I don't think Neville had forgotten his robes. If you notice during the overhead view as owls fly over the tables, it looks like there are robes on the bench next to him. Plus, during that scene, quite a few other students aren't wearing their robes, so Neville isn't the only one. It's strange how this has become an almost accepted theory across HP videos. Otherwise, nice video. There are a couple of details I'd mised previously.
The narrator just worded it poorly when she said "he's the only one not wearing robes". Other students may have forgotten their robes as well but it doesn't change the fact that Neville also forgot his own. He just have a Remembrall to clue him in. I mean if you are in the same situation irl, you aren't exempted just because others also broke school rules.
@@soulscyther666 Except I also said it looks like Neville has his robes besides him on the bench, if you look at the overhead shot. Besides, is it breaking school rules if he's just not wearing them at breakfast? Neville is clearly wearing them for the flying lesson after, but it's not clear if that's the first lesson of the day. (*movies, I need to check the books again).
The necklace shown on the bust is completely different to the cursed necklace. The cursed necklace's gems are flat black opal and the one on the bust has almost round, brighter blue gems.
@Latest Obsession Draco didn't curse it, it was already cursed when he bought it. In the book the owner of Borgin and Burkes says that it is cursed and has claimed the lives of 19 muggles. Harry also recognises it as the same one he saw in the shop. But yeah, the movie designs are different.
I can't remember if it's in the movies, but in the books that "Zombie Hand" is used by Malfoy to see through magical darkness (he used Fred and George's Peruvian Darkness powder to hide, and the Hand to see through it).
no mcgonagall was teaching james potter she couldnt have been playing for the house quidditch team the year before he won the quidditch cup. although she did play as a chaser when she was at school
This video is only one I have watched, so I don’t know if this has been discovered or not, but in the divination class scene in Prisoner of Azkaban where Ron has to read Harry’s tea leaves, he actually does predict Harry’s future, “You’re going to die, but you’ll be happy about it”. That seems to be pointing to the end of part two of The Deathly Hallows where Harry is prepared and willing to die.
Issue being the final book wouldn't have been out for another 3 years and the only person in the cast/crew that knew anything that far ahead in the story was Alan Rickman. Also it's, "you're gonna suffer, but you're going to be happy about it."
if you notice when she says Neville was the only one not wearing robes, you in fact see a background person not wearing nay either look behind him two tables back turned looking like they are catching something
7 is a very common number in HP Harry's quidditch number is 7, Voldemort has 7 horcruxes, there are seven books, there are 7 years in hogwarts to study Also i saw one sneaky detail in the books. In philosophers stone in the chapter " the potions master" it is said that there are 142 steps totally in hogwarts. When you add all 3 numbers (1+4+2) you get 7!
@@crumbs4316 I have ideas about what Neville may have forgotten. Remember that his parents were tortured into insanity when Neville was very young. I think his Gran may have put a memory charm on him to be sure he didn't have to remember that, and it was a little too strong, leaving him chronically forgetful. But that makes the scene with the remembrall tragic, rather than funny.
The film makers goofed with number 2. Regardless of whether you go with the theory she was born in 1935 or circa 1889 (to accommodate new canon from Fantastic Beasts, the Short Stories from Hogwarts books, etc.), Minerva Mcgongall couldn't have been a student in 1971. Also from her official biography on wizardingworld, we know that she gave up playing Quidditch after a nasty fall in her last year at school (either 1954 or circa 1908, depending which year of birth you go with).
Remember how it was rumored that being a defense against the dark arts teacher was cursed? That foreshadows that something bad would happen to Snape and I was right, Snape died in deathly hallows. Even Remus Lupin died! And Quirrel, and Barty Crouch JR. Something bad also happened to umbridge, she was sent to askaban! Sorry for the long summary btw
One other detail about the ties. Most movies it’s half on/off. But in Order of Phoenix , during the time he trains the others in Dumbledore’s Army. His tie is always perfectly tied. Radcliffe said he wanted to look like a professor/teacher for all those scenes.
I wonder if Americans feel offended that “The Philosophers stone” was changed to “The Sorcerers stone” for fear that an American audience wouldn’t understand it
Ahhhh from personal experience of being an American we are not as bright as others. And since people like to comfort the idiots they change the title so that we didn’t feel sad when we didn’t understand.🙃😌
Not offended but the philosopher’s stone would have done equally well. American audiences would have understood it and it goes along with other references to alchemy in fiction. Thinking of Discovery of Witches.
0:28 Snape's question to Harry about the potion recipe always reminds me of the opening scene of The Paper Chase, where the overbearing Professor Kingsfield asks "Please state the facts of the case of Hawkins versus McGee, ... Mr. Hart!"
Professor McGonagall never played in the same team as James Potter. She's old af, James would've been something like 30 years old when Harry was in first grade

I don't believe they were on the same team, it was just showing the best players from different years. I do know that Madam Hooch also played quiddich with Professor McGonagall the same year but were on different teams
so many details omg and i never would have notice them because im usually focus on the plot of what's going on to pay attention to those details. these movies are legendary.
There were actually a few I didn't know. Some were obvious. But your statement of George looking over to Fred and him not being there ever again, I started crying again...silent screams of heartbreak.
Actually the name on the trophy is Minerva’s younger brother Malcolm. Minerva could not have gotten a school award at the same time as James since she went to school in the 1940s.
I cannot imagine life without Harry Potter, esp back in 2001 when everybody was getting excited for HP1 to release in cinemas...that's an unforgettable moment. #TeamHarryPotter
I remember everyone having the first edition books in my class and how fast they all would sell out in stores. Even the news frequently covering the harry potter phenomenon i never thought we'd get such epic movies, how blessed we were.
The remembrall one is complete nonsense. He's sitting next to his robes. Its not a requirement to wear them at all times. Also note this scene is in the books where there is no mention of what he is wearing
There's a lot of stuff that I ended up finding out later in terms of how much Snape protected Harry; his demonstration of Expelliarmus in the duel in part 2 (a defensive spell useful against curses), failing to give truth serum to umbrige via stalling and using fakes, counter-cursing Harry's broom and even looking the other way when knowing full well that Harry had his old potions book.
What I really miss is when our parents queued at Tescos before it opened to get the newest HP book and everyone was reading them. Also the excitement when the newest film came out in cinemas, miss those days as a child
I have one more hidden thing about Harry Potter, in I think the goblet of fire, Dumbledore goes over to his cabinet and in the cabinet if the logo in the deathly hollows (I’m not sure if it has a name since I’ve only watched the movies once) it is hard to see as it is dark, but the goblet of fire came out before the deathly hollows so no one even knew what it was
Another detail that you can see in harry potter and the order of phoenix is that the more power/control professor umbridge gets over the school her clothes gets more and more pink
I think they should do another movie. They have all grown up now and could do a proper 9th movie no problem. They would look more like the parents they portrayed at the end of the 8th. We all agree it's time to continue the journey. No way its over.
I've noticed another one about Hermione's hair: The further we go in the DH Hermione's feelings for Ron get stronger and the further we go into the films her hair also gets darker especially after Hermione and Ron got together Hermione's hair was become more dark and ginger like Ron; therefore showing that her connection for Ron is getting deeper & stronger
Pos: Dumbbledore made a refernce to the imporance needing a pair of socks. Jump forward to the Cos and Dobby is given a pair of socks, hence freeing him. He also mentioned a room magically appearing when he was in need of a loo. The Room of Requirement appears to him, later to Neville for the DA, and Tom Riddle along with past students needing it to hide things. Each time the room transformed to meet a specific need.

@@ivanchan7175 i think it was intentional bc in one of the books (either CoS or PS i am too lazy to look lol) Fred and George did a quote like "Well,we are not stupid, one of us is Gred, and the other is Forge" i think that was bc of it😂

Well if you look closely you'll notice he's the only one without his robe
Literally two tables behind him, someone else has no robe either.
Lol also if the watched the film his robes are actually clearly seen on the bench next to him so they got that wrong !!
"Lucius and Malfoy"
They're both Malfoys. That should say Lucius and Draco
Draco Malfoy is called malfoy and lucius malfoy is called Lucius, so not a big deal
On multiple occasions, in the book, people refer to Lucius Malfoy as Malfoy. I agree that they should’ve said Lucius and Draco
In Dumbledore's memory, when he visits Tom Riddle in the orphanage, Tom has a picture on the wall of the place where he later hides the necklace horcrux.
That makes sense because the place where he hid it was a place he traveld to with the other orphanages as weekend trip
That is a well-known fact, not a secret
@@CammyAlwaysWins ok... I didn't say it was a secret
Ok. They just wanted to point out that they knew it to, and you had not just made an awesome discovery.
The man reading Stephen Hawkins book is Ian brown the musician and lead singer of the stone roses ...legend
I thought it was Brian cox (the physicist). Would had been fitting as well.
McGonagall went to hogwarts the same time as Tom Riddle, and she was a professor in 1971, so that's probably someone else
Well, she also wasn't born until 1928 - but was somehow in FB 2

@@RudesMom I dunno, pissed me off
@@bradtruscott1510 Agreed, it was sloppy writing unless that was supposed to be her mother or an aunt. Time turner accident would be one way around that but it would have been one really big accident as I don't think a time turner should go back that far in time.
Fred and George part is just too sad🥺😭😭😭
in the duel between McGonagall and Snape , Snape also picks up the death eaters wands...
The craziest hidden fact that still blows my mind to this day is " harry hermione and ron were played by three muggles 🤯" the amount of effort it must have taken them to train these muggles to do magic must have been insane!
Lol
For the light flickering on his face in the memories of chamber of secrets, I'm pretty sure that's because of the torches throughout the castle to light up the castle.
Dude you forgot the fume colour of amortentia...before Hermione told she smelt "fresh mown grass" it became green..then before saying "toothpaste" it became white & whe she suddenly becomes quit with a blush...you can see GiNGeR fume!?
It was a sign that #Harmione will never be a thing😂😂
I don't think Neville had forgotten his robes. If you notice during the overhead view as owls fly over the tables, it looks like there are robes on the bench next to him. Plus, during that scene, quite a few other students aren't wearing their robes, so Neville isn't the only one. It's strange how this has become an almost accepted theory across HP videos.
Otherwise, nice video. There are a couple of details I'd mised previously.
Other people in different houses don't have robes on either so I doubt he forgot his robes
It’s been several years since I’ve read the book but im pretty sure it mentions in the book that it is in fact his robes that he’s forgotten
@@spicyjoeflaminfajitas I haven't read the first book in about 13 years I'd have to reread it myself
I saw that and was confused where the so called necklace was in the shop. They are clearly different.
It is explained in the books that the necklace came from Brogin and Burkes
@@bradyspage indeed, but the "hidden detail" pointed out in this video clearly shows two completely different necklaces.
1:04 This has always bugged me.. James wasn't a seeker but a chaser
Yes! This! He was a chaser in the book and stole a snitch seen in one of the flashbacks
And McGonagall taught the Marauders, she didn't go to school with them. She wasn't on the House team at the same time as him.
@BLΛƆKPIИK Yay!
if you notice when she says Neville was the only one not wearing robes, you in fact see a background person not wearing nay either look behind him two tables back turned looking like they are catching something
yeah this part was completle nonsense. Infact you can see his robe is on the seat next to him.
The picture in Tom’s room when dumbledore first met him is the location of one of the horcruxes
7 is a very common number in HP
Harry's quidditch number is 7, Voldemort has 7 horcruxes, there are seven books, there are 7 years in hogwarts to study
Also i saw one sneaky detail in the books. In philosophers stone in the chapter " the potions master" it is said that there are 142 steps totally in hogwarts. When you add all 3 numbers (1+4+2) you get 7!
1:28 Thank you 😊I was trying so hard to think about what he’s forgotten... I think we all forgot about the robe
That is wrong he didn‘t forget his robe
@@bilbobeutelin3262 what did he forget then?
@@crumbs4316 I have ideas about what Neville may have forgotten. Remember that his parents were tortured into insanity when Neville was very young. I think his Gran may have put a memory charm on him to be sure he didn't have to remember that, and it was a little too strong, leaving him chronically forgetful. But that makes the scene with the remembrall tragic, rather than funny.
That wizard reading Stephen Hawking is Ian Brown, a very talented musician. He is a huge HP fan and asked for a cameo in the movie!
Cool to know.

I knew the fact was wrong bu thanks for the nice explanation
@Latest Obsession I know
Not offended but the philosopher’s stone would have done equally well. American audiences would have understood it and it goes along with other references to alchemy in fiction. Thinking of Discovery of Witches.
I'm Canadian, 24, and I'm still not quite sure what Philosopher means 😆

Professor McGonagall never played in the same team as James Potter. She's old af, James would've been something like 30 years old when Harry was in first grade

What Snape asks: the potion recipe
What he means: F you Harry and I'll see you tomorrow.
The scarves and ties stuff made me laugh crazily don’t ask why.
Actually the name on the trophy is Minerva’s younger brother Malcolm. Minerva could not have gotten a school award at the same time as James since she went to school in the 1940s.
J K Rolling has written that Minerva is the only witch of her siblings; her brothers are not wizards. Her mother is a witch, her father is a muggle.
I personally liked lord of the rings better but that's just what appeal's to me
The remembrall one is complete nonsense. He's sitting next to his robes. Its not a requirement to wear them at all times.

Mcgonagall was born in 1935 and in 1970 she was 60 and her full name was Minerva Isabelle Mcgonagall
7:32 I Literally cried 🧁
There's a lot of stuff that I ended up finding out later in terms of how much Snape protected Harry; his demonstration of Expelliarmus in the duel in part 2 (a defensive spell useful against curses), failing to give truth serum to umbrige via stalling and using fakes, counter-cursing Harry's broom and even looking the other way when knowing full well that Harry had his old potions book.
I love your all videos thank you for maked them ❤❤
What I really miss is when our parents queued at Tescos before it opened to get the newest HP book and everyone was reading them. Also the excitement when the newest film came out in cinemas, miss those days as a child
I have one more hidden thing about Harry Potter, in I think the goblet of fire, Dumbledore goes over to his cabinet and in the cabinet if the logo in the deathly hollows (I’m not sure if it has a name since I’ve only watched the movies once) it is hard to see as it is dark, but the goblet of fire came out before the deathly hollows so no one even knew what it was
7:35 Okay, that is so sad. I’m crying now.
Another detail that you can see in harry potter and the order of phoenix is that the more power/control professor umbridge gets over the school her clothes gets more and more pink
Another reason why I hate pink!
In the goblet of fire’s Warner brothers logo, if you look closely, you can see Nagini’s reflection, a spoiler for the movie
I think they should do another movie. They have all grown up now and could do a proper 9th movie no problem. They would look more like the parents they portrayed at the end of the 8th. We all agree it's time to continue the journey. No way its over.
I've noticed another one about Hermione's hair:
The further we go in the DH Hermione's feelings for Ron get stronger and the further we go into the films her hair also gets darker especially after Hermione and Ron got together Hermione's hair was become more dark and ginger like Ron; therefore showing that her connection for Ron is getting deeper & stronger
I’d have to say that the wig was “Pretty Obvious!”
Nice one! Though for me it wasn't... I miss the obvious so much that I actually enjoyed the video. ;)
Little aside fact, the guy reading A Brief History of Time in the Leaky Calderón is a cameo by Ian Brown, lead singer of The Stone Roses 😊
Everyones gangsta until you realize they dint come up with the rememberall theory harry potter theory did
