They get up to 65, usually past Royal Lane station. I wonder if it was slower because it was 3 cars long and/or there were so many extra trains on this line due to State Fair traffic. Once the fair is over I will do one going to opposite direction (from north to south) and hopefully they will get up to full speed then.
@@VideoGuy_TX No that’s the normal speed of an average LRT. 65 mph is the top speed but it doesn’t hit it all the time. Keep in mind the intersections, the curves and the bridges slow down the train. Compare it to the Los Angeles C line which glides along a highway median without intersections and rarely any curves.
@@VideoGuy_TX Also, I remember living in LA. People hyped the metro B line going at 70 mph. It does, but only from Universal studios to North Hollywood. However the train stations are placed from .75 to 1.25 miles, therefore the speed ranged from 45-55 mph most of the time.
@@jeSuisbar I don't know what you are "no"ing me about. What I said is accurate, and almost identical to what you said. Getting "up to 65" is the same as " 65 mph is the top speed". It is very obvious they are not at 65 all the time. I don't know what you're trying to prove.
@@VideoGuy_TX The Dart train speed isn’t significantly affected by the # of cars nor people on the train. Many LRTs run on 3 cars with higher passengers and speed is still the same.

For such long distances, 43mph seems slow
