Thank you! The American is a great string quartet, but it's really frustrating to see that it's basically the only Dvořák's Quartet performed and known...
@@ClassicalMusicAndSoundtracks Dude this is an excellent display of the hyper emphasis on individuality during the romantic period. This piece is arguably just as good as America.
Tremendously helpful to me, as I prepare this to play with friends for a week on a study course! I am so grateful that you went to all this trouble! Many, many, thanks!
A big thank you to Scene00. I’m making my way through the Dvorak string quartets, what a pleasure. Number 13 is a revelation, especially the glorious second movement.
Thank you! Man, it is so wonderful, and the prospect of playing it is *so utterly terrifying*! (Its forebear-Schubert's G Major-practically killed me! 😢)
How not to love Dvorak's music? Comfort for the soul ♥
This is honestly my favorite string quartet from Dvorak!! So underrated yet so good
He's my favorite too! For me, he's on the same level as Beethoven's late quartets. Absolutely wonderful!

Maybe it's because the other quartets are good but not excellent.
@@ClassicalMusicAndSoundtracksI would argue that some of Dvořák’s other quartets are just as great!

I love the last one in A-flat more though.
that second movement, wow... it´s been a long time since I was so impressed and impacted by one of these
The more I hear Antonín Dvořák, the more I want to hear.
Bien joué.
In my opinion Dvorak's greatest work!

Thank you very much for posting with the score. This is a flat-out masterpiece, and not nearly as well known as it should be.

Hi everybody, I just noticed I made a mistake at about 32:57 and transitioned frames too early. Apologies for the error!

Who plays? It's magnificently played🤯
Dvorak is undoubtedly the Greatest student and expositor of Beethoven in the quartet genre
