Can you paint a Warhammer Army in 12 hours? | Warhammer 40k Challenge

- With 10th edition around the corner, we thought it would be a great idea to see if we could get a playable army in a day. We attempt to paint about 1750 points of Necrons for Warhammer 40,000 in 12 hours. We will try to get everything in the army to a battle ready standard and maybe with a few snazzy bits on top! The full list of the force can found below along with the paints we used

Bless you mate! The Leviathan drop has certainly been saturated, being transparent we'll absolutely have our time in the 10th edition sun aswell, just not currently. For the time being these muppets are painting robots! 😂

@Nixolotl Same here! I like the look of the Necrons last few years and I've got a few but they're so f!*%@ fiddly and skinny I can't bear to build them....

What I found for gold is to use a silver dahler Rowney ink and mix in some sepia or leather contrast.

To answer Kieran's ponder; the reason why gold paints generally don't look quite right is that there's no actual gold in the gold paints. Gold is expensive to work with, so they are usually made with tinted aluminium or a different hue of metal like copper. Excellent painting, Kierans!

I've got so much i still need to paint
I've fully painted:
10 warriors, 3 scarabs, 3 skorpekhs, 1 overlord, 4 deathmarks, 1 Lokhust heavy, 1 hexmark, 3 wraiths, 1 technomancer, 1 spyder and the void dragon
Still got to paint:
10 more warriors, 3 more scarabs, 3 more skorpekhs, 1 deathmark, 5 Immortals, 1 doomstalker, illuminor szeras and an unbuilt overlord
Watching this makes me want to make progress on my purple necrons

Ok so figuring out how yall collected this army. I assume yall started with the start collecting box, getting hyped for 9th edition, and then got the big indomitus box. Or yall got the big box and then excitingly got the start collecting box before the new combat patrol dropped, and then go the CP. I saw the two commemorative models which Im jealous of as I never got them, and at some point decided to go in on 6 more skorpekh destroyers since they were dumb cheap during 9th edition haha
Nearly! It started with the Indomitus box, then the combat patrol box and then a few issues of the imperium magazine!

I also want to point out, the amount of points yall painted in 12 hours probably took me a year to do. So congrats on that haha.I have gotten a lot faster now, going on my 3rd in the hobby with over 6k points so I gues longevity and endurance was in my corner haha
I'm Texan. It's almost impossible to find actually Texan barbecue outside of Texas, even in our neighboring states. The idea of "Texas Barbecue pizza" in the UK concerns me. What exactly is on it?
