This turtle puzzle was the only time I called the phone number of the hint line for the Dig. They then told me to hit the tab to rotate the bones. But the game never even mentions that tab can do that!
The "Quantic Dream" Collection is on sale on Steam which includes Detroit: Become Human. You guys should play all of those games eventually :) Heavy Rain is probably the best one in my opinion.
I've loved this game since it was first released - since I played the demo, even. Anyway, don't worry, Paul, the turtle puzzle is, in my opinion, the hardest puzzle in this game. (Where is Tori when you need her??) Two quick, interesting facts about the turtle puzzle: 1) if you examine (with magnifying glass) the fossil Boston comments briefly but his "voice" is clearly NOT Robert Patrick (as Daniel said, the fossil was added late in development), and 2) you can tell when the bones are correct because when you exit the bones puzzle screen the words "Use With" show up very briefly.
@@danielalbu Yeah I noticed you guys did that in the stream, and I gotta say I don't recall ever clicking on the bones directly, so I had no idea you could tell that way. It's possible I knew of it once, but then forgot. It has been almost 30 years. Anyway, minor detail.

Using the Tab key is one way to do it.
You can also do it by right-clicking with the mouse.

Another indicator that you've solved the puzzle correctly is that you can no longer look at the bones after exiting that screen.
