Finishing my Sweater Dress and Starting a New Challenge |

I'm nearing the finish line on my knit sweater dress. And I've challenged myself to make 1 hat for every day in 2025. Who wants to join me!

Last year I set a goal to knit hats and gloves for charity. I am a slow knitter and was going to learn crochet for this very reason since I hear crocheting is faster than knitting. I won't set a number until after I make the first one. I am going to do root you on and join you when I can. I had already found local charities just gotta get going on learning. Please don't get tired of sharing your hats. This is the kick in the butt I need. Thank you for motivating me.

That’s great, yeah part of the reason I decided to learn crochet was to get some stuff done faster. Most of the hats will be crochet but I’m going to try to get some knit in there too because I personally prefer knit hats.

Amazing hats! I hope 2025 is a wonderful year for you and your family. We are struggling in LA because of the wildfires. I’m a few miles from Santa Monica and the air quality is extremely bad, not feeling too good. All schools are closed, we’re staying inside, conserving water. Worried about friends and community. It all has a surreal , pandemic feel to it. I appreciate your content, such calm and inspirational vibes. Be well Zuri 🙏

I hope you’re safe. I have a lot of friends in the Santa Monica area and most of my coworkers are in LA because that is where my company is based. We’ve have several people who were under evacuation and one of my managers had damage from the high winds. They’ve all said the same thing about the air. You all are in my prayers.

Yeah that is my plan, just haven’t gotten around to picking it back up yet. I’ll probably do that this week now that my dress is done.

For the hats, could you double strand some of those thinner yarns to help with the thickness?
