are 2 groups of couple dances in 3/4
time from Sweden and Norway, which are not at all waltzes--- each step of 3 is
different, only 3 different steps are used
to make whole turn ( NOT 6, as in waltz),
men s and women s steps are totally
different in some versions, or else
mirror opposite BUT 1 beat off from each
other (WHY so difficult?!)
Mazurka is foreign name for Polish
Mazurek, another 3/4 time dance that also is NOT waltz, but has many step
variations, mostly mirror opposite.
