.
This would have been bloody amazing, if it got to make the final cut! I especially love the sprites for Furnace and Starved, and not to mention, we finally get to hear what Starved sounds like!

i noticed how eggman's bar went back into the middle as soon as he started singing. normally in appearances of new characters the health bar would still be the same, but this basically introduces a whole new battle basically. kudos

i can see one hell of a thing that kinda felt this song off in a way: Sonic's Behaviour Yeah, i know Sonic is one hell of an optimistic guy but it still FEELS horribly off to not see him take this more seriously even after watching Amy's Horrible Death in front of him, and specially how many stuff has been messed up in Little Planet and other places to the point of no return. @@heydat1guygavin395 Long story: Starved's Events starts right after Sonic 1 when Robotnik decided to eat a dead Flicky that got burned to death by the explosion of Scrap Brain, quickly loosing it in the process with the desire of eating more and more A while after, Sonic decides to pursue Starved after South Island was literally cooked, following him into Little Planet, most events are similar until the 2nd Zone, in which Furnace Sonic catches Amy at the start of the zone and straight up puts her inside their furnace chest, cooking her alive while Sonic witnessed everything, now fully understanding how bad things got Then, the events of the race happens, and you can see it yourself. After Starved got his absolute victory, he decided to go after somebody else: Miles Prower (aka Tails). Things to note: - Apparently Sonic met Miles (Tails) way before the events of Sonic 1 and befriended him, different from the canon universe when he meets him in West Island inside an Unknown Forest. - Sonic CD events happen between Sonic 1 and 2 in this universe, while in the main universe it's theorized it happened shortly before Sonic 4 ACT I - Miles holds a bunch of technological devices specialized on night survival, capable of detecting badnicks quickly and even body temperature to identify properly everything, which also helps him get away from Starved's Machinery and Furnace itself easily almost being undetected.

i CANNOT BELIEVE this was scrapped... I'm only led to believe that if this is what wasn't good enough to make the cut, the rest of the songs in this update will be an entirely different level. Amazing work and super excited for the mod!!

Taking out the horrifying concept of cooking Sonic alive, Furnace has an unbelievably cool design. It’s like a culmination of Silver, Metal, and Mecha Sonic into one ultimate machine.
I feel like some people that say "oh yeah, Sonic is really accurate here" have to keep in mind this is CLASSIC Sonic. He was never meant to be cocky in the original games like modern is, he was actually meant to be confident, but not the type of "oh yeah, i don't care about what the threat is, i'm gonna win anyway". Even his sprites in the games show he's taking things seriously, he would not taunt eggman right after Amy died, and also wouldn't keep his guard down after seeing that, although the Generations and Forces version of Classic Sonic is a different case.
Japanese classic sonic was always interpreted by sega japan has a cocky-confident asshole but a hero anyway. Sonic on america got whole clean from that making him a more cliche-hero with a warm heart, sonic on Canon has always been an asshole
Except that Sonic wasn't aware of Amy's death. By the time he reached Stardust Speedway Amy had already been cooked by Furnace, but Sonic obviously didn't know this and kept on looking for her. Pretty sure that's the only reason he ran throughout Stardust Speedway in all of this.

Still think he would not let his guard down though, giving the fact that this race is a parallel to the original metal sonic race. The only way i see sonic dying by the trap is him trying to see if Starved was trying to do something because he slowed down, then getting killed by Furnace like in the video

Since Sonic dies in the Starved universe, my headcanon is that since this is scrapped, this is set in a universe where Sonic survived the battle. Him running into Furnace Metal was not him dying, merely getting knocked out, a desperate plan by Starved to try and kill Sonic. However, before Starved could kill him and turn him into his meal, Sonic awoke and fled quickly
3:00 I like how Sonic decided to pick up the pace after being albeit spooked by Starved. And that resulted in him being cooked alive for the red doctor.
Hands down to this masterpiece, the voices, the animation, vocals, and style, all these are the things that makes me so happy we could see this full banger, details like the hud and Furnace moving under the battle to the place he appears at the end of the song, it's just beautiful, excelent worl, and I hope the devs are finally able to rest after working on such a good mod~
i'm kinda sad this is scrapped, this would've been a great song to play! but i understand, not everything can be uploaded because of issues. maybe this could be released in the near future if issues get resolved? although i love how sonic keeps his cocky characteristics during the mid song dialogue and the ending.
shame this got scrapped, there's so much effort put into this, the voices are amazing, the whole story of this song, and the reveal of starved instead of eggman in the halfway cutscene can surprise people (for those not familiar with starved)
Furnace bypassing Sonic from underneath, while the Doc raps with Sonic to keep him distracted was the coolest part in this song... Especially Furnace getting by Sonic...
Ya know, it's really sad that this song will not be in the mod. Starved is the most creepy EXE character by my opinion. It is not a demon with "scary" bloody eyes, it's a maniacal person, that always wants to eat fresh meat of living creatures. His appearance is very, very unique and terrible (in a good way). Can't wait to see him in another song.
The other creepypasta characters from the mod weren't really scaring me but something about Starved is just so creepy. The vocals he uses, the edited face that's slightly realistic, the overall concept too. The story genuinely got under my skin when I first heard of it
2:40 i love how this song is dedicated for a creepy sonic au, but still got this quote part with the music changing the whole atomsphere from a scary black robot chasing you to a intense instrumental running in the background to a confidence-blowing disstressing happy music perfectly matching to the sonic taunting furnance and straved
so furnace sonic is way faster than regular sonic? but instead of just speeding up a little and catching him, starved makes it seem slow to lull him into a false sense of security, then have it sneakily zoom past him while distracting sonic using himself. and then at the end has him wait in front of sonic with its claw extended, then getting sonic to turn around so he runs into it and gets impaled? that is so unecessarily big brain
Honestly it makes sense, if it went faster than sonic he would counter it by increasing speed and wasting Furnace's fuel, Eggman being a distraction to allow Furnace to zoom past Sonic and catch him offguard is a good move when dealing with a speedster, we even see that Furnace doesnt use any fuel at the end to kill Sonic, implying he burned it all by zooming past him.

After the events of Sonic 1, Dr. Ivo Robotnik was left with an entire base of operations, destroyed by the blue blur, Sonic the Hedgehog. The old man was about cleaning the mess that was left in the wake of Sonic, when he stumbled across a charred, dead Flicky that had be burnt by a Badnik. The doctors curiosity was at first, offput from the sight; at that same time however, the aroma coming from the corpse intrigued him. He took a careful bite from the burnt portion of the Flicky. Something when eating that long gone bird clicked with Ivo that day, The taste was but of overwhelming to a euphoric degree. He savored the meat and allowed it to sit on his palette, over many, many days. No longer Robotnik wanted to go after the Chaos Emeralds, rather his interest was with having sustainability through the food he desired, both wildlife and soon to be, Mobians. Quickly after this encounter, he began to refurbish his Badniks in order for them to capture the said animal inhabitants of the South and Christmas Islands. He also began work on a new creation: Furnace, a metal sonic that would be able to keep up in par with Sonic himself, and outpace him in many more aspects. Over time however, The Doctor suffered the consequences of his newfound diet. His hair falling out, a rotting smell coming from him over time, and as well his skin reddening as he consumed more Mobian flesh over time. His desires grew further with having Sonic trying to counter him again in Sonic CD. As time went on, Furnace did as Robotnik asked, He captured the poor Amy Rose and little did Sonic know at that time, she had been eaten by the doctor when he arrived to Stardust Speedway. The race was but of quick pace, and Sonic had an advantage to him, His speed. He was able to outpace the Metal Incarnation of him as he went through the track. Robotnik caught up to the hedgehog, only for Sonic to taunt him and continue forward. Little did Sonic know his time was running short, Furnace making it swiftly to the ending. As Sonic saw the doctor slow down, he thought he made it home free. The slam could be heard across the entirety of Little Planet. Robotnik was over-joyous to finally getting that hedgehog, and thus keeps him as a prized collection, to only eat on special occasions. He treasures that he defeated Sonic that night. The doctor was not done after that, he had a bigger plan with the possession of the Time Stones after Sonic's Passing. He wanted to infinitely feed for as long as he could. He had one issue in the way though. A little fox that he had encountered but had yet to get himself.

Scary thing here is that Starved is actually Much, Much more competent than normal Eggman from normal Sonic cannon. Exhibit A: Actually unalived sonic. Eggman actually never has in cannon despite what the *edgier* international forces dub says. Exhibit B: Furnace(The odd metal sonic seen first in the Song before Starved) is able to actually go faster than sonic with what seems like no outside interference and is being used intelligently(Starved actually using their 300 IQ) to take advantage of how overconfident Sonic was.(Having that machine initially not use Nitro to later somehow sneak ahead of Sonic probably as they weren’t paying attention.)
I believe Sonic actually slowed down to gloat to Starved, allowing Furnace to use his top speed cuz if you think about it, if Furnace was faster than Sonic in the first place, he would have just caught him
Undestand something my guys, FURNACE IS NOT STRONGER THAN METAL SONIC "So how did he beat sonic?" Thats a different strategy that eggman(EGGMAN MADE THIS STRATEGY NOT FURNACE) used to finally beat that hedgehog This wans't going to make any sense like "oh now i changed my diet, im smarter now" If real eggman used this strategy the result was gonna be the same, the only difference is that eggman wans't going to eat sonic If we put real metal sonic and furnace to fight, its like putting goku to fight goku
this song is so damn good like WOW. it absolutely slaps, i also love the fact that sonic was too cocky and thought he got away but he actually ended up dooming himself as he was not watching where he was going. i also love the fact he called starved "red head" and not "egg head" that is pretty funny. sadly the song was scrapped but at least i can hear the song on youtube
I like how Sonic’s animations are less expressive during the second half, because this gives the sense that he’s already pushing himself to his limit with how fast he can go and can’t do too much movement while singing.
Drama and scrapped aside, this makes me really damn excited, there’s so much detail into this song - from small details like sonic and starved’s animations mid-song, proper lip-sync, that little furrow on sonic as starved laughs, which actually gets more intense, to furnace going ahead for foreshadowing, to the song itself, keeps the song fresh with 3 diff vocals, immediately starts the second half with a boss battle reference, how the song feels so much like a chase, and that drop mid-starved’s section - so much care, common sense, and attention to detail to be loved for animations and as a song itself. And as I looked at the explanation if bloat was the second biggest problem I don’t think there’s much to worry about when it comes to content for the mod.
What were the issues that led this to be scrapped? Difficulties with running the chase sequence in-engine? The song seems great quality-wise, and clearly a lot of effort went into it.
Dude I hate to be the one to say this but, do you remember what happened with Revie? Apparently the same thing happened with another person.. At least that's what I've heard, not sure though.
Imma tell you.......Avery who was the person behind Starved was in a call with RightBurst and revie for the fnf Parallax mod where RightBurst was being manipulated by revie to use their artwork for the mod. Congaminz, the owner of sonic exe was accused of something ( i dunno why wich end up in a big argument to Avery leaving the team ) I suggets you get on Avery's twitter where he explains it all .
well the difficulty of the song is supposed to depend on how difficult the fight is for the character which in this case was sonic vs furnace and sonic vs starved eggman, the only moment where sonic wanted to make his joke was the moment in which furnace I attacked him, sonic could have jumped
True but sonic was also too fast but still even with that speed he could've noticed furnaces if he paid attention. If he was looking away he could still smell the smoke going ahead from the furnace inside so of course he finna know they were trying to get him trapped and killed. I think this sonic is different while Canon sonic or if Canon was to be here then they would've easily noticed
I like how eggman suggests this has happened before, with the line “You don’t even know your fate, hedgehog” he probably used the time stones to relive this event over and over
Just by the animations, Starved and Furnace designs, song, etc., it gives me an idea of how good it will be 3.0; and i can even tell there's a chance to supass Indie Cross. I know this one got scrapped, but think about the details they did in this one to be so amazing.
I love this version of Eggman. Instead of using 'the power of god' he is just a psycho, but still rely on tech. The new Mecha Sonic also look great! The one thing is, how Eggman here eats the Mobians. There's nothing wrong with that, it just reminds me of a Sonic.EXE fangame, in which Tails is sleeping with Cream, and Tails was like: "Oh, wait, didn't foxes eat rabbits?" And he starts eating Cream. Ugh, so uncharacteristic.
I'm pretty much certain that sonic.exe game you're referring is Sally.exe: Whispers of hell, it has multiple endings depending on which character survives. Edit: it's the sequel to the Sonic.exe the spirits of hell, if anyone wondering.
Furnace is actually Metal Sonic since the real Sonic's death took place in CD, which takes place after Sonic 1. Mecha didn't exist until Sonic 2 (the gray version) and Sonic 3 (the blue version)
Now I know alot of fnf fans would enjoy this and I can see or hear that. I don't play the game but I do enjoy the songs here and the visuals are topnotch. Question, would this song or the sprites used here be given to the public? I'm just curious.

I don’t see many people notice or comment about this, it’s such a nice addition and I missed it my first time watching.
A fun detail I love to see every time I re watch this.
Minor nitpick here though - from what I got from the original lore - Furnace apparently outclassed Sonic in everything BUT speed. The only reason he actually ended up killing Sonic is because he went all the way to the end of the course to place spikes on a wall, which Sonic didn't see and he died on impact. The mod makes it seem like Furnace was faster than Sonic, which is weird since he should have just ended up catching Sonic much earlier.

The reason why Furnace didn't catch Sonic earlier was because he wanted to seem like Sonic won by falling back. When Starved came in to keep Sonic's attention on him, Furnace flew underneath the bridge, and passed by both of them to get ahead. Once Starved fell back and Sonic still kept paying attention to him, Furnace took the first chance he got to swoop in for the kill on Sonic. I think it's more that Furnace and Starved pulled a smarter move to get the jump on Sonic is a much better way to show how big of a threat both of them are than a random wall made of spikes that Sally.exe already did with Cream
Whoever did the voice of Sonic in this song deserves respect, it litearlly sounds exactly like Sonic's voice from Sonic CD.
Which makes sense considering that this takes place in Stardust Speedway Bad Future/Past.
Even if there are few scrapped good songs, I can Already see that This mod will be HYPE when V3.0 releases. Take your time guys.

One of my favorite parts about this is that the cutscene in between the character switch has a Hedgehog Stew motif. Not sure if that was intentional but if it is that makes this even more of a shame that this ended up scrapped

Great song, and for my first experience with any of these characters, I'll say that Furnace (is that his name?) is a really interesting concept, being a visual combination of Metal and Mecha Sonic that operates with a literal furnace instead of some jet engine or thruster. I'm also noticing some retractable claws with some of his animations?
I also found it kinda ironic that Sonic, known for racing a mechanical doppelganger through a highway in a dystopian future, forgot that said highway is a giant circle.
. . . Yes, moments after posting this, I watched it back again and realised that Frunace actually snuck ahead of Sonic underneath the highway, you don't need to tell me, please save yourself the effort.

For those of you who don't know the lore of starved and are confused about Starved Eggman's line he said to Sonic
Starved Eggman is prominently born around the Sonic CD game where there were six stones called the time stones that when collected allowed you to travel through time, due to that S Eggman can basically eat Sonic and everyone else then go back in time and do it again and again.
His line was implying that this isn't the first time this happened.
EDITTED TO ADD BIGGER SUMMARY.
Starved Eggman is a version of Eggman that comes to be after the events of Sonic 1.
While rebuilding his destroyed base he happened upon the charred corpse of a flicky(The blue little birds in sonic) and curiosity got the better of him as he smelled the flicky so he picked it up and took a bite. Afterwards something clicked in his mind. He grew a taste for the flesh of Mobians(Sonic characters basically) and animals and started to remake his robots with the purpose of catching and cooking the animals so he could eat them faster. He would then go on to create FURNACE (This world's version of Metal Sonic and the one in the video) With the goal of capturing Mobians(The animals that can walk and talk like Sonic, Tails, etc)

This is such an amazingly well done song. Starved's lore is pretty intriguing, the fact that he created Furnace to cook more sizeable animals (like Sonic) is nothing short of cool. Of course, like all great songs that were gonna be in update 3.0, this is scrapped, but I'm glad this is one of the remnants of this song actually existing.

@@heydat1guygavin395 Long story: Starved's Events starts right after Sonic 1 when Robotnik decided to eat a dead Flicky that got burned to death by the explosion of Scrap Brain, quickly loosing it in the process with the desire of eating more and more
A while after, Sonic decides to pursue Starved after South Island was literally cooked, following him into Little Planet, most events are similar until the 2nd Zone, in which Furnace Sonic catches Amy at the start of the zone and straight up puts her inside their furnace chest, cooking her alive while Sonic witnessed everything, now fully understanding how bad things got
Then, the events of the race happens, and you can see it yourself.
After Starved got his absolute victory, he decided to go after somebody else: Miles Prower (aka Tails).
Things to note:
- Apparently Sonic met Miles (Tails) way before the events of Sonic 1 and befriended him, different from the canon universe when he meets him in West Island inside an Unknown Forest.
- Sonic CD events happen between Sonic 1 and 2 in this universe, while in the main universe it's theorized it happened shortly before Sonic 4 ACT I
- Miles holds a bunch of technological devices specialized on night survival, capable of detecting badnicks quickly and even body temperature to identify properly everything, which also helps him get away from Starved's Machinery and Furnace itself easily almost being undetected.

Taking out the horrifying concept of cooking Sonic alive, Furnace has an unbelievably cool design. It’s like a culmination of Silver, Metal, and Mecha Sonic into one ultimate machine.
I feel like some people that say "oh yeah, Sonic is really accurate here" have to keep in mind this is CLASSIC Sonic. He was never meant to be cocky in the original games like modern is, he was actually meant to be confident, but not the type of "oh yeah, i don't care about what the threat is, i'm gonna win anyway". Even his sprites in the games show he's taking things seriously, he would not taunt eggman right after Amy died, and also wouldn't keep his guard down after seeing that, although the Generations and Forces version of Classic Sonic is a different case.
Japanese classic sonic was always interpreted by sega japan has a cocky-confident asshole but a hero anyway.
Sonic on america got whole clean from that making him a more cliche-hero with a warm heart, sonic on Canon has always been an asshole
Except that Sonic wasn't aware of Amy's death. By the time he reached Stardust Speedway Amy had already been cooked by Furnace, but Sonic obviously didn't know this and kept on looking for her. Pretty sure that's the only reason he ran throughout Stardust Speedway in all of this.

Since Sonic dies in the Starved universe, my headcanon is that since this is scrapped, this is set in a universe where Sonic survived the battle. Him running into Furnace Metal was not him dying, merely getting knocked out, a desperate plan by Starved to try and kill Sonic. However, before Starved could kill him and turn him into his meal, Sonic awoke and fled quickly

Hands down to this masterpiece, the voices, the animation, vocals, and style, all these are the things that makes me so happy we could see this full banger, details like the hud and Furnace moving under the battle to the place he appears at the end of the song, it's just beautiful, excelent worl, and I hope the devs are finally able to rest after working on such a good mod~
i'm kinda sad this is scrapped, this would've been a great song to play! but i understand, not everything can be uploaded because of issues. maybe this could be released in the near future if issues get resolved? although i love how sonic keeps his cocky characteristics during the mid song dialogue and the ending.
shame this got scrapped, there's so much effort put into this, the voices are amazing, the whole story of this song, and the reveal of starved instead of eggman in the halfway cutscene can surprise people (for those not familiar with starved)

Ya know, it's really sad that this song will not be in the mod. Starved is the most creepy EXE character by my opinion. It is not a demon with "scary" bloody eyes, it's a maniacal person, that always wants to eat fresh meat of living creatures. His appearance is very, very unique and terrible (in a good way). Can't wait to see him in another song.
The other creepypasta characters from the mod weren't really scaring me but something about Starved is just so creepy. The vocals he uses, the edited face that's slightly realistic, the overall concept too. The story genuinely got under my skin when I first heard of it

so furnace sonic is way faster than regular sonic? but instead of just speeding up a little and catching him, starved makes it seem slow to lull him into a false sense of security, then have it sneakily zoom past him while distracting sonic using himself. and then at the end has him wait in front of sonic with its claw extended, then getting sonic to turn around so he runs into it and gets impaled? that is so unecessarily big brain

Honestly it makes sense, if it went faster than sonic he would counter it by increasing speed and wasting Furnace's fuel, Eggman being a distraction to allow Furnace to zoom past Sonic and catch him offguard is a good move when dealing with a speedster, we even see that Furnace doesnt use any fuel at the end to kill Sonic, implying he burned it all by zooming past him.

After the events of Sonic 1, Dr. Ivo Robotnik was left with an entire base of operations, destroyed by the blue blur, Sonic the Hedgehog. The old man was about cleaning the mess that was left in the wake of Sonic, when he stumbled across a charred, dead Flicky that had be burnt by a Badnik. The doctors curiosity was at first, offput from the sight; at that same time however, the aroma coming from the corpse intrigued him. He took a careful bite from the burnt portion of the Flicky.
Something when eating that long gone bird clicked with Ivo that day, The taste was but of overwhelming to a euphoric degree. He savored the meat and allowed it to sit on his palette, over many, many days.
No longer Robotnik wanted to go after the Chaos Emeralds, rather his interest was with having sustainability through the food he desired, both wildlife and soon to be, Mobians. Quickly after this encounter, he began to refurbish his Badniks in order for them to capture the said animal inhabitants of the South and Christmas Islands. He also began work on a new creation: Furnace, a metal sonic that would be able to keep up in par with Sonic himself, and outpace him in many more aspects.
Over time however, The Doctor suffered the consequences of his newfound diet. His hair falling out, a rotting smell coming from him over time, and as well his skin reddening as he consumed more Mobian flesh over time. His desires grew further with having Sonic trying to counter him again in Sonic CD.
As time went on, Furnace did as Robotnik asked, He captured the poor Amy Rose and little did Sonic know at that time, she had been eaten by the doctor when he arrived to Stardust Speedway.
The race was but of quick pace, and Sonic had an advantage to him, His speed. He was able to outpace the Metal Incarnation of him as he went through the track. Robotnik caught up to the hedgehog, only for Sonic to taunt him and continue forward. Little did Sonic know his time was running short, Furnace making it swiftly to the ending. As Sonic saw the doctor slow down, he thought he made it home free.
The slam could be heard across the entirety of Little Planet. Robotnik was over-joyous to finally getting that hedgehog, and thus keeps him as a prized collection, to only eat on special occasions. He treasures that he defeated Sonic that night.
The doctor was not done after that, he had a bigger plan with the possession of the Time Stones after Sonic's Passing. He wanted to infinitely feed for as long as he could. He had one issue in the way though. A little fox that he had encountered but had yet to get himself.

Scary thing here is that Starved is actually Much, Much more competent than normal Eggman from normal Sonic cannon.
Exhibit A: Actually unalived sonic. Eggman actually never has in cannon despite what the *edgier* international forces dub says.
Exhibit B: Furnace(The odd metal sonic seen first in the Song before Starved) is able to actually go faster than sonic with what seems like no outside interference and is being used intelligently(Starved actually using their 300 IQ) to take advantage of how overconfident Sonic was.(Having that machine initially not use Nitro to later somehow sneak ahead of Sonic probably as they weren’t paying attention.)
To be fair; Metal Sonic _is_ as fast as Sonic. The issue is how stories handle him.

this song is so damn good like WOW. it absolutely slaps, i also love the fact that sonic was too cocky and thought he got away but he actually ended up dooming himself as he was not watching where he was going. i also love the fact he called starved "red head" and not "egg head" that is pretty funny. sadly the song was scrapped but at least i can hear the song on youtube

I like how Sonic’s animations are less expressive during the second half, because this gives the sense that he’s already pushing himself to his limit with how fast he can go and can’t do too much movement while singing.
The peel out isn’t even Mach one, which sonic can cannonicly reach

Drama and scrapped aside, this makes me really damn excited, there’s so much detail into this song - from small details like sonic and starved’s animations mid-song, proper lip-sync, that little furrow on sonic as starved laughs, which actually gets more intense, to furnace going ahead for foreshadowing, to the song itself, keeps the song fresh with 3 diff vocals, immediately starts the second half with a boss battle reference, how the song feels so much like a chase, and that drop mid-starved’s section - so much care, common sense, and attention to detail to be loved for animations and as a song itself. And as I looked at the explanation if bloat was the second biggest problem I don’t think there’s much to worry about when it comes to content for the mod.

Crazy how one small bird's death, and Eggman's curiosity to see what it tasted like spiraled into him trying to eat Sonic.
What were the issues that led this to be scrapped? Difficulties with running the chase sequence in-engine? The song seems great quality-wise, and clearly a lot of effort went into it.

Imma tell you.......Avery who was the person behind Starved was in a call with RightBurst and revie for the fnf Parallax mod where RightBurst was being manipulated by revie to use their artwork for the mod. Congaminz, the owner of sonic exe was accused of something ( i dunno why wich end up in a big argument to Avery leaving the team ) I suggets you get on Avery's twitter where he explains it all .

well the difficulty of the song is supposed to depend on how difficult the fight is for the character which in this case was sonic vs furnace and sonic vs starved eggman, the only moment where sonic wanted to make his joke was the moment in which furnace I attacked him, sonic could have jumped
he was looking at the viewer or behind and that's why he didn't see it I think
True but sonic was also too fast but still even with that speed he could've noticed furnaces if he paid attention. If he was looking away he could still smell the smoke going ahead from the furnace inside so of course he finna know they were trying to get him trapped and killed. I think this sonic is different while Canon sonic or if Canon was to be here then they would've easily noticed

Just by the animations, Starved and Furnace designs, song, etc., it gives me an idea of how good it will be 3.0; and i can even tell there's a chance to supass Indie Cross. I know this one got scrapped, but think about the details they did in this one to be so amazing.

I love this version of Eggman. Instead of using 'the power of god' he is just a psycho, but still rely on tech. The new Mecha Sonic also look great!
The one thing is, how Eggman here eats the Mobians. There's nothing wrong with that, it just reminds me of a Sonic.EXE fangame, in which Tails is sleeping with Cream, and Tails was like: "Oh, wait, didn't foxes eat rabbits?" And he starts eating Cream. Ugh, so uncharacteristic.

I'm pretty much certain that sonic.exe game you're referring is Sally.exe: Whispers of hell, it has multiple endings depending on which character survives.
Edit: it's the sequel to the Sonic.exe the spirits of hell, if anyone wondering.
Furnace is actually Metal Sonic since the real Sonic's death took place in CD, which takes place after Sonic 1. Mecha didn't exist until Sonic 2 (the gray version) and Sonic 3 (the blue version)
