Honestly goodwill has gotten greedy last few years. Almost everything is marked at or near retail price. And as you pointed out they separate the good donations for sale on a secondary market.

Found a couple sterling candlesticks and a knife. The knife was the only thing not marked, but it was also not magnetic, I got it for 13 cents
