I love it. It just emphasises to me how much lisbon does for Jane. I love patrick Jane. he is amazing. but the man is difficult to be with. Lisbon doesnt get enough credit for handling him. This is why i always hated the writers for never letting Jane suffer the consequences of hurting lisbon. he keeps leaving her. She forgives him so easily. throughout the seasons she is shown pining over him which is so pathetic for a strong character. He manipulates her feeling for him to get her to do anything for him without remorse. Hurts her with his stunt with lorelia ..knowing how she felt about him and never addressing it or apologising. the one time she does brings it up he shuts her up by bringing mashburn up. its not the same thing. When she slept with Mashburn she did it knowing that Jane wld never feel that way about her. infact i am willing to bet she slept with Mashburn because he reminded her of jane. And Jane never showed or let it be known he cared. When the lorelia thing happened Jane knew how Lisbon felt about him. she was transparent to him always. he cld see it hurt her and he never apologized. he Ruined her career.. she went from being the unit chief in cbi to his side kick with no signaficant position in fbi. that made feel bad about the way her character got treated by the writers. In season 7 her role got diminished from being a badass street smart cop to one of the team member with not scene to show her strenghts. she was purely reduced to love interest. that was sad. real sad. She was a brilliant team leader. that was her strenght they cld have made her one.
Yes, it is all true what you say. But in the end, she is pregnant. And being a mother, and looking after their child, or, even better, not one, but several children, she will be much more happy and fulfilled. And risking her life every day....in the long run, is not the healthiest of careers anyways.
