Moldova is amazingly the most rarely visited country in Europe.
Consequently, many people do not know much about it and even fewer people know that this country is one of the global leaders in terms of per capita fruit and nut exports.
Moldova exports more fruits per capita than Turkey, Poland, Italy or France and it continues to expand production very rapidly. Thus, Moldova is definitely a country to watch!
This year Moldova was heavily affected by weather - severe drought, early frosts and late rains. Moldova is awesome! The country produces plenty of fruits and the quality is very high, but prices are still competitive! The country has a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement with the EU and is a member of the CIS.

Excellent video East Fuit. What is the % of seedless vs seeded grape varieties in Moldova now? The trend is for seedless, Chile's 90 % of grape varieties are seedless.

Seedless will probably be around 2% only, which is the major problem for the country and future of its grapes exports. Please bear in mind that climate in Moldova is continental. It is probably the coldest country on Earth with such a massive production of table grapes and most of seedless varieties are adopted for very hot or relatively warm climate.
Nevertheless, thanks to the climate, the taste of traditional varieties is very rich and deep unlikely simple sweet taste you get from warmer climates.

Many varieties of table grapes are grown in Moldova, but the grape variety that bears the name of the country "MOLDOVA" is one of the best known and appreciated in our country and abroad, which was obtained 30 years ago at the National Institute of Vine and Wine in Chisinau, the capital of the Republic of Moldova.
