Galing po ako ng Davao last year sumakay ako ng taxi. Siyempre pag taga-Manila ka instinct na sa atin na magpa-sobra ng bayad. Nagulat ako kasi sinuklian ako ng taxi driver eksakto kung magkano yung nakalagay sa metro nya. Sabi nya hindi sila naniningil ng sobra bawal daw sa kanila yun kasi sabi ni Mayor Duterte. The next day naglakad ako ng madaling araw, mga 3AM yata yun, may mga nadatnan ako na mga dalaga naglalakad din, hindi sila natatakot sa daan. Ito ang patunay ng kagandahan sa Davao City base sa karanasan ko.

I have to say that I go back to my boarding house at 2am mostly after hanging out with my friends and I could say that Davao City is the safest place I have ever been. At 2am I walk alone for about 2Km, holding my smartphone in my hand, with a very big bag at my back, not looking at the people in front of me, and I came home safely. I go to malls, parks, or any crowded areas holding my smartphone and no one seems to bother stealing it. DAVAO CITY IS THE SAFEST CITY O HAVE EVER BEEN TO. And where safety and discipline is at work, you can say that LIFE IS TRULY HERE!

True. I walk around the streets of Davao every night. Every 10 minutes, I see a police car patrolling the city. Everybody is law abiding here which makes Davao City one of the safest places in the world.
I can guarantee this as well. I studied college in davao and I walked the city streets in the wee hours of morning and I always feel safe. Duterte doesnt mind the youth partying as long as its peaceful and no illegal activities involved.

I can attest that davao is a safe place to visit. when my hubby and I visited Manila, we were followed by a group of bystanders (maybe 4-5 men) on our way to the hotel we stayed at. I told my husband not to panic because we were just a few steps away from the hotel's main door. Then one of the guards saw us and noticed the unusual, shouted at them by saying 'stay away or face the consequence' (he was carrying an automatic rifle during that time). We didnt go back to that place again (Malate). We stayed in Makati the next time we visited. In davao, we walked 3 blocks from the hotel to the restaurant at 1AM but no one followed us. my hubby is convinced that davao is indeed, a very safe place to visit for tourists like him.

So now we have new And unified taxis in davao, these taxi drivers were all registered , and if you're from other part of this world and landed at the davao airport, and happened to ride a taxi and left ur belongings , you can be sure to get back those belongings bec our Mayor and the police were cooperating for the security in this place.the drivers are so afraid to loose his job !!'! Yes our mayor had done so many developments in our place, that's why whoever his running mate for mayor won't won, He doesn't need to bribe, to betrayed in order to win, we davaenos have seen with our own very Eyes , the development, the growth and peace of our city!!! In 1986 in the time of people's revolution in Mla he was the appointed Vice Mayor to respicio. Aside from establihing the Alsa Masa with chief of police Calida etc. When He became our Mayor sometime in 1988, i could remember that over the radio all the houswives ages 18 to 55 without jobs, just staying in their houses for 12 hrs doing nothing execept Tchismisan and suruy suroy were encouraged to go to Davao City Hall bec the Mayor will give them jobs: street sweeper, utility man/ woman at the Regional Trial Court! Wherever. And so that was the beginning that almost all of the women in our place "agdao" were able to find jobs. They complained"" init man manilhig" the mayor told them, you sweep early in the morning before the sunbreak and in the afternoon! So you could be able to see from end to end of davao city, it was clean already. My brother was working at the City Planning office, and he told me the mayor at that time ordered all the Davao City hall employees to go out and clean the streetS of so many pasted campaign election materials within davao city and aince then our mayor prohibites the merhod of pasting campaign materials on whatever establishments. The Davao Medical Center--- he bought new emergency cars. He increased the annual budget of the hospital. He bought a jeepney with medicines stationed at piblic markets that the poor can just afford to buy medicines that don't require prescriptions( but now no longer exist) bec at that time the povertiness of davaoenos was overwhelming!!

And before he fired the abused police officers, he increased their salaries. He constructed their new building, he implemented reforms all over, slowly but surely. That's why the "Buayas" in davao existed ko longer, they're already history. The taxis, b4 we have had PU(public utility)minicas as taxis, he wanted to demolish them bec they were old and not pretty good, the drivers complained"" what will happen to us??? Where can we get our source of living???" The Mayor talked to bangayan, and bangayan bought hundreds of new taxis and the city granted a rent- to- own taxi to all drivers, they paid bangayan . So now we have new And unified taxis in davao, these taxi drivers were all registered , and if you're from other part of this world and landed at the davao airport, and happened to ride a taxi and left ur belongings , you can be sure to get back those belongings bec our Mayor and the police were cooperating for the security in this place.the drivers are so afraid to loose his job !!'!

In 1986 in the time of people's revolution in Mla he was the appointed Vice Mayor to respicio. Aside from establihing the Alsa Masa with chief of police Calida etc. When He became our Mayor sometime in 1988, i could remember that over the radio all the houswives ages 18 to 55 without jobs, just staying in their houses for 12 hrs doing nothing execept Tchismisan and suruy suroy were encouraged to go to Davao City Hall bec the Mayor will give them jobs: street sweeper, utility man/ woman at the Regional Trial Court! Wherever. And so that was the beginning that almost all of the women in our place "agdao" were able to find jobs. They complained"" init man manilhig" the mayor told them, you sweep early in the morning before the sunbreak and in the afternoon! So you could be able to see from end to end of davao city, it was clean already. My brother was working at the City Planning office, and he told me the mayor at that time ordered all the Davao City hall employees to go out and clean the streetS of so many pasted campaign election materials within davao city and aince then our mayor prohibites the merhod of pasting campaign materials on whatever establishments.
The Davao Medical Center--- he bought new emergency cars. He increased the annual budget of the hospital.
He bought a jeepney with medicines stationed at piblic markets that the poor can just afford to buy medicines that don't require prescriptions( but now no longer exist) bec at that time the povertiness of davaoenos was overwhelming!!
