The sky was black
Thunder unrelenting
Ulysses’ men bore strength to steady oar
Battered, the men paid dearly
The tempest it subsided
The men bring ship ashore

The crew is hungry
Replenishing their stores
Eating, feasting and drinking

Rolls a giant boulder, fashioning a door

And he’s feeling hungry, picks two off the floor
Tired Cyclops, It’s time for sleep now
After sleeping for his breakfast
in the morning cyclops eating two more
Now he’s taking sheep to pasture
Leaving home he rolls the boulder, once more
The crew fearing defeat look to Ulysses
He’s got a plan to get out of this mess or they’ll lose
Find a piece of lumber
And we’ll work together to fashion a spear for our use
Cyclops returning
And he is thirsty
Ulysses offers “Come and drink my wine"
Cyclops has never had wine
So he starts dancing, prancing
Movin’, groovin’ feeling so fine
I like this wine, feeling so fine
Oh please proclaim, what is your name
Noman! My name is Noman. Why don’t you rest now
You have worked so hard Just close your eye

Just close your eye
Men start moving, get their lumber
Use the fire, heat the weapon, it glows red
Careful not to break his slumber
With their weapon they hope to make him dead

I can not see, Brothers come help me
Polyphemus, who has caused you pain
Noman kills me, Noman
If no man kills you, then why do you cry out in vain
You’re wasting our time, It’s always the same
Wounded he searches his cave for the crew
Blinded by rage he has not a clue
Ulysses’s plot is formed in his head
To not kill his foe freedom instead
Hung under the rams grasping the fleece
Cyclops is fooled from their prison released
Out of the cave and out to the shore
Onto their ship their backs turn to oars
