I make my steel cut oats in my Instant Pot every 10 days or so. I make 4 cups at a time and I store it in the refrigerator so I can have it every morning.
Super excited- fellow empty nester here, thank you for sharing! Rec'd my SF machine in July so am pretty new to fr drying and am looking forward to gleaning all I can. It was so valuable for preserving my garden (along with canning). I knew by the way you said 'bag' that you were from upper Midwest:).
You can! In fact you can do slices also and they are like cheese crackers. Pepper Jack does best in smaller strips for some reason. Thanks for watching and I hope you subscribe to the channel! :-)
Thank you for creating your channel, I also purchased a Stay Fresh unit and they're not many sites to share experience using the Stay Fresh until. I love my unit but I'm still experimenting cause I just got my unit in July. I look forward to learning tips and tricks from you. Thanks again
I am still learning! :-) After having it a few months, go back and read the manual- it all starts to make more sense. LOVE my machine too, and there is so much that can be done with it!
It really came down to the customer service complaints of the bigger brand mostly. But after reading the reviews from those that had both this machine and the bigger brand, most felt this was a more solid machine. I liked also that it had a candy mode (though others have that now too) and the thermometer option was a nice feature. I think Blue Alpine is another brand worth exploring, but they were just coming out when I purchased my machine. Now, that said, I want to be up front and tell you that I am an affiliate now for Stay Fresh. But I never would have reached out to them to get that had I not loved the machine. And if you buy one, and use my code DRYCAN, you can get $50 off. :-)
Thank you for the facts. Note it is not necessary to brings items close to the camera, it actually blurs them, holding them where you are is much better.😃

Nice vid! I would be interested why you chose Stay Fresh over the other brands.

Awesome video
thanks, and I appreciate your time!
Question, why would you blanch the grapes?
Blanching can retain color better. For many foods, it also improves texture once it is freeze dried.
