- Picking Up My New EX Military HMMWV Humvee from the Government IronPlanet Auction
Hello Everyone! In this video I will be picking up my EX-Military surplus Humvee that I bought from the IronPlanet auction. This truck is a 2011 M1167 HMMWV with the 6.5 Turbo diesel engine and 4 speed 4L80E transmission

Nice! I just bought an 1152 and had a slantback from Black Dog installed.
Unfortunately I have to ship mine to Australia so the journey home is a lot more of a pain than collecting it with a trailer! 😂

You were lucky on that blow-out. Often when the front tandem tire pops it takes out the rear too. Happened to me. Luckily, a smart friend recommended I bring two spares!
That Humvee they using as a go kart is bad ass too. You got the exact same versioni want. Thing looks sick my man.

Er war vor Jahren in einem Video bei TH-cam der Auslöser, warum ich mich entschlossen hatte, mir einen Humvee zu holen🙂. Habe es nicht bereut🙃. 2019 hab ich ihn auch bei einem Besuch in Deutschland, persönlich kennengelernt.👍👍👍 - Years ago, in a video on TH-cam, he was the reason why I decided to get a Humvee. I have no regrets. In 2019 I also met him personally during a visit to Germany.

Man they forgot to demil a ton of stuff, how did you swing that? I am on my third GovPlanet HMMWV and they chop the stuff all off. Let me know when you can arrange to get those Armored Doors!!!!

I wondered that as well. I believe it's a base for a traverse and elevation tower, possibly for a TOW missile system or something. I saw one on TH-cam in a restoration video. It had a black tower about 12" tall, with degree markings around the base.

Did this have all the correct fluids and the right levels when you picked it up? I heard the army drains these things completely

What’s the deal with the new or Humvees that have that push the grill? I heard it’s because of a turbo? But didn’t some of the older 6.5s have turbos as well?
The extended nose on front is to accommodate the longer radiator and cooling stack on the “ECV” Humvees. All these trucks have the 6.5 turbo engines.

Were the x doors you saw in a pile the standard fiberglass ones or armored doors? Wonder why they would be scrapping them?
Probably were the x doors too, the market on those been drying up a lot

People talk crap I had a beautiful one perfect condition and people complain about spending 12.000 lol

For real, I just bought one for $26k and has plenty of work I’ll be putting into it still. Few yrs back would have been half that.
