Gezary is my role model. She and I are exactly the same height and weight. I just started practicing BJJ last February and have my first competition as a white belt today. This week I've probably watched all the Gezary matches posted to TH-cam! She's hugely inspiring!

At that level you need only make one mistake. That match it was Matuda that made it. She just might become more danderous than ever after that match because it showed her a weakness, if you can call it that. Her opponent, after the mistake, was strong enough to keep her from breaking free. Judging by the wirds of her coach, they knew this going in. She needs to be stronger.
At the very end the referee almost dislocated her shoulder... A lot of referees don't realize what they are doing when they yank the arm up like that... careful guys... careful... 🐹
