The answer I guess is the shadows. With a torch you are the center of the light and cast shadows away. Relying on other distant light sources can cast shadows over you, the enemies and terrain, essentially torchless.

I dont know why in this level torch is important, the whole town is burning and giving enough light source. Still a banger level tho

Isn't this the regular version of the song?
No, regular version does not have the same intro and some of the instruments are bit louder. This version only plays when torch is completely out.
