To be honest, this question has as many answers as living beings on earth. Every life's meaning is different. Your meaning of life might not resonate with me or vice-versa.
@@Buzyideas Kind of what I meant. Gita gives the individual to choose a answer, IMHO. Buddhi yoga, Bhakti and a bunch of others. However, the well-meaning gentleman tells the people "x is the meaning of life", when he should have said, "you make up your own meaning"
This video clearly shows why bhakti people should not interpret yogic sciences as they couldn't even interpret a single book Bhagavad Gita in its original form 📌🙏
The Gita Should be a starting point for one's spiritual journey, and the reader should then move on to the Mahabharatha and the Ramayana, because The Gita is incomplete without the context in which it is taking place. The Gita is truly one of its kind in the world as it is taking place on a battlefield, and it is not an interpretation of what God said. Krishna IS God, and He finally shows his true form to Arjuna as the latter is still not ready to fight his brothers. That's where the famous quote of Oppenheimer is from.
No hate but I realized that this is translated by the Sreela Prabhupaada of ISCKON or HKM Bhagavad Geeta but not the original by Vyaasa. There seems to be a different meaning explained by him than the original Geeta from "Jaya".
It is absolutely different! They have manipulated the translations of the original verses in their version. And it take merely one example for me to prove it. 1) Open 13.32 of their version of the BG and then closely verify the meanings of the Sanskrit Words (such as "निर्गुणत्व"/"nirgunatvāt" and "परम"/"param") with a Sanskrit Dictionary. You will notice that the given meanings of the words are no where close to the actual meanings. They don't even etymologically make sense. 2) Then, to be confirm, do a comparative analysis of that same verse with a few other versions of the Gita. And you will instantly realise that most of the other Gitas give you a far better understanding of the verses than what ISKCON does. ISKCON has Abrahamized the Bhagwat Gita.
You are presenting it like other abrahmic religions Questions like what is meaning and purpose of life contains vast philosophy And I think upnishad will help them better They don't know any context of Geeta

I don't think we should Abrahamize the Bhagavad Gita like this. We need not show how amazing or great it is and how magically it gives you answers instantly. Let those who are willing come and seek for themselves. 2:50 the honest answer would be no, because that was a bunch a out of context lines which shouldn't honestly give any answers
BS! Krishna wanted you to understand him as the eternal formless all-pervading Brahman. And not as some isolated figure limited by certain attributes pertaining to material nature and our senses.

I offer my respect to Him, because understanding Him means understanding the Vedas and He is therefore the supreme spiritual master." Here, The word “rupaya” says that Krsna is the embodiment of sat-cit-ananda. So He is Brahman and at the same time has form. Krsna is the source of Brahman and can have any form he wants and still be Brahman. Krsna can be realized as Brahman, Paramatma and Bhagavan, and Bhakti leads you to Bhagavan realization which is the highest understanding of the absolute truth. Very simple and straight forward. Krsna never says that we can understand Krsna with material dull senses. Dhuryodhana never saw Krsna as the Supreme even though they met. Only devotees can see Him as He is.

Life is not a, word, or a sentence. It's way much more. Even reading the, Bhagwad Gita, doesn't do that. You, need to understand it. Life, and situations, will give meaning to the shlokas. Think, you are there, listening to the, Divine, conversation, between, Bhagwan and his disciple, i.e., everyone in the universe. Then, and then alone, you will understand, and every time you read the, Bhagwad Gita, you will understand differently. Just absorb, and be one with the, Self.
At 1.03 he says 'we are here to ask questions about the 'Bhaagavad-Giitaa''. A person who cannot even pronounce the name 'Bhagavad-Giitaa' properly has nothing to teach anybody! There is no such thing as a 'Bhaagavad-Giitaa' . In SamskRta grammar the words 'Bhaagavad' and 'Bhagavad' mean 2 completely DIFFERENT things! 'Bhaagavad' means 'about God, derived from God' but 'Bhagavad' means 'of God'.
Honestly, there is a lot more depth to the question of Whats the meaning of life in the Gita than what he explains
Exactly
