I would like to state my opinion, but It didn't actually save your life. No, I'm not here for hate, but it didn't save you, you did. This song actually just showed you that you are strong. This song gives you something nobody else did, it gave you a reason to live, and strength. I know you are going through or went through a battle nobody knows about, and trust me, I'm going through a battle too, everybody is. The song helped you save your life, you saved your own. Be strong, stay strong.
It’s so strange how this song used to help me acknowledge my sadness, but how now it makes me so happy to hear it. Funny how time and perspective change things.
To Avril Lavigne. You helped me through my times of sadness, you helped me become confident, you helped me find myself and I can’t thank you enough for that your music means the world to me.
Dedicated to my parents who were there for me when I was bullied, my friends who saved me in primary school and my wonderful girlfriend who is the most happy person all of the time. I feel blessed to have them in my life :)

You are blessed, you are loved. Also another thing You Matter You Count You are loved You are awesome You are beautiful You have a good heart It will get better. I know when people say "it will get better" you just shrug off and think it never will but you know it's gonna make a deep scar and hurt so don't make it hurt even more. Anyone can win a battle, but only a soldier can win a war. Keep fighting, it will be alright. You know it will. Smile. Look at yourself in the mirror. You are beautiful. Don't fight me on that; you know you are. I know things are hard, I know it seems like there's no point living life, but you are the point. You are the one who keeps strong through all this, you can do this. The struggles in today will be the smiles in tomorrow. Believe in life, believe in your smile, believe in you. Because you matter, you count, you can get through this. You are a soldier, you can win the war. Whatever it is, you can do this. Whether it's something small like an English assignment tomorrow, or something big like the loss of a family member, you can do this. Don't fight the fact that it won't get better, because you are just making it worse. Everyone has a purpose, if you haven't found yours yet it will come. You won't know when, you won't know where, but you will know what. If they say it's impossible, it's impossible for them, not for you. Because you matter. Trust me. I know people are wondering why I wrote this. I wrote this because I care. About you. About your family. About your life. You are beautiful in your own way. When you have insecurities, I like to call them imperfections. And you have perfect imperfections. They are what makes you you. So never try to take that joy from yourself. I've said it before and I will say it again, you matter. God bless you and your family
I have a story: Once I was in middle school and my mom was in the process of divorcing dad, and so she picked me up from school. And so she turns on the radio and this song is playing and suddenly it takes my mind off of the divorce. So a couple of days later me and mom moved to a new house without dad. And it’s been great ever since. The End
I think this Is one of the best songs I've ever heard because I listened to it... when I was feeling down, and really depressed. So this song did save my life and I can agree with everything this song is saying because I've been through it too.
On January 10, 2010, the 13 year old version of myself rolled her wheelchair into the middle school I attended. I had to miss the entire second quarter of school that year, because I'd broken my leg and had to have 3 surgeries and I had gotten swine flu, it was bad, we'll leave it at that. Over the course of the 4 months I missed, depression hit hard. It was really rough on me. First thing in the morning on my first day back, the guy I have a HUGE crush on comes up to me, looks me in the eye and says, "Oh, you're back, I was hoping you had killed yourself." That was the last straw. I spent the rest of the day planning it. My friend's mom was going to drop me off at my house and I would be home alone. It was a perfect day to die. The album Ocean Eyes by Owl City had just come out and I was already in love with it. I decided to listen to it while I wrote my note. The last song of the album, Tidal Wave, comes on and I listen to it, REALLY listen to it. By the end of it, Adam Young had given me just enough hope to keep going. Over 5 year later and I am so glad to be alive. I always knew that I'd kill myself before the age of 18 and yet, here I am at 19, alive and trying to use my story to help others. You never know what beautiful, wonderful, amazing things your future may hold. Please, hold on, your life still lies ahead of you, waiting to be lived.
+Hootowlnumber 1 Thank you so soo much! I'm sorry for everything that you've experienced and I'm so glad that everything turned out right and that you're alive. Everyone says that life gets better and this is an incredible representation of that. Thank you for giving me the motivation to continue, I'm currently going through a rough time and I really needed to hear that some people who've had it so many times worse than me have gotten through it. Thank you for being the amazing person you are, thank you for being alive to post this. Best of luck in your life :)
+Jasmin Lou It does get better, but not always on it's own. Sometimes, you have to make the first move, reach out and talk to someone about how you're feeling. If no one knows you need help, no one can help you get the help you need. It will get better, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just hold on, you will make it out, I promise.
I know what it’s like to be at the lowest or what you think, but the only thing you can do about it is to believe. You think your in this spiral of darkness and you think your at the lowest of all but just keep believing that you can do this and than you see a light in a distance you can finally reach. Even in the most dark of darkness a star always shines through. If you keep your head up and say you will make it out of there nothing is stopping you and all you have to do is keep going. Also you can reach out to someone that’s not like you and that doesn’t make you weak. It wakes you strong cause you believe you can get out of this and that’s takes courage to realize it. Never give up I believe you got this.
So many peoples think that "this is just a song", but no. This isn't just a song. This is more than song. This is something what we doesn't know yet. This song saved my life and I'm so grateful!
For One Direction... I was always depressed because of bullying and family problems.. then in science the teacher turned on music and what makes you beautiful came on and ever since then one direction became my heros
***** All she said was she would dedicate this song to One Direction bc they saved her life since the song is talking about saving lives, her comment is pretty relevant to the song.
Alexis Brafford i agree so much with you, although simple plan are perfect one direction just idk, they have generally helped me so much more then any other band. although many hare also helped
Saw these guys as a teenager in 2005..So glad I did..They are awesome..Been a huge fan from the very beginning of their career..35 now and still rocking out to Simple Plan...Great band and great live show as well.
Dear the person who is reading this, I'm really proud of you for getting this far. I don't know if you've heard that within the past week, but man I'm so proud of you. You dealt with so much, and you're still here and that is the most amazing thing to me. Now I know, how could they know a thing about me? Well I've been where you are, pills on the counter, blade in my hand, note written, goodbyes said. And I just wanted to say that I love you because you are worthy of love and you are worthy of life. So if you think nobody loves you or the world will be better without you, I love you and I will be so sad without you. I'm proud of you. Stay strong, Me
The title of the song says it all, especially how I struggled agaist suicide, but their song named Perfect saved my life back in '23. Thank you Simple Plan, your songs saved my life!
And I wish to make more Christian clips on this song from Christian movies or animation, like The Torchlighters, God with Us, Messangers, To Every Nation The Pilgrim's Progress and so on.
The story behind “This Song Saved My Life” (2012) is EXTRAORDINARY❕ The piece has been created after Chuck Comeau tweeted that Simple Plan wanted their fans to tell them how their music or music in general has changed or even saved their lives. And many did tweet back❕ Then, Chuck, Pierre and Toby Gad put the replies together and composed a song reflecting all these feelings showing how important music can be. Said Chuck Comeau : “I think the best way to describe it is - IT’S A SONG BY THE FANS FOR THE FANS. Our band, Simple Plan, from the beginning has been about you guys, really. The fans. We have an amazing connection with you, we talk to you after the concert, we read all your letters, we read you on Twitter, we hang out with you guys, we know about your lives and it’s been amazingly humbling and overwhelming to know how much our music has affected you. How much it helps you go through tough times and how much it makes a difference in your life.” HOW MANY CELEBRITIES DO YOU THINK ARE THAT DEVOTED TO THEIR FOLLOWERS⁉️ 💙🎼💚
i really just want somebody to actually understand what im going through and i just wanna give them a hug and cry on their shoulder. But nobodyb will ever let me do that.
My Dad passed away a few days ago on the 3nd of January 2021 from kidney and liver failure not the virus but I am and have been feeling numb aka not really feeling anything and this song is just what I needed but I don't know why it just give me a good feeling thanks simple plan.
"This Song Saved My Life" Wow really? what is the name of this song? "This Song Saved My Life" Yeah I know but what is his name? "This Song Saved My Life" I knoww..ok what is the band name - Simple plan And the song name? "This Song Saved My Life" OOk u know what? nevermind
7 years later, I can listen to this without crying. I still get chills though. Simple plans music really did save me, countless times during the hardest years of my life. ‘Welcome to my life’ helped me express my feelings and made me feel understood. ‘Perfect’ assured me that I wasn’t doing everything wrong like I was told I was, that it was ok that I wasn’t perfect. ‘Thank you’ helped me express/channel my anger towards my ‘friend’ whenever she hurt me, ‘gone too soon’ helped me move on from a crush when I Changed schools, ‘you don’t mean anything to me’ helped me give up on a boy I liked after he got a girlfriend (and then ‘freaking me out’ when he started changing in a bad way because of her), ‘astronaut’ and ‘I’m just a kid’ helped me normalise and be accepting of being alone. ‘One day’ gave me hope for the future. This song, makes me think of all the songs that saved me, and what would have happened had I not had all that support.
I feel into a endless pit of depression and anxiety I thought the world was out to get me...at least that's what it felt like all I can say is ...This song saved MY life..
Everyone is saying how this song is talking about a band or an artist but to me its talking about my friends. Mainly the first verse, I hope you all will find friends like mine soon because it will change your life if you havent already
Yesterday, my classmate saw the cuts on my wrist and after class he dragged me to the library to listen to this song. He didn't even know who I was but I really want to thank him. I don't know if it did anything to change my decision but I spent all night crying about a dude who doesn't even know my name. I just want to thank him, cause he and this song kept me alive another night.
When I was 14 I was in a really bad place mentally and didn't think I'd live past my 20th. That same year Simple Plan released Welcome to My Life, which was a song that just got me. Every time things got really bad I'd listen to that song and it'd pull me back because I felt like I wasn't completely alone. I find it incredibly poetic that that same band who's song saved my life so many times wrote a song like this
This song quite literally saved my life, in 2012 the 14yr me was contemplating suicide by blade to the neck but this song.... all I have to say is thank you. Thank you with all my heart and god bless simple plan. I know it might be cliche but you might not know what it means to me, again thank you you have made a life long fan of me.😭
To the people this song may be dedicated to: You’re amazing. You helped save a life. That’s amazing. Keep being wonderful. To the people who are dedicating thing song to someone: You’re so strong. Keep up your fight! We’re rooting for you!
Here's to all the songs that reminded us that we aren't the only ones suffering out there, the ones that brought us through the pain and sadness, and the ones that stopped a bullied kid from taking their own life. Here's to the songs that saved our lives.
This song describes me. I am not suicidal, and never was, but it describes me and the connection with my school teachers. I was suffering from bullying and felt alone in Year 7 (6th Grade), and had no one, and they stuck with me, understood me. I am grateful beyond my wits, and I can't believe how happy I am now. I wrote letters to give my thanks and made them emotional because of how far I've come. Love this song. Can't believe I only found it a few days ago.
Really this song saved my life, A couple of years ago my dad passed away and then I've lost my career because of mental illness and physical anxiety. But this song gave me hope and a ton of positive energy. It helps me to make my life better. I want to say thank you so much, Simple Plan ♥️
Currently battling depression and suicidal thoughts daily and I'm just so exhausted and tired of living. If you could spare some love and prayers, I could really use it! 🙏🏾💛
To Good Charlotte and Skillet for having songs that helped me through my assault back in 2001. I never attempted suicide, but emotionally I was a wreck. Their lyrics helped me feel stronger and know that I could make it.
Without Music, I don't know if I was still here to wrote this. All of those melodies who makes me, made who I am, I will never forget them. When I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm broken, when I live my best life, I never forget all of them. I grow Up with them in my head, and I'll die with them in my head. I just want to say thank you to these artists who makes all the songs I know now, and all the songs I will know later.
i wish people understood me and at times i didn't feel like giving up all the time i just feel like i don't belong in this world. and i try so hard to fit in , i have thoughts about things in my head .But nooone really cares, i felt invisible for along time, i just wanna belong to something and be loved and i feel like i don't belong in this world, where the rest of my friends do. i just wish people wore wore more understand and less quick to judge me, but it's okay i kinda get use to people judging me, I may have those thoughts but that dosen't mean I'm going to give up to be heard, i have a voice and so dose everyone else. If people wanna ignore and not be my friend that's there problem , i know I'm good person, i just gotta not worry about what other people think of me....Have Beauitful Day Everyone
+Sarah Adams i feel sometimes that i dont belong in this world to . but if you looking good to the peapel who talks to you . they like you sure you just need to give them an chage to like you like yourself. xxx someone whit the name Sanne out the Neterlands
If you are reading this, then know that you are Beautiful, strong, and life is worth fighting for! Whatever you are going through will not be forever. And God will bring you out on the other side. Keep holding on, there will be light at the end of the tunnel!
I don't know Simple plan at all, in fact,I was just looking for something to listen to before going up to bed. But damn I'm glad I clicked. I have this group that I really connect with and it's the first group where I really feel at home in the fandom and I met my first real online friend through the fanbase. I've been listening to them for just over two years now (they debuted 2 years and a few months ago) and I couldn't stop thinking about them throughout this entire song. They feel like older brothers to me, watching them always cheers me up and a while ago when I was really feeling depressed their songs saved me from doing something I would have regretted. This song made me cry thinking about them and how even at my darkest hour I know they'll have my back, and I think it's beatutiful that Simple Plan put this perfectly into a song.
bands like SP with their songs makes me feel like im not alone in this world and that gives me somtimes power when i feel like i can crash wall with whole finger... (got the same?) 😁
this song helps so much when you're in my situation... I always were confident and positive and I always were happy, not matter hwat happened, until many little things happened in the last weeks. I would like to get back there but it's hard, I feel empty but full, I would say, I lost the will to life now... this sing really helps me to know for 3:10 minutes that I'm important and I should keep on living but always when this song is over... it starts again
This song makes me think of a very special group of people in my life. They were the ones able to reach me in my lowest time, they gave me a save and fun environment where I could find myself and be myself without judgement. I can honestly say I would not be who I am today without them. Now, I continue their kindness, as I constantly strive to be the person my friends can rely on, to be the person to save someone who was stuck, like how I was.
The song that saved my life is "Please Don't Let It Go" by HIM. It's weird because it's not a song about staying alive or anything... It's a love song, but the lyrics meant so much more to me than I could ever explain... It was exactly what I needed to hear. I literally wouldn't be here today without HIM. They saved my life. And this song describes EXACTLY how I feel about them.
I feel like this song was really just a letter sent to them and moved them enough to make it a song that only them and the sole who sent it would know about
I just came across this song after 4 years and started crying, because i remembered so many painful things from the time I was listening to this... This song really saved my life in the past.
I'm the only one who relate this to a person as a "song"? I mean, he was there exactly as the lyrics says but I'd rather say "This person saved my life" than "this song saved my life"... Idek I'm weird lol

I won't go into details but this song really did "save my life"...
I would like to state my opinion, but
It didn't actually save your life.

Love this - 👏🏼

Edit: this isn't actually my comment but I found it and just thought it would be great to spread around. You are blessed, you are loved.
Also another thing
You Matter
You Count
You are loved
You are awesome
You are beautiful
You have a good heart
It will get better.
Thank you for this
You're a good person with a beautiful heart!
I can agree
damn is this a comment or a book
thank you bro!!!! you make my day ❤️

I have a story:
Once I was in middle school and my mom was in the process of divorcing dad, and so she picked me up from school. And so she turns on the radio and this song is playing and suddenly it takes my mind off of the divorce. So a couple of days later me and mom moved to a new house without dad. And it’s been great ever since.
The End

@@darkerthanblack653 Are you referring to "Your name"?
Me thanking God while listening to this song. Thank you Lord, you never left my side 🥺
Glory to the Lord!😊
I think this Is one of the best songs I've ever heard because I listened to it... when I was feeling down, and really depressed. So this song did save my life and I can agree with everything this song is saying because I've been through it too.
How r u doing
Hootowlnumber 1 i dont know who you are but i still wanna say, thanks for staying alive :")
Hootowlnumber 1. I am so sorry 😭 I would have saved u if i could.
Thank you
That moment when a band understands you more than your friends..
Guys im actually fighting depression for fifth time
This song give me a little hope to keep on fighting

Keep on fighting
You're soul is stronger then you know.
Marco Cesar Alarcon Ramirez you can do this I feel ya
Sp is better ;D
***** Its appropriate in any video.
Same sis, come give me a hug
Saw these guys as a teenager in 2005..So glad I did..They are awesome..Been a huge fan from the very beginning of their career..35 now and still rocking out to Simple Plan...Great band and great live show as well.
This song reminds me about God
Amen.
Dear the person who is reading this,
I'm really proud of you for getting this far.
Stay strong,
Me
The title of the song says it all, especially how I struggled agaist suicide, but their song named Perfect saved my life back in '23. Thank you Simple Plan, your songs saved my life!
God Bless everyone.JESUS SAVES.❤️🌹😇🤙
Amen.
And I wish to make more Christian clips on this song from Christian movies or animation, like The Torchlighters, God with Us, Messangers, To Every Nation The Pilgrim's Progress and so on.
Amen Jesus saved me ❤
The story behind “This Song Saved My Life” (2012) is EXTRAORDINARY❕
The piece has been created after Chuck Comeau tweeted that Simple Plan wanted their fans to tell them how their music or music in general has changed or even saved their lives.
How much it helps you go through tough times and how much it makes a difference in your life.”
HOW MANY CELEBRITIES DO YOU THINK ARE THAT DEVOTED TO THEIR FOLLOWERS⁉️ 💙🎼💚
This is a perfect description of my friend Emily. She literally talked me out of suicide. Oh yeah she's also a huge SP fan too :) ❤️ you angel!
Hows your life going
Hey man how are things going? Hope you're doing great.
The girl I love is also named Emily, and she also helped me a lot, so... Irony 🤣
i really just want somebody to actually understand what im going through and i just wanna give them a hug and cry on their shoulder. But nobodyb will ever let me do that.

This song gets even more beautiful when you remember that it was composed based on the letters of the band's fans
You let me know like no one else. Its okay to be myself
My Dad passed away a few days ago on the 3nd of January 2021 from kidney and liver failure not the virus but I am and have been feeling numb aka not really feeling anything and this song is just what I needed but I don't know why it just give me a good feeling thanks simple plan.

I know this isn’t a Christian song, but every time I listen to it I think of God and how He saved me from everything I’ve been through💙🙏
❤
Agreed!
I feel into a endless pit of depression and anxiety I thought the world was out to get me...at least that's what it felt like all I can say is
...This song saved MY life..
Everyone is saying how this song is talking about a band or an artist but to me its talking about my friends. Mainly the first verse, I hope you all will find friends like mine soon because it will change your life if you havent already
I just wants to say thank you for everyone who made me happy
My condition could have been worse if it were not because of you
Yesterday, my classmate saw the cuts on my wrist and after class he dragged me to the library to listen to this song. He didn't even know who I was but I really want to thank him. I don't know if it did anything to change my decision but I spent all night crying about a dude who doesn't even know my name. I just want to thank him, cause he and this song kept me alive another night.
that's a kind person, I really hope you kept on living, maybe even happy but I hope it helped you until now and in the future. we need more of them
When I was 14 I was in a really bad place mentally and didn't think I'd live past my 20th. That same year Simple Plan released Welcome to My Life, which was a song that just got me. Every time things got really bad I'd listen to that song and it'd pull me back because I felt like I wasn't completely alone. I find it incredibly poetic that that same band who's song saved my life so many times wrote a song like this
This is Simple Plan's best song EVER!
For Big time Rush... They saved my life
To Chester Bennington, to Linkin Park. Thank you guys so much. A single day doesn't go by when you're not missed Chester, live on forever legend ❣️
:)
Simple Plan has saved countless lives and last I checked that makes You a hero
Really this song saved my life, A couple of years ago my dad passed away and then I've lost my career because of mental illness and physical anxiety. But this song gave me hope and a ton of positive energy. It helps me to make my life better. I want to say thank you so much, Simple Plan ♥️
I’m sorry about your father and I hope you have a good life
Alexander B. You are my song that saved me. Thank you and I love you :)
Currently battling depression and suicidal thoughts daily and I'm just so exhausted and tired of living. If you could spare some love and prayers, I could really use it! 🙏🏾💛
16?fan 26? Still a fan 86? Still gonna be a fan thank you guys for savjng my life.your songs saved my life.
Just wanna to say that you, Elina, saved my life ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is exactly what I want to say to this ineffable band, Simple Plan. Thank you so much for the life-saving songs you made and keep on making.
why does this song appear on my timeline? unexpectedly good
SimplePlan: "This song saved my life"
Me: "This man saved my life"
No matter how old this song gets every couple of years I come back to it
does anyone still feel saved by this song in 2022?❣️
2019 I hear this music it feels normal but in 2023 why am I so sad to hear this music again
i wish people understood me and at times i didn't feel like giving up all the time i just feel like i don't belong in this world. and i try so hard to fit in , i have thoughts about things in my head .But nooone really cares, i felt invisible for along time, i just wanna belong to something and be loved and i feel like i don't belong in this world, where the rest of my friends do. i just wish people wore wore more understand and less quick to judge me, but it's okay i kinda get use to people judging me, I may have those thoughts but that dosen't mean I'm going to give up to be heard, i have a voice and so dose everyone else. If people wanna ignore and not be my friend that's there problem , i know I'm good person, i just gotta not worry about what other people think of me....Have Beauitful Day Everyone

One more light saved me! This song made me stronger..
bands like SP with their songs makes me feel like im not alone in this world and that gives me somtimes power when i feel like i can crash wall with whole finger...
2020 still loving it!!!!!!
All Time Low. missing you saved my life
I was literally just going to comment this. All Time Low is everything to me. Missing You and Therapy are the reasons I'm still alive.
I still remember first time my dad show me this song week before he died shit still hit home cuz it really did save my life ❤️
I dedicate this song to Bad Omens
"Careful What You Wish For"
Thank you Noah.. you saved my life that night
I love this song when i was a child ☺
This song reminds me of my life so much
This song makes me think of a very special group of people in my life.
For SHINee and Jonghyun, your songs saved my life 😊🥰♥️💖
Because of you my dad and I are so much closer than we used to be :) thanks to all that helped ^_^ this song is dedicated to you guys!!!
I feel like this song was really just a letter sent to them and moved them enough to make it a song that only them and the sole who sent it would know about
Wow, it's the first time I've heard this song and I loved it. Definitely Simple Plan are true artists

I dedicate this to All Time Low. Their music is everything to me.
This band saved my life.
